(This is a huge advantage of our group...offline collaboration!!)
Moving through the cavern to the south, you see a flurry of movement around the pillars...3 more centipedes and another fire beetle! They are at least 35 feet away, and partially blocked by the stone columns. (cue combat music!) Click here for the MAP
Round 1: Centipedes (x3) -- Edward -- Syllin -- Fire Beetle -- Fawn -- Star
The centipedes have moved into the cavern, two crawling along the ceiling (black and green) with another on the pillar by the dead fire beetle (yellow). Edward and Syllin are up!
"Great more furry friends!!!!" I stride towards the southern most pillar stopping 15 feet away from the black centipede. I draw my dagger and state "Sorry buddy, you gots to go!" I attack by throwing my dagger of destruction at the centipede. I will use a bonus action to sing a song to inspire Syllin (Bard Inspiration). this allows her to add 1d6 to any ability check attack roll or saving throw in the next 10 minutes.
Syllin enjoyed the song, maybe too much. She obviously didn't know what she was shooting at though and hits the rock pillar! The fire beetle scuttles around the cave and tries to bite Star... Attack: 6 Damage: 0...but the rogue easily sidesteps the insect's attack!
Round 1 (con't): Centipedes (x3) -- Edward -- Syllin -- Fire Beetle -- Fawn -- Star
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I suppose I can deal with these gross insects, though they are quite annoying. Don't you think? Anyways, I am going to shoot the centipede that Syllin was trying to hit.
I rerolled adding my correct numbers (I forgot the attack bonus) which is why I edited it. I did not 'manipulate dice roll results' like it is telling me I did.
(OK - had to move your tokens on the map - in the future, you should have the ability to do that on your own. Also, for Star, using a ranged weapon to attack a creature next to you is done at disadvantage. I'll assume that you used your rapier instead...)
Fawn moves to the south with Edward and Syllin, shooting the black centipede and catching it just right, killing the creature instantly. Star draws his rapier as he dodges the fire beetle's attack, stabbing the insect between its chitinous plates and killing that one. All hail Star Sunflower, the one-hit bug-killer!
Round 2: Centipedes (x2) -- Edward -- Syllin -- Fawn -- Star
The yellowish centipede advances on Star, snapping its mandibles and trying to bite the rogue. Attack: 20 Damage: 5
The green one moves menacingly towards Edward and bites at his calf. Attack: 15 Damage: 5
(If hit, make a DC11 Con save or take 4 poison damage. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you are stabilized, but paralyzed for 1 hour!)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I made my saving throw, I have some hit points left, I'm going to use my rapier to attack the centipede that tried to poison me with his horror-movie looking buck teeth!
Round 2 (con't): Centipedes (x2) -- Edward -- Syllin -- Fawn -- Star
Edward succumbs to the centipede's poison, sinking to the ground! Syllin screams "NO!" and quickly calls upon the power of her god to heal him back to full health! Fawn turns and sends another shaft of death, dropping the centipede by Star! Star sees the insect that had just bitten her drop to the ground with an arrow sticking out of its head, so she moves to dispatch the last one by the rest of the party, again stabbing it through its hard outer shell between it head and body. (Combat over! Well done =) Feel free to add in your own descriptions of your actions, too!)
If you decide to continue on to the southeastern passage:
The tunnel eventually leads to what appears to be a wooden wall. A closer look reveals it's actually a stack of wooden crates. A Strength check (DC 13) is required to move them enough for you to enter the space beyond.
Syllin thanks for healing me. Starshine- sure shot Fawn, thanks for dispatching our furry friends. Dang their bite is no joke. I would have had them if i not had been so concerned with singing a song for Syllin. But an amazing thing happened during the brief moment I was out, I came up with a new song, "Ed-ward is sure, all that glitters is gold, and he's buying a stairway to Heaven..... This is gonna be the one!!!!! And yes let's head to the southeast.
I make a perception check to see if there is anything suspicious about these crates seems odd to me they are just here. if I see nothing odd I state, "Man I am still not over that pain from the furry friends, I am feeling a bit weak, can someone move these crates.
(Chirp chirp...chirp chirp...or are you waiting on me?)
The crates look like standard storage crates you might see in a basement or back room. There are some claw marks on this side as if the giant centipedes tried to burrow through but were unable to get past.

I guess I'll move the crates out of the way to see what's behind them.
