Cade sends a mental communication to his companions. "There is blood and the footprints head to that door." His bear head nods to the door in question.
Kina is apparently distracted with navigating around the bodies and avoiding disturbing anything. The dead deserve at least that much dignity, to be left undisturbed.
Heeding Cades mental message the dwarf sniffs and stomps over to the door indicated. Grabbing the latch firmly he opens the door quickly. He jumps into the room and moves to the side clearing the way for the rest to follow.
"Aha!!" He cries out in an attempt to startle whatever resides behind the door.
The mutilated zombies scattered around the room do not seem to be frightened, or moving at all for that matter.
You find yourself in a 20' x 20' barracks, much like the ones from the Water Temple. There are two other doors, one in the south wall and another in the east wall. Fife is now humming steadily, if a bit softly, indicating the door to the east. You get the feeling there is something hostile nearby, but not too serious of a threat.
Roll Perception check.
Perception 17 or higher:
You notice there seem to be more than usual number of zombies in this room, almost twice as many as you would expect residents in this room. Then you notice what you first thought was just a pile of zombies, only the top couple show advanced decay. Under them are bodies only recently deceased.
Perception 13 or higher:
You notice there seem to be more than usual number of zombies in this room, almost twice as many as you would expect residents in this room.
Perception 9 or higher:
There seems to be a lot of corpses here.
Perception less than 8:
After seeing so many dead zombies, you think you're getting used to the smell.

"Aye I could use a bite but Fife be telling me that there's something beyond that door so I'm inclined to check it out first." Says Barnabus as he stalks toward the eastern door. He pauses as he passes the body pile.
'Hey that seems odd. Look we have older zombies on top of newer ones. That doesn't make sense."
Forgetting the door for a moment he pokes at the body pile.
"Say these look the same as what them fellas that tried to nab me were wearin'. Glad to see they got what was coming to them." Snorts the dwarf as he leaves the pile and refocused on the door. Opening it he says, "Maybe we have an ally here after all." Nodding back towards the body pile. " Let's find out" He says as he enters the room.
As you open the door, Fife begins humming louder as a wave a cold sweeps over you. Something moves in the darkness, even darker than the lightless surroundings.
Roll Initiative.

Barney: The fresher corpses bear no signs of having been animated, but rather recently deceased. One is wearing a familiar mask.
