Tiamat advises, "I believe you will encounter them as you move on with your journey. If you plan to get me to full power so I may fight the Golden Emperor myself... I don't know if we will have much time for that. If he succeeds in absorbing this part of the material plane in to his realm, I am not sure if even I would be able to stop him at full power. For now..."
Tiamat stops and looks towards the door with all five of her heads. "Is someone there behind that door?"
"If you cannot do so, then what hope have we?" Komos says, adding, "We will do what we can to return your power to you!"Then looking back towards Zorn he says, "Zorn. It seems our quest here has become more than simply a trophy hunt. Our Lady hear needs our help."
Skaro moves forward and his eyes widen at the sight of the dragon. The red scales on his cheek turn a lighter shade as he puffs his chest out, standing tall. He bashes his sword arm to his chest in salute.
"Skaro serves the Great Dragon. Summoned by her, he was." he stares at each of his companions in some kind of vindication. "She shall be restored to her full power, or he will die trying."
An advantage of having 5 heads was that the goddess could give her full attention to up to five people at once. The Red Dragon head says, "I do recall urging all my followers to storm Neverwinter but I did not think any one made it in time." Her Green head moves closer to Skaro and her Black head moves closer to Zorn so she can observe them closely using her Truesight. The two dragon heads say, "Ah... you are who you say you are. With an eldritch god of madness slowly consuming this very land we stand on, I'm sure you understand why I had to be sure you were not some twisted abomination in disguise. It is good that the two of you are also here. The fact that I have four champions here to save the world instead of two or three is reassuring."

With her White head she speaks to Komos, "The more of this place that's consumed into the Eternal City, the stronger the Emperor's presence. Once this place has been consumed, I doubt I would be able to beat the Emperor even if I was at full power. That is why, I must rely on you. I am a goddess and if I use my powers too carelessly, I will attract the full attention of the Emperor and that would be a disaster. However, the four of you are not immediately noticeable as a massive threat to the Emperor. That is why I need you to travel to the heart of the corruption and sever the connection to the Eternal City. That way, we will have stopped Neverwinter from being consumed and thus, we would not have to face the Emperor.
"Take the gates and go towards the Lost Mines of Phandelver. There is a well in the mines that used to be used for creating magical weapons. Now it is being used to slowly power the assimilation of the region. That is where you must go. Normally if you take the path out of the city, you will reach Phandalin. However because of how much of this corruption has spread, I doubt what you will find on the path would be anything like what it was supposed to be. This is your mission for now."
Varn bows again. The young brass-coloured Kobold is the one they all know as the son of the last clan's leader. That's why they're here in the first place, right? To help him prove he, is all the Kobolds of the Dragonbloods, is worthy of leading the clan. Well, that was the original plan. Now there's a new one, much grander and more important. Varn bows before the goddess again. "Then, that is what we'll do. Come, everyone. Let us head to this well, and do as the goddess commanded. Can we open the gates from here, or must we go into the other tower as well?"
The goddess points up towards where the stairs lead with her white head and says, "There is a lever upstairs. Use that to open the door. I shall take my leave now. I will wait for you half way to Phandalin. Good luck." Tiamat then spreads her wings and takes flight out of the tower.
"It is good I have come to aid you." Zorn says as he gets to his feet, after Tiamat has left. He looks around at his companions and smiles. He taps his belt meaningfully. "I can use my great strength to aid in returning our goddess to her true power." He nods, keeping a hand on his belt as he turns to the way the goddess had indicated the lever was. "Shall I go and pull the lever then?" He asks. Not waiting for a response he starts in that direction, looking for this lever to pull.
Up the stairs, Zor finds the lever in plain sight. The tower has a window on this floor and from there he can now see strange humanoid creatures shambling around aimlessly. They were not there before but they are now. The creatures have a humanoid shape with snow white skin. They don't have any faces and they don't seem to make any sounds. It doesn't seem like they are headed in any direction.
Skarro climbs the stairs behind Zor. He also sees the lever and the shambling humanoids outside. He notices something in the hoard. Though their movement is seemingly random and uncoordinated, all the creatures are slowly shifting towards the tower with their random movements. They will be at the tower in about 20 minutes time.
"Well that's the most creatures we've seen ever at one time since we've been here. Though at least they don't just look like giant bugs."Komos says as he looks past Zor's shoulder. "Should we try to be gone before they arrive?"
Skarro's eyes flit from the scene below and back to the lever, then back to the scene below. His hand grips his sword and begins to draw it before he rapidly thrusts it back into the sheath with a deep growl. "The goddess has told us what we must do."
He nods to Zorn and the lever, hand still on the hilt of his sword.
Looking pleased with himself, and flashing his belt, Zorn struts towards the open gates. "Let us be off." He says with a sharp-toothed grin at the others. "We shall return our Lady to her full power, now that Zorn is here to lend his strength as well."
With one last, frustrated, glance at the approaching creatures, Skarro strides purposefully ahead. "Hurry! No daudling! We must answer the call of destiny."
"We are leaving without showing these... things... how strong Zorn is?" Zorn asks, a bit perplexed as he glances from his companions to the creatures moving towards them. With a sigh he shrugs and moves along. "Zorn coming." He follows after their erstwhile leader, one hand adjusting the massive belt around his waist.
"If needed, you can show everyone your strength, but make sure that does not become your first objective wherever we go. We have more important matters." Varn states and turns to exit the tower. "Come, all. It's time we move on." He steps out of the tower, leaping on his mastiff. "We took long in this town, we should take no longer."
When Varn steps outside, he notices that the two Mastiffs they brought with them in town have grown a size and are covered in dragon scales. Their paws now have dragon like claws for better grip against the ground. "Woof" They bark loudly and run up to Varn and Komos, licking them happily. Even though they seem "mutated" It's a bit different than the twisted mutations that are the creatures in this place. Additionally, they seem like they have retained all their memories and personalities, still accepting Varn and Komos as their masters. Their collars are no longer a leather with rope but a metal one with shackles. They are also equipped with a riding harness to make it easier to ride them. On the collar of one of the Mastiffs, is a note,
I must thank you again for opting to increase my power. As a token of gratitude, I have blessed your mounts with bigger stronger bodies. Now they will survive more easily in this environment and can carry two kobolds each. Do not be afraid of their new features. They are still the same Mastiffs you had and are just as loyal to you as they always were.
Signed, Tiamat, The Dragon Queen, God of Chromatic Dragons.

Skarro is not willing to be left at the rear and, after a moment watching his god fly off into the distance, growls and follows Zorn.

He pauses then, listening and waiting to see if anything happened.
After pulling the lever, the grinding noise of gears can be heard as half of the main gates open, allowing the Kobolds to continue out of the city.
Looking pleased with himself, and flashing his belt, Zorn struts towards the open gates. "Let us be off." He says with a sharp-toothed grin at the others. "We shall return our Lady to her full power, now that Zorn is here to lend his strength as well."
Skarro stares at Zorn a moment, "We've been here for days" he says, a frown on his face. He shakes his head and draws his sword, "Let's move."
(( Not sure of the layout, but I'm assuming an obvious way forward just opened ))
((Yeah. You just exit the tower and walk out of town))
