Frilvoril would notice that when Pocket returns to Cami and she explains to the party about the ooze, it starts to move around more. Come to think of it, the more speaking that is going on, the more it is moving around. You can see that it is slowly starting to approach the surface of the water.

Frilvoril upon seeing that this is an actual creature is a bit surprised, but reacts quickly and staying ten feet up from the water, he shoots two arrows and the ooze as it surfaces. He then quickly flies back to the entrance tunnel and turning to his party he says, "Hey... Maybe we can just stay this far away and pelt it with magic and arrows. It doesn't look to be very fast and I'm sure we could kill it by the time it approaches us."
I think those long bow shots are going to happen before initiative which I will explain and process when I’m back at my computer but you guys may as well get the initiative rolls done in meantime
I’m thinking the two shots are good to go before initiative but maybe not moving back to the tunnel entrance
(OOC: That sounds fine... Looking at it's stat block, it has something like 5HP left... So if we just beat it in initiative, then we can probably kill it before it goes with an AC of 8...)

Frilvoril, both of your arrows slice through the air at blistering speed and rip through the ooze. The arrows really tear at the thing, and it takes all of the damage as it first shrivels from what seems like pain and then starts to bursts forth from the water in a big blob-like shape.

Round 1: Frilvoril, Cami, Korba, Ooze
Frilvoril and Cami can have at it! Then Korba you can slot in your turn if still needed.
The arrows streak through the air, slice the water and penetrate the ooze once again. They rip it apart and the thing doesn't even get a chance to surface completely. It is now floating in the water, slowly fading in color, dead.
Seeing the ooze in the water turn even more ooze like, Korba nods, realizing that those he was sent down with seem like they might actually be useful. Getting a feel for the weight of the sword, even if he doesn’t yet feel a connection with it, he says “I’m going to get a shield.” He then walks back to the room where all the shields were on the wall and tries to find one that is slightly less rusty than the others. Once in the corridor towards the entrance he also decides to test this so called ‘curse’ and tomahawk throws the sword down the corridor. Curious to see how far it will fly before returning to his hand. He then returns to the group while they continue their investigation of the murky water.

Korba, you return to the starting room and grab one of the many shields on the wall. Once you touch it, it breaks apart, along with all of the others in a dusty mess. Once the dust clears, you see a message written in blood on the now bare wall, in Elvish, which you of course can comprehend.
Beyond the pillar forest, the Mad Mage waits.
Casting spells behind magic gates.
While in the room, after all of the shields have crumbled away, you notice something on the ground. 13 It is a metal urn with an engraving of a warrior with a sword on the side of it, and it contains ash.
Lastly, when you throw the sword, it doesn't even leave your hand. You might even try to pry your fingers with your other hand, which you kind of are able to do, but once you pry the fingers and drop the sword, it immediately flies back up.

Coughing, Korba reads the wall and ponders for a second. Looking to the urn, he does a silent salute and brushes some of the fallen dust off of it. Walking back, he cleans the dust from himself as well, and stops just outside the tunnel where his companions are. There he leans against the wall waiting and listening ((9)) to the sounds of the Dark.
Releasing the tension on his bow string, Frilvoril descends to the entrance of the tunnel and turns to Cami. "I don't suppose you want to go in the water and look inside... I'd prefer not to be underwater, it ruffles the feathers," he says as he gestures to his wings. "There might be a hidden door or treasure around the statue," he suggests hopefully.

"I... Huh..." Cami seems quite hesitant by the way she speaks. She takes a few seconds to decide. "Okay. I'll do it. I'll just drop a few of my things here..." Cami grabs her Bag of Holding and starts packing things inside, most of them are things she's wearing, specifically her leather coat and every single trinket attached to it. Then, she drops the bag at the entrance, along with her backpack.
She then walks inside, wearing only the most basic of her clothes and the armor that protected her. She goes to the area around the statue and starts investigating it.

Korba, you don't hear anything out of the ordinary while you wait other than the normal white dungeon-noise that has always been in the background.
Cami takes Frilvoril's advice and heads over to the area around the statue. There seems to be nothing else in the water. Cami, with that roll, I'd say you get curious and finish unscrewing the statue's head. It would reveal a hidden, charred compartment in the statue’s neck. The compartment contains melted wax from candles that were used to illuminate the statue’s head like a jack-o’-lantern. It also contains a small cloth pouch, with a handful of various small stones within. You take a quick peek inside, and can see five 9 whiteish-grey colored gemstones.
Frilvoril calls down to Cami as she finishes searching, "Hey... Thanks for taking one for the team. I'm going to head back up, join us when you are cleaned up." Frilvoril then flies back up out of the tunnel and into the hallway stopping when he sees Korba and asks, "Any ideas on where we should head next?"

Korba gestures broadly inside the cave with his sword in response. “Any direction is likely as good as another. We should probably let her owl scout ahead.” He replies to Frilvoril. “What brings you down here anyway? Treasure and glory?”
"Just out to keep the city safe, wouldn't want the things down here to get there way out and into the city..." Frilvoril says as they wait. "What about you? Summoning and dismissing weapons out of thin air doesn't seem like a skill you could pick up on a sidestreet in Waterdeep... What brings you down here?"

Waving the sword around a bit more, with clearly practiced movements, Korba replies “I feel a... calling... to ancient weapons such as this. I also miss the Dark” Opening his hand to let it drop, where it clearly doesn’t, he then adds “Though this one may take some breaking in...”

Cami doesn't bring her tools at first, but, being curious about the statue's screws, she asks Pocket to carry her Bag of Holding above the water and back to her. Without letting anything touch the water, Cami gets her thieves' tools and removes the head of the statue to look at what's inside. She finds and takes the five gemstones, which are put back on the Bag of Holding, along with the tools, and carried back to land by Pocket.
She does not put the statue's head back. Quickly, she's back on land, trying to squeeze a few off her clothes to remove the water, but she wouldn't be able to get a proper cleaning while inside the dungeon, so she just takes her bag and backpack. "No big discovery here. Just a few gemstones. I'm hoping it was worth it." Cami there tries to identify the gemstones for their name and price.
