Sulskan nods although arcane symbols are definitely not his strong suit. He stands back and asks, "Do you think we should drag the body back to town so that we could show it to a priest or something?"

"Back to town? Probably, but maybe not into the town. I don't think we should attract too much attention to ourselves. Not before we find out if someone really did cause this to happen. I don't know about you all, but I really don't want to become an ape. When people see me as a devil, they may fear me, at least. Being an ape would only make me a laughing stock."
Slurb walks over, and sees the monster dead. "I heard you guys talking about lycanthropy, and if this may be a form of it? I can check, if you want. Not that I really have any knowledge on it, I just want to be helpful."

Jack follows the group through the trees and to the corpse.
"I don't think this is done until we find out just how this fella came to be. He's not a threat, at least, he can't hurt anyone else, but I agree, someone else could be made into whatever this is... We need to find the source. We can't just turn around and go home. There's more to this than a lost farmer."
Vadania stands up again. Gripping her axe tightly, she says, "Let me take charge. Let's see if there is anything within the cabin." She will walk towards the cabin where the creature was, she will peek inside through the hole in the wall.
Sulskan follows Vadania to the house, but instead of peeking inside, he starts walking around to see if there are any other features observable from the outside (windows, other doors, etc.).

Slurb examines the body, but can't really make any connections to his previous experience. It for sure doesn't look like Vadania, though he suddenly remembers something as he looks through it's various wounds. The creature's taken a huge beating; axe and claw slashes, blunt force hits, yet it had seemed to be most averse to Slurb's ghostly hand, which comparatively did not do much to hurt it.
Vadania peeks in through the hole and sees the ruined remains of a laboratory. Shattered beaks and flasks cover the ground in glass, evidently the result of the creature's rampage inside. There are two operating tables smeared with dried blood, three counting the one the creature used as a shield. One of them have the remains of broken chains, while the other seems to have tufts of fur stuck to it's surface.
In the corner of the room stands a metal safe. Vadania can see the same gold arcane sigil on it as was on the cabin's front door.
Sulskan would note that the cabin has only one door and no windows at all. The peculiar design of the structure makes more sense considering it's prior inhabitant.
The hut close by remains unexplored. What does the party do next?

Sulskan heads around to the front of the building again, letting the others know of its peculiar structure. Seeing that Vadania is handling the cabin, he heads over and performs the same inspection on the hut.

Limine goes and opens the hut's door. If anyone tries to stop or warn her, she'll just say: "If someone were here, they'd make their appearance by now, wouldn't they?"
Vadania slowly and carefully enters the lab. Her thick werewolf skin combined with the cloth wrappings she uses to cover her feet provide around the same protection as normal boots worn by adventurers. Still, she remains cautious of the glass. She looks at the scene before her. She scratches the back of her head, realizing she has no idea what any of this means. (Low INT, higher WIS). She decides to step outside again though she keeps an eye on Slurb in case something comes out of the safe. She steps outside with the weapon ready to aid her party in case they need her.
Readying a Dash action so if any enemy shows up from anywhere, I can run to them as a reaction.
Sulskan notes the small hut to be of a far different construction. It appears to be older than the adjacent cabin, and is much more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. A few shuttered windows would provide it's occupants a scenic view of the forest glade, and the moss covered logs and arched doorway gives it a certain homely feeling.
Limine goes to open the hut's door, but finds it locked. There's no chains nor golden sigil, but simply a padlock on the door.

If no one steps forward to offer to pick the locks, Vadania approaches the group investigating the locked door. She looks up at the door itself.
What is it made of? Also how is it locked? Like is it a doorknob type affair? A big deadbolt with a padlock? Chains wrapped around metal loops?
