"Hey looks like a bedroom. Why don't you all take a look and I'll stand guard."

"You're asking Bart and Kina to checkout a bedroom? What could go wrong......."

Bart looks to Kina smiling "let's go my dear.". Perception:  17

Bart:  The room is a complete disaster.  The furnishings here are broken and rotting beyond any reasonable use.  There is a door behind the door through which you entered the room that leads to a small 10'x10' chamber containing the remains of an ornate chest.  A brief perusal reveals what look to be scraps of a spell book and several scrolls.  Lastly, your keen eye locates an outline in the south wall of the bedroom that could possibly be another door.

Bart gives the scrolls a closer look. Arcana: 15

And then turns to his party "Hey adventurers I think I may have found another passage"

Cade would look into the door on the opposite end of the chamber with the sparks and trough.

Cade:  The northern door opens onto another bedchamber.  This one is similarly distressed to the southern room, but no other doors are evident.  The furniture is also smashed and rotting and beyond use.

Bart:  They crumble to dust at the slightest touch.

Cade moves to join the others.  “Other room doesn’t appear to ahve any hidden exits, though someone else is welcome to double check for me.”

Hearing that a secret door had been discovered, Barnabus comes over to take a look. "Well lets at least see where it goes." He waits to open it until everyone agrees. If anybody declines he moves back out into the hall and continues down the passage.

“Just as well check it out.” Cade agrees.

"Yep let's check it out. Together" Bart readies his bow just in case.

Seeing everyone readied for action, Barnabus opens the door.

((Sorry about that folks! I had a spinal injection a few days ago and the steroids in my system kind of made me go a little nutso. Not like, crazy deep end but I couldn't sit still and basically cleaned my entire house. I'm still pretty jittery but I should be back to normal tomorrow according to my discharge instructions.))

Behind the secret door, you find a 5' wide hallway that extends 20' and seems to end.

Barnabus cautiously makes his way to the end of the hall.

Bart makes a perception check to see if he hears anything or most importantly feels a draft from the end of the hall. Perception: 16

Bart:  at the end of the hallway, you find what appears to be another hidden door in the left wall.

Bart nods to Barney "Strong men first."

Nodding an acknowledgment, Barnabus proceeds through the no longer secret door.

Behind the second secret door is what appears to be a wizard's workroom, strewn with fragments of parchment and broken flasks and beakers.  There is a fireplace, long cold, and a pair of tables and a single glass-doored bookcase.  The bookcase is intact and you can see several tomes and a small box or chest inside.
