Cade looks at Kina. Mentally he says... 'Ask about what her friends and her were doing down here. Why were they down in this area if all of the One's work is upstairs?'
Kina asks Cade's question, but also adds, "And are there any places we should absolutely not go? I mean, we don't want to offend the One by being too curious and overstepping our boundaries, if we are to join the One's army, of course. Speaking of... if the One is so wonderful, what does it need with an army? Who does The One fear so much?"

Emilylooks puzzled for a moment at the audacity that The One would fear anything, but answers, "we were on guard duty here while another group was working its way south to clear out 'the unwanteds' that are here. We've already cleared the areas above us, and are working our way along to clear the rest. But the other group should be back soon. You didn't see them did you?" She pauses for a moment, but doesn't wait for an answer before continuing, "The One wants us to clear out the whole complex in preparation for more disciples to arrive. We have not been told to avoid anywhere though."

"I vote for heading down." Cade says to the others mentally. "Not sure what to do with the halfling there though, as taking them with us is just going to be more work than it is worth likely." He pauses then reconsiders. "Can you tell the halfling we are helping to clear out these chambers as well, and could use her aid in that as we move along?"
The doors in the east, west and south walls appear to have once been decorated with bronze sheets etched with bas relief. Bits of the bronze sheets are still present, but not enough to tell what was depicted. However, the northern door is completely different, as there are runes of glowing blue energy etched into their surface and heavy chains locking the portal. As you approach, you see even the cracks have been sealed with lead or iron.
If you approach the northern doors, make INT save DC 16 or be unable to get closer than 20' away.
(This is the room to which I'm referring though I don't remember what element it was.)
Barnabus rubs his head and scratches his beard in thought. He does his best to describe the room and it's location.
"Just wanted to be sure what was here in case the one wishes it removed."
Emily'sbrow furrows, "I don't know about that one, but it sounds just like the one at the south end of the surface temple, and the one blocking the stairs from the surface to The Light of the One's chamber. Oh! AND the one at the bottom of the stairs down from The Light of The One's chamber. Frankly, they all make me nervous, so I just stay away from them. Everyone else pretty much feels the same way too." She nods as she says the last, like it is a well-known fact.

Emilyshakes her head, "ummmm, there is just to need to go near them, and there are ways to get around them, so ..." She pauses, almost on the verge of tears, "okay, so I just really, REALLY don't want to go near them and don't want to talk about it any more!"
As you head out the north exit from the chamber, the 10' wide hallway extends roughly 40' then angles off to the right. After another 20' or so the hallway again takes a turn to the right but there is a spiral stairway leading up on the left.

Barnabus can hear the disappointment in Cades mental message. "Take heart friend, we'll come back down. We should worry less about what's behind us and get to what's in front of us. May chance we meet this new challenge and by defeating it defeat what was left behind. As for your concerns about securing our rear, there is just as likely a chance that what's in front of us comes down and traps us between them and the foulness that lies below. Not to mention the more we face down here the better the chance we don't make it up there to stop the real threat. So buck up my friend, for we may be about to meet the reason we're here." Barnabus then mounts the spiral stairs his armor clanking and clinking with each step.

"I still want to know what's behind the chained door. See if she knows Kina." Says Barnabus.

"Wait... WHY do they make you nervous? Do you know, or is it just a feeling you get?" she asks Emily.

"Another long hallway." Cade mutters as he walks along at the rear of the group in his bear form.
