The flat of the steel blade cracks the man over the head twice in quick succession. Blood begins to trickle from the side of his skull, and his eyes seem glossed over and dazed as he barely holds onto consciousness.

Raising his crossbow, he lets off a bolt towards the still figure which, hearing a muffled grunt of pain as it impacts. With his invisibility now broken he scurries to a nearby tree, hiding behind the thick trunk(you're pretty gods damned sure no one saw you).
Calmaius raises his head, looking bleary-eyed through the blood spilling down his face for an opening. He speaks a quick incantation, and you see him vanish in a puff of mist from the hand's grasp, reappearing 30 feet to the northeast next to one of his guards.
He falls to one knee, holding out his hand to shoot a fire bolt at Sylnora.

You see the guard to the south leap from the ledge, dashing across the road to join the other and Calmaius. He now holds a shortsword in one hand, turning back around to face the party as he edges closer to Calmaius.

His target, now with two bolts sticking out of him, stands to his full height - a full head taller than the other. Beneath his cloak you can make out his bulk, to the point where it's kind of surprising someone so large was able to stay hidden from view.
Still seemingly unaware of Usul's presence, he moves in front of Calmaius, raising a crossbow towards Sylnora with the other. At the last moment, he switches targets to Velyra and fires.

The longsword encounters resistance in the air, the magic shield flaring as it tries to stop the blow. The arcane energies shatter, and the flat of Kal's blade slams into the head of Calmaius. There is a loud crack, and the man's eyes roll back into his head as he collapses to the ground.
One of the cloaked guards dashes towards the knight, slashing twice with his shortsword. You notice an almost oily substance coating the blade as it swings towards you.
