"I say Shooting Star was spot on and Fawn is the surgical slicer. Time to check on the Halfling girl " I walk towards her assuming her to be Misha. I begin singing a halfling tune that she would be familiar with to lift her spirits, or may rouse her from unconsciousness. Once I reach her I am trying to make an assessment as to whether or not the spell healing word would be of use to help her or is she gone.
With Edward tending to the fallen halfling, I encourage Syllin to see if she can help as well while I investigate the basement. I wonder where those centipedes came into the basement? And I wonder what they were after. Maybe just the food supplies that are here, but maybe some of the fine folk upstairs in the tavern have seen these fellas before and can provide some information. I'm a pretty charismatic fella, let's see if I can get some information upstairs.
Fawn and Star do a quick search of the cellar, finding a preserved pig quarter that has been gnawed on by the giant insects. Star also spots a small hole in an out-of-the-way corner where it appears the centipedes had recently burrowed out. You can just fit in it if you crawl... (Squeezing into a Smaller Space: A creature can squeeze through a space that is large enough for a creature one size smaller than it. Thus, a Large creature can squeeze through a passage that's only 5 feet wide. While squeezing through a space, a creature must spend 1 extra foot for every foot it moves there, and it has disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage while it's in the smaller space.)
Misha is unconscious and breathing, but appears to be paralyzed. Edward, make a DC10 Nature check. If you pass, read the following:
You recall that the bite from a giant centipede may paralyze its victim, similar to the venom of a giant spider. The effects should wear off after an hour or so, but any healing would certainly help the girl recover from the actual bite.
(Andy's House Rule: Always re-roll 1's on any Healing roll! Nothing sucks more than this!!)
"Compadres Misha has been bit by our furry friends and is unconscious from their venom. It appears she will recover from the bite and the poison. I am going to use my meager healing skills to see if I can provide her aid."
I cast healing word on Misha Singing wake up little Misha wake up!!!!
Edward's soothing song seems to help Misha - her breathing becomes less labored and the color returns to her skin a little, but she remains unconscious and paralyzed. (Do you leave her on the floor and follow the others, take her up the steps, or call for the staff to come down?)
Fawn looks down the centipede tunnel and, seeing nothing, gets on her hands and knees to crawl down it. Star and Syllin, not ones to be outdone or left behind, follow the ranger into the small tunnel. The burrow slopes downward and makes several twists and turns to go around apparent building foundations or perhaps old stone walls now buried beneath Daggerford. After about 15 to 20 minutes, Fawn can see the tunnel emerging into a larger underground cavern. In the distance you hear the chittering sounds of more insects!
Oh no, I don't really like insects, but it's my responsibility to keep everyone safe. I'm going to crawl deeper into the tunnel and see if I can discover anything.
I carry Misha to the base of the steps and yell, "It is safe down here, someone come and care for Misha. She has been bitten by a poisonous insect. She is stable but unconscious". Time to get with mi' amigos. I enter the hole were my friends entered. SInging:
The tunnel opens into an actual cave, with three stone columns reaching 10 or so feet above you to the ceiling, full of stalactites ranging in length from your finger to almost reaching the floor. The ground is hard rock with some moist areas, but no stalagmites forming. The far side is just within the limits of your darkvision - that's big this place is! Somehow this cavern formed under, or near, to the city.
There are several passages leading out of this cavern, the tunnel you just exited, three other passages big enough for you to fit into, and numerous other water passages and smaller insect tunnels. You can hear the drip…drip…drip of water, and the skittering of more creatures echoing in the distance…and then you see one of the creatures coming around a column 20 feet away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
So, I think to myself, this is what adventuring is all about?!? Battling life-sized creatures who are attempting to do bad things to my "compadres," as Edward calls us!
I'm going to use my sneak attack to try and get this fellow coming towards us before Edward even makes it down here. I shoot with my shortbow:
Pushing Fawn forward into the room, Star slips out of the tunnel and sends a single shaft towards the giant fire beetle, killing it instantly! But even after it drops, the beetle sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet from a pair of glowing glands. (Nice shootin' Tex!)
The whole party crawls out and stands in the large cavern. There are probably other creatures here, perhaps even a nest somewhere...(Decide as a group what you want to do or where to go next.)
As a party we move south towards what appears to be a tunnel at the 3:30 position of the map. as for marching order we will put Fawn, Syllin, Edward then Star.

Saving throw- 17
I made my saving throw, so I'm conscious, but I still need someone to heal me. I would like to help Star Sunflower investigate the 20x20 room.
I heal Fawn with the spell "Cure Wounds."
Fawn is healed this much: 5

Hello! I am going to see if I can fit in the hole, does anyone want to join me? It could be a real adventure!

With Edward helping Misha, I'm following Fawn into the hole! Let's see where this takes us.
Seeing that Misha is being taken care of by Edward, I go to the hole that Fawn and Star Sunflower are preparing to go down.
Edward's soothing song seems to help Misha - her breathing becomes less labored and the color returns to her skin a little, but she remains unconscious and paralyzed. (Do you leave her on the floor and follow the others, take her up the steps, or call for the staff to come down?)

Down in a hole, feelin' so small
Down in a hole, losin' my soul.
I'd like to fly, but my wings have been so denied
