See Post 308 for all details but here's the important excerpt:
"He agreed to part with the mine for 500 gp up front and an additional 2,000 gp to be paid out within a month of the mine's reopening (not a bad deal considering he let slip that he had invested close to 5,000 gp in getting the mine up and running in the first place). He agreed that the both the upfront and later sums could be paid for at the Borgstrand village clerk's office when the formal deed was signed over and that he would even wait to finalize any details until the party has a chance to assess the mine's condition and whether or not they can really clear out the buzzjewels. If the party decides to go through with the purchase, he will be coming to town in five days and will be staying for a tenday - he could sign the documents and accept payment at anytime while in town."
As it seems the majority of the party is onboard with purchasing, Karst Fultane wishes to know if the you want to take any steps toward assessing your ability to clear the mine before making the 500 gp down-payment?
Griffen not only locates a traveling merchant who is eager to sell the last of his goods and return to warmer regions, but manages to talk said merchant into a large discount. Though the merchant explains that healing potions typically cost 25 gp to create (and often retail for around 50 gp), Griffen plays on the man's desperation to leave the cold, pointing out that, if he were willing to take a loss on his remaining stock, he could probably leave much sooner - and, with time being money, is a 5 gp loss per potion really so bad when compared with several more weeks spent hawking wares in freezing temperatures? Finally agreeing with Griffen's point, the merchant will sell any of his 8 remaining healing potions for 20 gp each.
With the Trolls cleared out and the polar bear fled, the upper level of the mine is now safe (at least for the time being). The party may continue to the lower part of the mine, take a rest (either short or long), or determine some other action.
The party proceeds to the old elevator shaft in the rear of the mine's upper level. Once a marvel of dwarven ingenuity, the elevator’s gears and cables have turned to rust. A glance is enough to assure you that, without the services of an expert craftsman and suitable tools, no amount of tinkering will get the device operational. Though the elevator's platform is currently on this level, the 100-foot-deep shaft into which it once descended is easily accessible at the platform’s rear. Anyone may attempt to climb down the shaft with a Strength (Athletics) check. However, if any member of the party has climbing gear, you may use it to make the process easier and safer.
Griffen grudgingly agrees.
Caldath agrees.
[OOG] What is the price of the mine again?

Warren has no strong impulse one way or the other in this matter, but he will agree with the group to buy the mine.

Griffen suggests we take that offer.
He let's slip that he has some pearl fragments that may be useful.
Warren is willing to part with 100gp to make the down payment.

Wick is willing to put down 100 gp for the mine and will pay 40 gp for two healing potions
Grigor will likewise purchase two of the healing potions.
As stated before, Warren will put down 100gp for the mine and will also pay 40gp for 2 potions.

WHAT WILL THE PARTY DO?
Raja is in favor of continuing on.
Wick agrees on moving on into the mine.
Warren also agrees to move forward.
Griffen is curious as to what is happening in the mine.

Grigor has 50 feet of rope that he will lend to the task.
Wick attempts to climb down the shaft: 18
