The upstairs led to a well kept hall way. Right next to the stairs was the master bedroom at the back end of the hallway, to the party's right as they came up the stairs. The hallway stretched forward on their left. There were two sets of doors on either side of the hallway, making 5 total doors with the master bedroom.
((Just now noticed. Had a brain fart and didn't explain what the master bedroom looks like. Sorry.))
The master bedroom has less furniture to make the room... have more room. There is a window on right but it is covered by dark purple curtains. A purple square carpet is in the middle of the room. Pushed up against the middle of the far wall is a double bed. It is Halfling sized and thus, also Kobold sized. The bed seems soft and fluffy. It has purple bed sheets and a blanket on it. It seems the bed hasn't been slept in for at least a day. No one definitely slept in this bed last night. Next to the bed is a small beside table with a lamp on it. On the left wall is walk-in closet. The door you pushed open to enter the bedroom is close to the left wall. On the right side of the door on the back wall is an expensive and fashionable curtains covering the whole wall. Usually this kind of curtain is used to cover a wall if the wall has paintings on them. This is to shield them from dust and grime. In the middle of the room, attached to ceiling is a small silver chandelier. Because of the curtains being drawn, the room is quite dark though that is not really a problem for Kobolds.
Varn enters the room, looking around. "This one was rich," he concludes. He walks over to the bed and touches it. He then falls on the bed, enjoying its fluffiness. "And he knew comfort, I can tell. Definitely not a big, mean monster." He looks back to the others, waiting to see what they'll do now since he didn't really know where might a monster be.
Sniv just wanders into the room after Varn and steps past the bed to the window. He sweeps open the curtains and looks outside. As he looks he responds to Varn, "How does the person tell us anything about the monster? We don't even know that the two are related, right?"

With light rustling, the curtains slide apart. Only the thick impenetrable grey of the fog is present on the other side of the glass window. It blocks all vision outside as if this is all some cruel joke of a cruel god. Still the room lights up, albeit slightly, from what little light there is outside...

"It tells me that his head won't be worth much... if we meet him." Varn states simply, not sure what relation could be between the monsters and the residents of a house.
A creeping realization slowly dawns on Varn. Between the fights, and the searches and the traveling from building to building, the group has been out and about for quite some time now. Yet there has been no change in lighting. Even in the thickest fog, the natural daylight should have noticeable change as the sun moves from the eastern sky towards the western sky, being overhead during the midday. By all accounts the dim light outside, even with the thickest fog anyone has ever seen, should have shifted... but it hasn't. It's as if time itself has stopped but that is impossible as the party can move and interact with things as they go from house to house.
"Say, don't you find it strange how the fog looks the same since the morning? I mean, obviously, the fog is strange, but more importantly, shouldn't the sun's light that manages to pass through it have gotten brighter, then dimmer, and changed direction, since this morning? It has been a few hours at least. It must have been." All in all, not something you'd expect Varn to notice, but lying there on the bed made him wonder when night will come, and then, how come it isn't getting darker?
Sniv thinks for a second and quickly agrees with Varn, "You are right... That is strange. I wonder if it means that time isn't actually passing here. Could this be some kind of different world that we were accidentally sent to? If that was the case, it would give us much more time to collect our trophy before our opponent returns home."

"Alright. Let's continue searching this building for a scary monster, then get out of this creepy town." Varn has to try extra hard to peel himself off the bed, but it seems like it's pulling him in. "On second thought, why don't we take a short nap first? Doesn't have to be long, but I think we deserve a moment to relax." Varn offers.
(In other words, Varn is offering a short rest, if not a long one.)
"That's not a bad idea. We could use the time to ponder what's going on here."Komos says, and is happy to sit around for an hour and discuss this crazy situation with his friends.
"A short discussion doesn't seem like a bad idea." Sniv chimes in. "Continuing blindly is starting to seem less and less appealing." Plopping down on the bed next to Varn, Sniv says, "We have a lot of theories... Do we have any way of testing any of them? Is there any way that we could learn whether or not time is actually passing here?"

As a short nap turns into full sleep, Varn allows himself to sink deep into the comfortable sheets and into a good slumber - a moment of escape from this strange town, maybe.
Varn and Komos sleep peacefully. When they wake up, a few things they notice: The fog is still there but now it's dark out. It's like the sun set and it became night in the span of a few hours. Next, Sniv is gone...
No... that's not right. Sniv was never there to begin with. It was always just you two. Sniv never left for Neverwinter with you.
((The XP Sniv had gained and the item he found has been split evenly between Komos and Varn))
Both get 1974 XP Each get 6 Coins. (those weird ones that are creepy and warm)
The house is dark now and you feel a strange sense of dread while in here. Yet there is no one. You do see that there is light coming from under the closed door to the room you slept in.

"Start with the nearest one?" Varn asks, though he already goes to check if the door is locked before waiting for an answer, and opens it if it isn't.

Bump.
