Kal rejoins the others, glancing down at the table. "So this is some kind of temple then? That would make some sense, we're treading hallowed ground right now."
As Usul sets to work on the nearest cabinet lock, he finds it to be a hard lock to crack. Still, with Velyra's guidance and his practiced skills, he feels like it should be doable. As he's on the precipice of breaking through, an arcane spark runs along the length of his pick from the keyhole, jolting his fingers. The sudden shock makes his hands slip, and the pick falls out of the lock onto the floor.
Silthras helps Usul with the locks, but pauses at Kal's comment. "Hallowed you say? Well...that's interesting."
"Undead won't like this place then. How far does it extend?"
He looks around the room as they work on the locks, pondering. "You know -- it's just a thought -- but this place may not be the source of the undead at all."
His attention moves back to the locks for a time before continuing, "It may be the destination...perhaps they are trying to destroy it? That...or maybe they are not really undead...the clawed ones, I mean."

ADV Roll for Usul's Lockpicking: 11
For Kal & Velyra:
Kal had a sense that this whole room was consecrated. This collaborates will Velyra's Detect Magic, which shows an Evocation aura over the entire room.
"As far as I can tell, just this room so far."Kal says, stopping and looking over to Usul as the gnome cries out. "Something stopping you? Like magic?"
"Silthras you may be right. But there could be another way out of here they're taking. Only one way we find out."
Silthras nods at Kals comment, "There are three exits from this room, including the one we came by. Perhaps when we've finished trying all these locks, Dib might explore a little...maybe even look past the collapsed area. What do you think, Usul?"
“We need to find how to get out of here...” Usul says. “Is it possible that this is the end that was closed off deliberately to stop people from reaching here?”
If none of the others move to try and get out, Velyra simply waits for the door to close. Once it's finished, she walks up to the pedestal and speaks the phrase in Celestial once more.
"Words spoken in Celestial to unlock it...hallowed ground...I think you might be right Velyra...a prison, and the undead are trying to free what it contains?"
The stone doors grind to a close. Velyra steps up to them, speaking the same Celestial words as earlier. The pedestal and archway light up, and the doors begin to open inwards again.
"I think this phrase only works on this door, but I'll do my best." From there, Velyra step away from the door into the center of the room, and slowly pronounce the phrase in Celestial a few times to try and teach the others.
"We should probably start looking deeper, try to get a better idea of what this place actually is. If it is a prison, I want to put eyes on what we're dealing with." While waiting on a response, Velyra pulls out the paper with the diagrams and does her best to memorize them all in the short amount of time she has, as well as the corresponding phrases.
As she tries to memorize the words, Silthras rummages in his pack and pulls out a quill, ink and paper. "Perhaps a copy would be a good idea?" he says. laying them on the table and offering them to the priest to use. "I'd hate for us to lose the book and not be able to progress. Since you know the language it's better if you copy it. Perhaps...perhaps make notes on how we should pronounce it, just in case?"
Velyra glances up from the piece of parchment, folding it up and stowing it away. "I don't know if now is really the time and place to sit down and flesh out a copy and a translation guide. I'm certain I've got it down."
DM: How many diagrams does this thing have on it(can Velyra reliably keep it all in her head?), and how long would it take to copy & write out the phrases phonetically in common?
So it's not like an A4 sized piece of paper. It's a large parchment, closer to like, 24x17 inches. And it is filled with diagrams of doorways, archways, pedestals, statues, plates, and pieces of architecture. Some are plain, others are covered in symbols(some you recognize as Celestial and some you don't). Enough to make you think that this ruin should be massive if they're all contained in this location. Unless you sat down and really studied it for some time, I would probably call for a low DC int check to try and recall a random one. Copying them and trying to write out the Celestial phonetically would take upwards of an hour depending on the amount of detail you want to copy.

"Ah, no. That's definitely new to me."
Kal rejoins the others, glancing down at the table. "So this is some kind of temple then? That would make some sense, we're treading hallowed ground right now."
“We can certainly try,” Usul says, happy to attempt to open the locks.

“Ah!” Usul cries out feeling the jolt and stepping back to pick up his picks. “There is something stopping us from our work there!”

As you all stand and discuss, there sound of stone grinding on stone interrupts, as the double doors you came through begin to slowly swing closed...
Kal turns away from the discussion towards the closing doors, raising an eyebrow. "We can open that again, right?"
If none of the others move to try and get out, Velyra simply waits for the door to close. Once it's finished, she walks up to the pedestal and speaks the phrase in Celestial once more.
