Taking a glance around, the knight is pretty sure no one in the area cares about them. Though there aren't very many people to begin with. And those that are in this sort of crossroad area are quickly moving away to their destination.
"It does not. But I can see how you might get that.Tel'n'avae is Elvish. The one you speak is Sylvan." Kaz says, staring off into space at the moment. He's brought back down by Usul, whom he turns to again. "Hit? What do you mean hit? Kidnapping? Murder? Theft?"
"Details are important, do not forget them."
Looking around the area, he takes a quick peak inside the windows. "Looks like no one is home."
He backs off now, turning to look at you all. "Did you all have some plan for this?" He asks, jerking a thumb over his shoulder.
"Mm," Kaz sniffs, thrusting hands into his coat pockets. "That's smart." Taking another look around, he seems to be gravitating away from your group now. "We will talk business some other time. There are things that need attending now." With a wary glance at the symbol carved into the stone, he continues, "If you find something out about this...Get in touch."
Are you implying you want to work together on this? Velyra asks carefully before he leaves, "maybe instead of following you into whatever dungeon you have tucked away, this could be an exercise in trust building?"
Kaz flashes a brief smile, "Perhaps." He says before disappearing down an alleyway he had been slowly inching towards. A moment later his head pops back around the corner. "And be careful. It is possible these people do not know what they serve. But someone in their organization will have some connection. They will be the danger." After a firm nod, his head disappears back around the corner, and you can hear his footsteps slowly receding.

As Kaz walks away, Usul takes the time now to survey their surroundings to see if there are any places from which they could safely, and comfortably, stake-out the building with the mark.
perception 9 - looking for buildings that might have a window facing here. or any other safe perches where they could be out of sight of, while having sight on, the building.
Taking a look around, nothing really screams "stake-out" material to Usul or Silthras. The buildings on this corner all seem to be residential, and they all look like they might be occupied. There's an alley - like the one Kaz went down - between each pair of buildings, and peeking down one you can see they look to lead to a little park area with trees, benches, bushes, and the like.
"Not a bad idea. No harm in warning them at a least."At Silthras suggestion, Kal walks over to the front door of the building. If no one cares to try and stop him, he knocks on the door.
There's a brass knocker on the door as you walk up, and you give the door a few good whacks with it. You listen for footsteps from inside the house...But none come. After a minute you try again, louder this time. Still no one answers the door.
"Or I mean, someone could wait in the alleys and the rest of us could walk around. Or maybe wait in one of the parks. So long as we stick close enough, I can keep us communicating." Sylnora suggests.
"I'd hate to be confused with the thieves in the middle of the night. Best to intrudce ourselves, though convincing them we are telling the truth might be difficult."
Silthras heads down one of the side alleys and admires local park before continuing."Perhaps say we are investigating a missing person related to a series of thefts in the area? Which is exactly what we are doing...."
He turns to Kal, "I'm happy to go with you, if Syl is willing to relay information."
@DM: Is it a small house, or a mansion? Just worried about 5 armed adventurers knocking on doors
"Guess no one is home." Kal mutters, letting his hand fall from the knocker. The idea of waiting around outside all day didn't strike his fancy either. An idea starts to form however. He takes a look around the alley of this particular building, looking to see if there's any windows to see inside.

Kal Perception: 22
There are windows in the alley going along the length of the building. You stop to check inside a few and see dimly lit rooms. One looks empty, and in another everything looks to be covered by sheets. You can't make out much else detail however.
@Eresh: As for size of the house....It's not a small house, but not quite a mansion. Moderately sized, two story.
Kal looks away from the window. "I'm wondering if this might be a vacant house."
"I can get in and get out without having to go through any doors or windows to make sure, but sneaking around like that isn't exactly my strong suit. If the owner is away, we could set up an ambush for our thieves inside."
Silthras tries to guide everyone away from the house and back to one of the parks or alleys, somewhere near the house but a little less exposed.
"Getting us all inside and setting up an ambush might work, but what is our objective? Prevent a robbery, or find their lair?" His eyes settle on Usul, "We might be better served by watching the house and following whoever comes out...though If what Usul's friend said is true, we may not be able to follow them."
He stares in the direction of the house for a time before speaking again. "I think we need to capture one of them. And to do that...I think we need to be hidden inside. Or we could just watch and wait. See what they do and ambush them at the next house..." his words trail off, his expression frustrated. "Unless someone else has an idea...?"

"We don't know enough yet... so were just planning to watch and see what happened, or who went in, first." Usul replies.

Seeing Usul scan the area, Silthras does the same then helps him with a more thorough investigation.

Also help Usul investigate.
