Northlands Campaign

Once the purpose of the room is discerned Wil moves on to the Northern door.

Roll Perception check for anyone in the main chamber (near the stairs and northern door).

Kina isn't going in the torture chamber. Whatever happened in there, she doesn't want to know about.
She heads back out and into the main chamber, trying to cause as little noise as she can as she clip-clops through, waving her light at anything she thinks might have moved. Tight spaces make her anxious.

Perception: 18

Bart after staring at this amazing blade for some time thanks Wil full heartedly for giving it to him. He then Follows Kina and puts a friendly wing comforting her over the tight space and the horrendous things that may have happened in the torture room " A lady such as your self should not see those horrid things."

Perception check: 9 and history check on the blade: 12

Kina looks over to Bart, making a face at him.
"I would hope my gender has no bearing on that. We should all be repulsed by the practice of torture." she says.
"That said, I don't think it was used recently, at least. Just part of this castle's history. Regardless, the sooner we're out of here and have this place secured, the better."
She lightly bumps him with her butt, slightly playfully.
"Still, thank you for the sentiment. The cruelty that some are capable of is just something I can't understand."

Cade:  You hear voices and footsteps approaching from the northeast door.

You each have 1 round of movement/action to prepare, and roll initiative.

Perception: 11

Barnabus had just come out of the torture room and was approaching the northern door when he hears the sounds from the other side. Quickly he positions himself off to the west side of the door motioning to the others to hide or take up combat positions. He leans his shield up against the wall within easy reach, grasps Fife with both hands. He positions the axe so that his first swing will land with the blunt edge and not the blade hopefully to incapacitate and not kill. He readies himself to strike what ever come through the door first.

Initiative: 17

OCC: if I overstepped him hearing the voices just disregard that part. Barnabus will still take that position and stance should Cade alert him to the danger. 

(OOC:  you are good....20 will definitely alert you, but completely certain that Cade would pass the word as well)

Wil positions himself north of the stairs by where the two cells are looking/covering southeast at the northeast door the guests will come through and then casts Hunter's Mark.

Initiative: 7

OOC: If we are ambushing them, would we have the advantage in our initiative rolls?

(OOC:  You will get 1 free round of action against them, then normal initiative will take over.)

Thanks for the clarification. Was that what you meant in your earlier post?

(OOC:  Yes and no.  You have an action to get ready.  If that action is to prepare an ambush, you will get 1 free move on them.)

Cade initiative: 12

Cade stays in the center of the room, facing the door he heard the sounds coming from. He quickly sends a mental alert to the others, so they can prepare as well.

Kina's initiative: 4

Kina realizes just how futile it would be to try and hide herself. She has an idea. It might not be a good idea, but it's AN idea.
"How about I be bait?" she whispers, "I'll just lay down in the middle of the room like I'm dead. I can take my top off too. So far all these fanatics have been male, surely one of them will be distracted by my bloody udders on display. Their focus will be on me. Might as well use them for something."

"I am not hiding, so you could lay down and make it appear I am attacking you, or we could just stand side-by-side and meet them with hoof and claw..."

Wil snorts and says with a teasing smile, "Kina, if you do that you might just cause Bart to crow uncontrollably and there goes our ambush."

Barnabus lets a snort out as well, "Snnnk....Well lass I don't think you need to go that far but playing dead combined with those corpses and skeletons should be enough of a distraction. Good idea"

Bart's feathers grow even more red than before as he looks to kina and says "by god you are an amazing woman. Lets not dilly dally and teach these guys a lesson. No need to hide or act. I believe in us I believe in you Kina" with that last phrase Bart casts Enhance Ability -- Bears Endurance on Kina (you get advantage on all CON checks and gain 10 temp HP). That will be my prepared action.
