Visions of a glorious grand alliance of the merfolk and Klaus danced through Klaus’s dense skull. The fact remained, however: he needed to leave the room to talk to them.
Eventually a memory of Preceptor Vanion kicking Klaus’s backside while he should have been paying attention comes to Klaus. Finally shaken from his daydream, Klaus turns to the rest of the group and says, “I defer to the rest of you on where we go. I will offer to help train whomever we meet with some of my fighting techniques.”
Gracy nods to Klaus 'You and Hiramat seek out the warriors, see if you can help them pick up some techniques' Looking to the others, Gracy addresses the rest of the party 'I'm thinking we should split up to cover more ground. Archie, perhaps you and Zmeya can find the Shamans to see if there's anything we can do to help them? Wilmot you and I can try to find the commoners?
Zmeya nods at Gracy's words. "I defer to your plans - I'm not particularly skilled in creating them."
If Archie agrees, she will find her way towards the Shamans and have a good reptile-to-reptile conversation. She knew Shamans were powerful and wise - the Yuan-Ti had Shamans of their own, so she treats them with practiced respect.
'I agree, splitting up increases the risks to the party, but I think the risk is worth it to cover the ground we need in the limited time we have available to us.'
Gracy nods to Wilmot and sets out down the westward path, looking into the first opening they come to on the right.
Hiramat responds to Klaus "In addition to the Common tongue I also am fluent in, well, Infernal". He looks slightly ashamed to admit it. "However, if we're going to try to impress upon them our ability to help them train, then I think our actions will be more valuable than our words"
Klaus asks the Queen, "Your majesty, are there any forces here who might speak the Common tongue, Primordial, or Infernal? My associate, Hiramat, and I can communicate in those languages. In any case, if you can direct us to the delegations here."
Klaus: "Delegations will begin in about 24 hours. As far as i'm aware, everyone here speaks Draconic, or broken Common. Most of my forces are illiterate."
Archibald, Zmeya, and Hiramat are in Room 11:
THE THRONE ROOM: Two sets of three pillars flank a central area where two lizardfolk hatchlings are playing. At the far end of the room, a wooden throne stands on a low, stone dais. Carvings of reptiles decorate the throne, and glints of reflected light hint at the presence of inset gemstones. The heads of several creatures hang on the walls, mounted on plaques of wood for display as trophies. The hatchlings, one male and one female, wandered up to you and make cute little noises. They are fearless and quite harmless. They exhibit great curiosity.
Klaus, Wilmot, and Gracy are in Room 10:
THE BANQUET HALL: Five unarmed lizardfolk are preparing this area for a feast, setting tables with wood and stone utensils. Several long wooden tables are placed end to end in the center of the hall, with wooden benches running along each side. At the south end of the tables is a large wooden chair; four slightly smaller chairs flank it, two on each side facing the table. Placed on the tables are earthenware pots, jars, plates and cups, five drinking mugs, and woven baskets. Against the west and east walls are tall wooden cupboards
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Unabashedly, Wilmot will move toward the tables, breathing in the aromas of the feast to see what's on the menu. "Interesting, is that sage or thyme? I'm a fan of good herb."

The merfolk are not in this location.
Archibald thanks Sauriv for his time and moves deep into the lair in search of possible allies to talk to. He will attempt to find the Locatha.

“Sounds like a plan.”
Wilmot shrugs, "Splitting the party, eh? This should end well. Oh great Gygax in the sky, please don't smite us with your anger."

"On big Willy, you worry to much. These are diplomatic talks with highly civilized and evolved lizard and fish folk. What could go wrong?"
Zmeya nods at Gracy's words. "I defer to your plans - I'm not particularly skilled in creating them."

"Hiramat, I speak Primordial, which languages do you speak?" says Klaus. "Maybe we talk to those who understand Common or one of our other languages."
