After urging every one inside Barnabus stacks the bodies and searches the room. "Perhaps we should take a short rest here." he suggests. "I want to talk about an idea I've had."

Bart sits next to Cade and offers. " I could sing a healing song if you like friend. Those wounds look like they are mighty painful..." without waiting for a response he starts to hum a soft tune next to Cade and casts Cure Wounds on the big bear healing them for: 6 "It's not much, but I do not wish to see you in pain 'big guy'." He says using his wings to make quotation marks slightly making a joke at the halfling.

"Please do not." Cade interupts with a mental voice. "I will switch back to my own form if we are resting, and take the bear form once we are ready for more combat. Hold your healing for those truly in need, as I am not."
"So here's what I was thinking. We're eliminating the threat of whatever is in these rooms so it doesn't catch us from behind and also so the way is clear if we have to exit back through this way, correct? But what if we are being chased as we exit? We could block off the doors in such a way that as we pass back through here we could open the doors behind us and leave whatever is chasing us to deal with the creatures. Doing this would solve both those problems. One it insures we aren't followed and two it could provide the time we need to escape. Especially if we have survivors in tow. What do you think?" asks Barnabus as he is searching.
Kina nods her agreement. "This chamber in particular seems to be some kind of .... undead barracks or storage area. They serve no other purpose than to contain these things. Plus, we seem forced to come through here; if we need to leave the same way we came, then 'the one' would most certainly use the opportunity to corner us in here by unleashing all the creatures inside. We would have no chance of escape." she reasons, picking up her staff and boomerang. "Gruesome as it is, we have the perfect doorstops all around us." she states.

Cade has taken back his halfling form as everyone pauses here to catch their breath and bind up wounds. He nods to the others. “I say either do as you said, and clear them all out before we move onward, or set it up so we can release them as we wish, during an escape. I’d not wish all of these comin gup on us at once though, so we need to make sure they cannot be let out without a bit of effort.”
“Do we really want to leave things behind us that could cause trouble for us at the worst possible moment? Since we don’t know what’s in the rooms how can we be sure we can block them in?”
Kina looks to one of the bugbear zombies and winces. Taking out her simple survival knife, she carves away at the flesh and then wrenches an arm back and forth before planting a hoof on the extremity and yanking as hard as she can, ripping it from the body entirely. "Grizzly as it is..." she says, trying to use it as an example of what she's about to suggest, she wedges the fingers of the bugbear under the open door to the chamber that held the bugbears and then pushes hard until the arm gets stuck.
She then tries to push the door with the arm in front of it.
"Arms are naturally wedge-shaped, and there are few things with greater friction than flesh. It bunches up and catches... as disgusting as it is, we have more than enough bodies here to make sure these doors never open again, if they all open outwards."

"Well they don't seem to have gotten out so far so I'd say the doors are doing their job and I have no reason to believe they won't continue to do their job. That means somebody will have to let them out. Now I've never heard of anyone just letting their zombies out for a walk. So I doubt they'll be coming up behind us with out any warning. By that I mean we'll have to have been discovered. In that case we'll be dealing with with plenty enough acolytes that we most likely will be retreating above ground. So I do understand the concern about leaving them behind us. However, the only reason to come back through here is as a secondary escape route or as a stealthy way to rescue prisoners. Either way, for these remaining creatures to be a problem for us a person would have to realise this is our escape route, get ahead of us as we're retreating, come down here and open these doors. That puts them between us and a pack of zombies. The odds of all this happening are so low I'm willing to risk it. Now this leads us to what are we gonna do with them. Now I like Kina's idea of wedging the door, if they open inward towards us. We can tie a rope to the wedges and the last person through pulls the rope removing the wedges and releasing the zombies into the path of any pursuit. I was thinking of using the wood from the other doors for the wedges but I suppose arms will work too. If the doors open inward we tie the rope to the latches and set it so again a simple pull of the rope releases the creatures."
Barnabus goes about rigging the last two doors in a way that the doors can easily be opened if needed as the group runs by. As he finishes working he says "we should take a short rest here so we're fresh for what lies ahead."

Wil: in searching the room you find a disguised door in the northeast part of the room. You also note that the zombies have multiple sets of wounds, as if they have killed more than once in the past, although the other wounds seem to be quite old.
Barney: doors open outward into the central chamber, and while they are aging and would not be too difficult to destroy, you are able to get the wedges and triggers set up without issue.
