As most of the group move straight across to the opposite tunnel of the way they came in, Leann moves to the right, listening at that tunnel with the turn not far along it.
The whispers are definitely more distinct from the tunnel to the right.
This room contains a large wood-framed bed with a rotted feather mattress with tattered green sheets, a wardrobe containing several old robes with the doors hanging off of rusty hinges, a pair of iron candle sticks, and an open crate containing 30 tortures and a leather sack with 15 candles inside it. At the foot of the bed is an closed wooden footlocker.
"Find anything?" Leann calls from her position back in the dining area, guarding the tunnel that was to the right, while the others check out the room.
As you begin looking through the chest, the ground erupts as two figures leap towards you. You can tell that the figures are Elizabeth and Gustav Durst from the portraits upstairs, but there are several key differences. Their limbs are unnaturally stretched out. Their skin is a desiccated gray that clings tightly to their form. Their hair is long and stringy, and their eyes glint with an evil intelligence. As they spring forward, they open their mouths too widely to be normal, and you can see they have several rows of serrated teeth in their mouths. Their forked tongue lash round as they release an unearthly wail.
Leann, from where you are, you can barely see 4 figures rip themselves from the earthen walls and begin hailing as they rush toward the group on all fours. They look humanoid, but they are emancipated. Their flesh looks dry and is a sickly purple shade. They were tattered black robes around their desiccated frame.
((Curse my internet connection, I hate it. I wrote my post before the DM's post was posted and it got posted later.))
Alev grabs the sack with the candles. If asked why, he will say they might need them later when the cleric's gift of darkvision runs out... But the truth is that he has sticky fingers and the candles seem to be the only not-decayed thing on the room.
"...Nothing yet!" He caws to Leann, as he waits for Skip to open the footlocker... But he's promptly interrupted by the figures. "More ghosts?" He shierks, scared, as he turns for cover. He wants as much distance between himself and the spirits as possible. Only then, he'll start attacking with spells.
Sergei groans and steels himself for a tough fight. He’d like to catch several enemies in a cone of fire, if possible? If not, he’ll take a different tack.
There is no hesitation from Rudick. While he had not quite expected the pair to burst where they were, this did not stop him from stepping forth, interposing as much of himself between Skip and the pair as he swung right for Gustav's head! Hit or miss, he spits off to the side before saying, "Seems we'll be making good that promise sooner than expected." Then he held up his shield and rolled his hammer shoulder in anticipation of a round two.

Depending of how long these things are able to reach, Alev flies to the air in a panic, wings fluttering as he keeps himself above the floor for now, just as high as the ceiling allows him to. There, remembering what had worked last time against the ghost of the maid, he casts magic missile again. This time, the darts of light separate and strike at different targets: One attacks "Elizabeth", the other strikes against "Gustav" and the third one just strikes at the same time and on the same spot as whichever of the two glowing darts seemed like the weakest.

Two glowing projectiles of energy slam into Gustav as the other smacks into Elizabeth. They leave small, smoking craters where they struck.
Using that as a distraction, Skip rolls out of the way and manages to hide himself from view. (Just so you know, rogues can hide as a bonus action and can still attack for future reference.)

Alev watches from above that there's more of these things, but says nothing. He doesn't fully process everything that's happening, too many things are happening at once!
He sees the monster he recognized as the father of the two dead children from earlier leaping towards Rudick and attacking him after taking the orc's warhammer hit like it was nothing. Panicking, he doesn't cast any spells on it out of fear of hurting his teammate by mistake. Instead, he reacts on pure instinct and does what he always did when he was just a scared street urchin trying way too hard to be a rogue: He dives towards it from above, dagger in hand.
He tries to stab it with his dagger from behind, while he simultaneously claws at it with the sharp talons of his other hand. Alev doesn't think of himself as a fighter, he knows this is probably a very dumb idea, but if he at least gets to distract it long enough for the bulky orc to get back on his feet to help him or gets it to back off from him so that he can do his sorcerer thing without hurting the orc, then that's a win... Right?
"Get up, big guy! Are you okay?" He screams at Rudick.
Action: Two-Weapon Fighting (...Technically, I think.)
"Calm down, feathered brain. I'm fine."Rudick said after mustering what strength he could to throw Gustav off him for at least a moment's worth of breathing room. Though much of his armor and helmet had plenty of scratches in it now, the Orc look no more worse for wear than he had since the start of the fight. If Gustav isn't dead after the flurry of attacks from others, a now revenge minded Orc would try to seal the deal; the head of his warhammer now faintly glowing red as fresh from the fire.
If Gustav however had been slain(be it his hands or another), then he looks to Elizabeth, started to march for her, but then some whispered wisdom in mind sends him out of the room, clanking hammer against shield to draw the Ghouls on Sergei to him as he marched forth to do battle.
Action: Warhammer Time on Gustav. Attack: 19 Damage: 8 magical bludgeoning.
