Barthrum nods to his companions, bows to the young lady who lent her the shovel and says, "We'll be back soon."
Then leads them back to the spot of the last fight to check around what has happened to the remains of it.
He asks Dolgrim, "How did you find the first one? Was it just there and you walked into it? Should we be throwing like a rock ahead of us to lure one out?"
Just in case it works he puts the shovel down and throws a sizeable chunk of debris ahead and then listens carefully. (And of course picks up the shovel)
You walk into the temple again, passing through the hallway and reaching the same room where you found the monster the other day. You walk in and the room is empty as you left it. Except for their trails, there are no traces of the monsters, not even of those you've slain the other day.
Suddenly, Barthrum notices an already familiar-looking yellow body on the ceiling of the room, right between all four pillars. Now that he sees it, he has a moment to wonder - how didn't he see it earlier? It's so obvious...
(Btw, it was there the entire time, you just didn't notice it or go close enough for it to attack.)
Thenmer puts down the lamp and in his mind tries to call up the laws of reality he saw in those long days while he was buried alive. He forms them in his mind and by sheer force of will tries to exert them on reality, muttering words and gesturing to try to focus his will.
The lamp leaps up and flies towards the yellow patch
(catapult spell, DC13, I don’t know if the thing is surprised or anything)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Not surprised because it knew you were there. You get the first turn in combat but you don't get an extra turn on round 1 when your initiative comes. From round 2 and on, initiative order as usual.)

The creature tries to move but it doesn't do it on time, instead getting hit by the lamp that is shattered on impact, spraying its oil on the creature and the ceiling. (Also roll damage for the spell.)
Initiative:
Monster: 6
Barthrum: 10
Thenmer: 14
Dolgrim: 12
Conviniently, Thenmer's turn is first and was used to cast the spell, so Barthrum is up!
Dolgrim once again sticks close to the other dwarves, prepared to protect them.
((Ready action to attack any slime that gets too close, I won't be online in the following few hours, so feel free to roll for me, I am using the shield, so use one handed damage))
(Rolling damage for Thenmer (20) and Barthrum (4) because you forgot to...)
The monster slides on the ceiling towards you and detaches from it to make a drop attack on Thenmer. Barthrum tries to interpose his shield between Thenmer and the monster's attack. Attack: 12 Damage: 11 The shield stops the attack and no one is harmed, except the monster which takes 4 damage from the fall! Also, Dolgrim attacks the slimy monster with his hammer! Attack: 8 Damage: 11 The attack hits and many small drops of ooze are splattered around the room. The monster seems severely damaged but is not down yet!
(Sorry about the damage roll, did not know if you wanted to make the save first. I will roll in future)
"Thank you Barthrum"
Seeing the thing up close it was no less frightening than it had been the day before but he had a plan in his mind now, which made it feel better. With the oil soaking it he switched his mind to the element of fire, raising his crystal he evoked the power of fire and sent a blast of it straight at the creature.
(Fire bolt roll to hit 8 Damage 1 and additional 5 damage if it hits and ignites the oil)
Thenmer hits the creature with his fire, which doesn't do much damage to it. That's not all though, because the oil on the ooze catches the flame and burns hot, vaporizing the creature completely.
What is Barthrum looking for? Either way, roll perception. (I will always tell you to roll, whether or not there's a thing you can find, so you don't know if there is or not. It's also why I had you all roll when you searched the hallway the first time, even though no monsters were there.)
Barthrum's quick response to the light allows him to see the entire room, but he cannot see any monsters. Even behind the pillars or behind the altar, he doesn't see any weird shadows that would indicate something is behind them. It seems that no more monsters are in this room.
The dwarf hands you the lamp. "Well, if all it take' to clear the temple is some lamp-oil, I shoulda brought more of it! Ah well, good luck in there."

((scrolls back in the thread:-D))
Aye it was as you say, I just walked into it. I suggest we two go in front and protect Thenmer, his fire seems to be quite effective.
Thenmer is worried, they had a lot more confidence in his magic than he did.
He followed behind them, hoping against all logic that their assessment was more accurate than his.
(Damn your perceptions are really low...)

Barthrum stops and backs off a bit, holding his arms out on both sides to guide the other two back as well.
He points and whispers, "Up there. Lets pelt it from range and see how we fare. What do you think?"

Barthrum says, "Awesome! Lets back off a bit."
He picks up a rock and throws it at the creature: 20 to hit (+2 or +5 depending if DEX or STR).

Barthrum can see what Thenmer is about to do, so he turns away and uses the sudden burst of light to look around the room.
He also says, "This went MUCH better than the first one."

"Well the oil went better than I expected. Its a shame that is all I had for there should be another of these things"
He also looks around but not in much hope of seeing anything, he rarely did notice much.
"Where should we look next?"
Barthrum says, "There" as he points to the nearest exit. "We have to clear all of it anyways for them to really be safe."
“Very well”
Having used the lamp he picks up a suitable piece of rubble for his spell and followed a few paces behind
