assuming he comes with Kyle. You are an interesting being who seems to be tied with both parts of my history. I'll make it simple, I don't like humans I may be one on the outside but they have shown I am not on the inside. I must know I can trust you with my life as soon that moment may come. I give Hardi leave as he is committed to a higher power. You seem the opposite. So, do I trust you? Or leave you behind?
Coryn walked off with Kyle, shrugging as he did so. He listened to what the Human said, patiently nodding his head as he did so.
"Eh, I wouldn't judge everyone by their heritage. Some people are good, and some people are bad, their blood usually doesn't have much to do with it. However, I'm definitely not here to hurt ya. How about we get a drink tonight, talk about those demons that seem to be haunting ya?" The Half-Elf commented, winking at Kyle as he finished. The conversation was certainly odd for someone he barely knew, but it definitely wasn't the first time someone had accused him of being underhanded.
The Townmaster's hall has sturdy stone walls, a pitched wooden roof, and a bell tower at the back. Posted on a board next to the front door is a notice written in Common that says:
"REWARD - ORCS NEAR WYVERN TOR. INQUIRE WITHIN"
The current townmaster is a male human banker-type named Harbin Wester - a fat, nervous looking old man - and he appears to be under a lot of pressure. Sildar is currently talking to Harbin, trying to find the whereabouts of Wave Echo Cave, the cave the Rockseeker brothers were intending to go.
This is the scene you step into as you walk into the Townmaster Hall.
As Coryn walks past the front door, he reaches out to rip down the notice about the orcs. If he is able to rip it down, he stuffs it in his pocket. If there's money to be made, he's not going to let some random band of adventurers get the bounty first.
"Harbin, I assume?" The Half-Elf stated after watching the scene at hand. His hands were shoved in his pockets as he walked up to the old man, a friendly smirk across his face.
Brugo journey's with everyone to the Towmaster's Hall and walks in, his right hand still shaking inside his robe.
"Get a grip, Bru. Just breathe." He thinks to himself as he walks in. He watches Coryn take down the notice of the orc attacks. Yes, this is what he needed. The brink of survival in mortal combat against an evil enemy. Just the thought of it made his breathing slow down and he could feel his hand returning to normal. He smiled. This Tusk wasn't broken just yet.
Brugo leans in towards Coryn and whispers, "That will be a fine hunt indeed. The Tusk demands that we conquer the evils and show them the hard way. And if we make some coin along the way..." He smiles a tusky smile.

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

Harbin looks you all over nervously. Sildar, on the other hand, is happy to see you all.
He pulls you aside for a moment.
Sildar explains that he is trying to find out where Cragmaw Castle is, in hopes of finding Gundren, but has had no luck so far from the Townmaster. In addition, after questioning several locals, Sildar has learned that his friend Iarno has disappeared while exploring the area around Tresendar Manor, just at the edge of town, about two months ago.
Sildar is concerned for his friend Iarno, his other friend Gundren, and these "Redbrands" the town keep talking about.
SIDE QUEST: FINDING IARNO: Sildar will pay you guys 200gp total if you can find out what happened to Iarno.
SIDE QUEST: FINDING CRAGMAW CASTLE: Sildar will pay you guys 500gp total if you can find Cragmaw Castle, AND the location of the Wave Echo Cave.
If you guys want to interact with the Townmaster, now is a good time.
Coryn winked over at Brugo as the Half-Orc spoke, glad to see that he wasn't the only one that thought some orc slaying could make for a good way to blow off some steam. He then listened to Sildar, nodding his head along as he did so. He smirked, happy that he would be able to put some of his old skills to use on the Town Master.
"Man, Harbin, sounds like you've really let the town go to shit, eh? So what is it, do these Red Brands have you on the payroll, or are you just a coward?" He asked after walking away from Sildar, nonchalantly walking towards Harbin. He hoped that the others would see what he was doing, either helping out or, if they weren't the most vocally inclined, letting him do his own thing.
"The Tusk demands that our leaders be brave, that they stand up for the common folk. Demand that their warriors stand for justice. The Tusk demands this. It is known that you can not run from evil without finally facing it. What are you facing, Harbin?" Brugo chimes in behind Coryn. Walking forward past Sildar and towards the shaken townmaster.

Harbin explains nonchalantly that the Redbrands are "just a mercenary guild, and not all that much trouble, really..."
He quickly dismisses the subject to say that:
SIDE QUEST: ORC TROUBLE: Harbin is looking for people to head east on the Triboar Trail, where travelers have reported trouble with a band of orcs near Wyvern Tor. He will offer 100gp total that would take care of the situation.
"No big deal? From what I understand, your townsfolk are being harassed by them. No wonder I heard rumblings of people looking to overthrow you...." Coryn commented, a look of disgust appearing across his face. This man obviously was trying to sweep this issue under the rug, and the Half-Elf was hoping that the thought of losing his job could fix that.
Wave Echo Cave is the cave the Rockseeker brothers discovered that contains magical properties. They were travelling to Phandalin to set up a base of operations to reopen the cave, but they were ambushed. Any other information would ruin the plot of the game, so that's all that will be mentioned about it from now on. =P
You guys dont know WHERE Wave Echo Cave is because Gundren has the map. And Gundren appears to be taken to Cragmaw Castle.
Hardi will step forward at last and give the good Town Master a friendly smile. "Town Master Harbin, eh? Ya know, Town Master, I use to be part of the City Watch in Neverwinter. I saw some stuff during my time on the force. Heck, it's what brought me to the light of Pelor!" He'll take the opportunity to just sidle up next to Harbin and gradually turn him away from the others. "From what I'm hearin', these Redbrands are not really doin' it for the townsfolk, eh? Now you're a good-n-honorable mayor, yeah? I've seen these 'mercenary' types take advantage or even extort the Mayorship to put the squeeze on the good townsfolk...and you bein' a good Mayor type wouldn't want any displeasure to or revolt to grow in your people, eh? A mar on your governance, ya know? So maybe you're just too nervous to say something, eh? Maybe afraid if someone confronts'em and fails, they'll come calling back to you, yeah? Well lemme put you at ease, sir." At this point, Hardi will produce his old badge from the Neverwinter City Watch. "I've got the experience to deal with these Redbrands. I'm bolstered by the Light of Pelor, and I'm surrounded by a group that I'd say are pretty swell too, ya know? I've trusted'em with my life and I stand in front of you as proof of their grit. Trust us, Town Master Harbin. We'll do right by ya!" Hardi gives a reassuring pat to Harbin's shoulder.
Swayed by your words, Hardi, the Townmaster gives you a faint smile. For a moment, it twists into something sinister, but then softens as your words are true.
(You get inspiration next roll for putting some great thought into that paragraph)
However, the townmaster doesn't have much to say in return, just a nod, and that he must get back to work.
At this particular point in the episode, you can do a side quest, or explore more of the town.

Hardi just returns the nod and turns to his compatriots. "Well that'll do, eh?" He props up his maul over his shoulder and trundles on out. "Let's go, fellas. We've got some heavy liftin' ahead!"
OOC: Woo! Thanks :D
