Name(s): Ylnira Kutla Race: Changeling Class: Monk Subclass: Way of Mercy Party Role: A good amount of Tank, with some Healing capabilities. Alignment: Neutral Good Sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/PlumPie/characters/42640709 Backstory:
Ylnira spent most of her insouciant, carefree youth amidst the nomadic Changeling tribes that populate the undiscovered lands of the Swords Coast, taking little heed of the plights and struggles that might otherwise be evident in a travelling lifestyle. Delegating the small, curved shape of the group’s caravan she spent hours whimsically staring at the vast wilderness as her home, she knew little about the world she occupies - of course, being the youngest in a small band of travelers, she almost needed to find ways to entertain herself. Using her body as an easel, she playfully spent hours honing her abilities, disguising herself among the deep colors of oak trees, splashing bright blotches of the meadowlands, and inscribing two-dimensional depictions of the endless flowers she encountered on her journeys. The first occasion where she remembered her band of a dozen or so travelers making their way to civilization was of a small oceanside fishing village to the West. It was the first time she had seen the sea. Not quite understanding why her companions had suddenly donned appearances she had never seen before they made it to the walls of the settlement, she was instructed to stay calm and inside the caravan and to assume the form of a Halfling child.
After glancing around, in an act of childlike rebellion, she flit away from the caravan and made her way to the beach. She entered the water, unaware of the danger it presented. At this moment, the tides seemingly changed - the lakes she had previously encountered were nothing compared to the turbulent water of the ocean. Struggling to stay afloat, she was pulled further and further from the shore. Her last gasp of air and glance at the faraway town was of fear, for the first time, feeling truly lost in the expanse of nature. The sense of being alone was overwhelming, and she dipped below the surface. Ylnira awoke on different, more rocky shore. After wandering for several days, under some stroke of luck, she found a road that led to a small settlement. She took refuge at a monastery run and organized by a Monk of Mercy. Seeking to follow a way of life, she enlisted in the monastery's training programs, becoming a wanderer of the order, seeking to mend wounds when able, and to bring justice and mercy when unable.
I've always wanted to play PotA. So cool. Also, I rolled 3 stats below 10, but I'm not even mad. Haha. Kinda fits the character I'm going for, honestly. :)
Since no new applications have come forward in two hours, I am ending applications now. I will carefully sort through and make my decision. Those who are chosen will know before midnight my time. Which is in roughly 8 hours.
I guess that's the hint that I'm not playing in this one.
I think the fact recruiting ended about 8 hours ago was ;p
Anyways, Sending out the invites to those who were chosen as soon as this post is done.
To all those who didn't get chosen, I enjoyed reading your characters backstories and saw quite a few that especially piqued my interest. Unfortunately, some of the people didn't reply to the questions, so I had to pass to the next best -similar- option. This is the worst part about DMing when recruiting is knowing a lot of people will be disappointed, but sadly that's how life goes.
On the other end of that, you've already made characters here, which means you already have a template to copy/paste into another recruitment thread! Though I'd suggest doing so from the edit option, so it will auto reroll your stats there.
Also perhaps some of you can try your hand at Dming. It's not as hard as most people believe, especially in the PBP format, since you have 'time' to read and look things up that a face to face doesn't provide. And there is a massive supply of players with very few DM's. Maybe this is a chance for you to take that dip! Just like asking someone you like out, DMing is one of those things you just have to do, or you will never feel 'ready!'
Original Post has been edited, 5 more hours until recruitment ends. And as I said, please no more PMing characters, lol

I have sent a few question PM's to a few people to clarify their intended role since its not 100% for certain I have ascertained their intent.
Regardless in no more than 3 hours, and 20 minutes, I will be sending out the invites regardless of whether responses have been received.
