As Kat makes ready to investigate Torman comes scurrying up, breathless. He had been too engrossed trying to think of ways to further in his own investigations to the east to realize that they had left.
"More paths in are always useful," he says.
(( Sorry, I thought we were still back up in the NE area! ))
Kat, notes the wall is the same as the first "secret door" But this time a large boulder blocks her way. She notes scrape marks on the floor in a circler motion.
Duncan gets the boulder moving but it starts clicking, sounding like the mechanism almost breaks. Torman finds a rock in the wall and pushes it. The boulder slides over with an opening only about five foot as a result. The smell of death, decay is added to the stench of the mud.
Humanoid figures some missing arms, silhouetted by the black and grey, darkness of the cavern. The vertical lines of bars maybe 30ft behind, shamble into the passageway "Hello" each states and repeats "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" in a weak raspy voice, others in the line simply moan. Azzure thinks, that something isn't quite right. "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" "Hello"
(I don't know why you say goodbye, I say "Hello" "Hello" "Hello")
Gryrig is a bit worried by this new development and wondering if this really is the best way to go. This seems like a cleric/magic kind of problem, so he bravely takes a few steps backwards to stand behind the others and letting them have a closer look.
“I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello…”. Azzure steps forward and looks through the gloom with his eyes of night, hopefully seeing what he is hearing and smelling. He holds upright his holy symbol, a gauntlet with an eye in the middle of it, saying “Begone you lost souls, back to the ground where you belong. Bones, stay still! Rotten flesh fall! Begone I say!”
(Azzure turns undead, DC 16 wisdom saving throw to resist. Any undead with CR of 1 or less is destroyed if it fails its save.)
“Close the door, I fear this way is wrong, when I clear the opening, perhaps we shove this closed.” He readies his mace of disruption after this has been done.
Stepping in with Azzure to back him up, Duncan says, “I think I see bars in the background—could this be a secure location for the prisoners, guarded by these undead? Unlikely, I am sure, but perhaps possible?”

She'll see if she can puzzle out any sort of opening mechanism, but if she fails to do so, you'll grab Gryrig and have him take a look.

"Yeah, I think you're right. Just plain rock. Why are you guys trying to get through this way. Clearly a dead end."

Torman stares at the rock. If his dense companions assert something with such vehemence, it is a sure sign that they must be wrong.
