Moving to one of the weak mothers, Duncan helps her stand (or carries her if necessary) towards the house. As he leaves, he says, “We did our best given the circumstances.”

After all is said and done you find yourselves with the saddle bags of holding, weapons and other treasures you found and 7000gp to divide amongst yourselves. The rest of the gold goes back to the cities that were pillaged. Also, the book you guys found Beyond the Iron Gates has been taken, evidence of the Cult of the Dragon's nefarious intentions. After a brief questioning, you guys are outside of the council of Waterdeep.
During the meeting, A loud deep noted horn is sounded somewhere, not from here, you can tell. But it sounds like its from everywhere.
(You have had time, inbetween this and present to spend your share of the 7000gp, so go ahead.)
Duncan presents Hazirawn as part of the evidence of the Cult’s activities, reasoning that the sentient evil greatsword likely has highly detailed knowledge about decades’ worth of cult activities…Of course, giving up such a legendary magic item means that the party should be compensated in some way—perhaps getting some useful magic items in return?

(So, how much GP are we supposed to have, roughly? My character has about 10k on the sheet but I think I must entered that when we emptied the treasure chamber and were carrying it off. So 1/5 of 7000? 1400 each?)
If he has time to go shopping prior to the council meeting or next events, Gryrig will looks for a brand new and suitable outfit. By suitable, Gryrig means something flamboyant and attention-grabbing but also reasonably practicable and hard-wearing. So, something like garish adventurers robes with embroidery, silk, maybe some gold and silver thread. However, he is not entirely without common sense and will go for a stylish dark blue hue, so as to enable him to blend into the shadows when it becomes necessary to do escape e.g. from a guard or someone he owes money.
Oh, and Gryrig might look for a new instrument. Maybe a shiny new Lute, to better play his tunes on. If he can find a store which might sell him a magical one, great. If not he'll happily buy a new regular one too
(Whatever the price is, Duncan will split it with the others. Hopefully since it is Legendary we will get enough for several people to buy very rare or rare items)

Azzure will look to rest and switch up his spells. He will sell his chain mail armor. He is curious if there are any magical items to peruse. Specifically looking for any necklace of prayer beads or boots of elvenkind. After that, he would stock up on a couple of potions of greater healing, some rations. Preparing himself for the next leg of their journey.

Gryrig honestly thinks that Duncan should keep the sword. It has proven itself a very useful and powerful item. And it will help the group on whatever comes next. Plus, every heroic tale is enhanced by a sword. Also, and rather selfishly, Gryrig thinks it's a very good thing to have a powerful and well equipped melee fighter for the front line - so that he himself can stay in the back
(OOC. I think you should keep the sword. There will be other powerful items later for other party members. The council didn't ask for it and isn't offering a great reward, so they obviously don't actually want it)
(OOC: if it were not an intelligent evil weapon, Duncan would keep it. As it is, the good-aligned character (Duncan) being attuned to the evil weapon could cause some real problems down the line…)

(Out of earshot of Hazirawn), Duncan responds to Torman and says, “Yes, maybe both. That ‘Voice of the Dragon’ cultist leader had Hazirawn for who knows how long—the council will hopefully get a treasure trove of information about the cult out of it. Then hopefully they can purge or suppress the evil from it and put it to good use, or maybe they will have to destroy it.”

After passing out the coinage to his companions, Duncan realizes that the better magic weapons are right at the edge of his budget. When Azzure makes his offer, Duncan seems inclined to take him up on it.
I only have 13 gp on Duncan's sheet. With the 11,400 gp, he is 3000 gp short of what he would really like to buy, and he has a weapon of warning (a flail) that he needs to give away if anyone wants it. With that extra, he can afford a +2 weapon and some other cool more minor items. Anybody up to help him out?

Kat nods and will take one of the babies, allowing her Gryrig and others to gallantly step in to help the young mothers.

You'll have1400gp each in your gold except what you already earned beyond the 10,000 that was in the saddlebags
You're offered half of what Hazirawn is worth by the council. I'll get back to you on the price.

At the suggestion of selling the sword, Torman looks shocked.
"It is evil, and powerful. Should it not be destroyed, or used for a good cause?"

Purchased a cloak of protection, a amulet of the devout, and some boots of elvenkind with his share of the gold. I have some leftover if anyone needs more gold for a purchase.
