"I accept your offer, and your name. Call me Bob, at least until something more appropriate becomes evident. As for Iuz, he has a long and decorated history. Or at least he did when I was alive. If you know not the name, then things have changed. He was the leader of lands to the north and dabbled in forbidden magics. Through that dabbling, or a freak accident no one could really say for sure, he was ascended to demigod status. This all happened centuries before I was born, hence his moniker, Iuz The Old, or The Old One. What else would you like to know?"

"Sounds to me like ol' Luz has been lying dormant and consolidating it's power. Was there a part of the temple that was more devoted to it than others? If so that's where we need to go. At the very least we need to locate a way out of this infernal maze." Says Barnabus. "Kina I saw you poking around in a corner. Was there something over there?"
Bob will give you a guided tour of the remainder of the Water Temple. The room opposite his was his second in command's chambers, and the large room to the south the temple proper. All rooms have been completely ransacked and destroyed, nothing of interest remains.
Kina found a concealed door in the north wall of the first room (with the smashed juggernaut and gargoyle remains). Bob will tell you that it leads to the barracks of the Water Temple's troops, now likely to be revivified as zombies or skeletons. The original troops consisted of an ogre captain, bugbears and gnolls.

Kina ponders the information for a moment. "Water temple... can the elemental... whatchamahoozits that this place gathers... the energies... can they still be used? Like, if we secure the water temple, can we somehow use it to say, flood the other sections of the temple?" she asks. "I mostly ask because there's only so much good I can do with punching and at a certain point... there's going to be something I can't solve with fisticuffs." she says. She also offers to carry Bob since she's got more space to do so.

"We had a creature from the water plane in the basin in the temple. By the looks of the place now, it was destroyed when the temple was sacked. Most of our divine power came from Zuggtmoy, and she hasn't been heard from since then either."

"Do we wish to check out this barakes then, or do we wish to move on to one of the other areas?" Cade asks his companions through mind-speach. "I can only stay in this form for a bit longer, so, if we want to fight those undead that are likely in the barakes, it would be a good idea to do that soon."
"Lets leave the dead to their rest. Although a short rest might be in order. Would allow us to be fresh for the next leg of our journey." suggests Barnabus as he un slings his pack in anticipation.
“Aye, a rest is a good idea. Bob, could you tell us some of the history of this place, and what it was originally meant for? I might help us figure out the best chance of defeating The One if it is in fact related to this ancient place.”
Bobmuses, "history of the temple, eh? I guess its story time for rest period then."
In a nutshell: Zuggtmoy founded the temple to honor her beloved fungi ... but had great difficulty drawing followers (sheesh, I wonder why?). Iuz approached Zuggtmoy and proposed the temple honor the destructive power of the natural elements, in exchange for a power share of its followers ... to great success. As the temple grew, it was divided into 5 official factions: Earth, Air, Water, Fire and the central temple, loyal to Zuggtmoy. The temple grew rapidly, perhaps too rapidly, drawing ire from multiple directions, prompting a call to action and eventually raising an army which laid waste to the temple. Zuggtmoy vanished without a trace, Iuz fled.
At some point during the tale, Rachelbecomes annoyed at the continuing whispers from "The One" and comments about a way of making them stop. Bob asks, "what whispers?"

(I just need a couple more days to get my head on straight. Full transparency, I'm waiting to get an MRI on a lump. It's PROBABLY nothing? I'm not really old enough to be really worrying about cancer and I'm overall pretty healthy despite my spinal stenosis, but cancer has wiped out most of my family... so it's better to be extra cautious about this sort of thing (which is also why I've been getting colonoscopies since I turned 30.) and be wrong then figure 'eh, it's nothing to worry about' and really regretting it later.
Why's this keeping me down? I have a pretty severe anxiety disorder as well... like, it's not that I'm sitting in a corner rocking in the fetal position, it's that my BODY will manifest stress symptoms that I can't control, and it makes me feel pretty crappy.))

(No worries, we all have our own stuff (life, work, etc) to deal with at what are usually inconvenient times 🙂🙂🙂. I venture a guess that none of us were tapping our feet impatiently wondering why Kina isn’t posting more often)
"Well it seems to me that if we can find " the old one" or whatever name he's chosen we'll get those pesky voices to stop. But in the mean time maybe you know of a ward against them. Whatever we do I think we should try to find the central temple. Or we go back to the temple of air and see if Bob here can decided those runes for us. If the old one is back and free then possibly they had that door sealed and anything it's afraid of seems like an ally to me. How does that sound everyone?" Says Barnabus as the group finishes their short rest.
"Huh?" Rachelshakes her head trying to clear it. "I'm not sure what to think. I am not getting any guidance from Helm, which is very unusual. It's worth a try though."

(Let me know if I picked the wrong temple. I didn't get a clear understanding of which choice people were agreeing with.)
