Gryrig: "Looks like this could have been Maccath's ship. If that's true, then I would guess that the mark on the map is where she was headed - before being captured by those things, and probably held there as I cant image where else in this desolate icy waste you could keep prisoners.
So whatever that mark indicates, I think we should approve with caution. Perhaps flying the last part of the way under the cover of night. If it's a some sort of fortress where she is imprisoned, it would be a good idea to get the element of surprise."
"If we mean to go under cover of night, does that mean you want to go now now?", Kat muses.
((GM, how many hours of dark are we dealing with? Are we far enough towards a pole that we'd end up with very long or short nights, or does it not work like that here? Also, my semester wrapped up, so I should be in a better position to be a more attentive player. Apologies.))

Gryrig thinks about this for a moment before saying.
"You know, you're right. 'The heroes snuck in under the cover of darkness.' doesn't play well, does it. Whereas 'The heroes coming out of the blazing dawn to save the day', now that's got a heroic ring to it. You're quite right. Makes for a much better verse than sneaking in at night. That'll go down much better with the audience. Let's go in the morning!"

Torman snorts. "The heroes survived always plays well!"
"Besides since when did you songs start to resemble any known facts?"
Gryrig struggles to see what Torman means with this concern about 'truth' and 'facts', but isn't at all offended.
"It's a poetic ballad. Why would it need facts? The truth is rarely poetic enough to make a memorable song. Songs are a form of art and should correct bend the facts to what entertains and what the story should be.
Perfectly normal for artists.
Have you ever seen a portrait that doesn't skip over at least a few wrinkles and warts? Or a heroic tale where the hero spends a few weeks doing nothing and waiting for the right time? Or a statue that doesn't make the torso look a lot more slim and muscled than the subject?
And remember, the flattering description extend to you too. Or do you not want the audience to think of you as a mighty wizard of grand statue and knowledge?"
Torman laughs, "On the contrary, my friend, I am more than happy to sneak in and attack them unawares under the cover of darkness, and fully expect that your song will recount our brave and foolhardy frontal assault!"
You guys get a long rest on the ship, in a tiny hut, you wake up to the sound of the wind, and brisk cold, as the hut disappears. And the group does what? Now.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kat gives an involuntary shiver before snugging her warm clothes around her and packing up her belongings, making sure that all her weapons are in order.
As the others get around, she'll mount up on her broom and circle up above the ship, looking around the vicinity, as well as in the direction they intend to travel.
Perception (19 Passive): 22

Azzure nods, saying “Agreed” to Duncan, “Let’s make our way to the location in the morning.”

Duncan:
"Quite a unique dagger," says Duncan. "Does anyone want this dagger--it looks like a Dragon's tooth."
(If no one else wants it, Duncan will ask if anyone can identify it).

If the boat has been searched Torman is more than happy to re-establish their safe haven and pore over his spell books before he settles down to rest.

Azzure definitely casts Leomund’s Tiny Hut - - long rest it is.

Gryrig slowly gets up from his bedroll, stretches, and gathers his stuff. He then says "Alright. Let's head to 'x marks the spot' on the map then!"
