Delmalis decides that it would be better for him to start asking around on the street, because his friends have the bar covered well enough, not because he was avoiding the drow woman. Definitely not that, and if he keeps telling himself that, maybe it will be true.
As Demalis goes around the street, giving Floon's description and mentioning the Skewered Dragon, several folks just shake their head at the description. As he's about to give up, he hears a soft voice yell from one of the windows. "Oy, I think I've seen your friend." Demalis turns and notices a red-skinned tiefling boy wave him over.
Demalis
The boy says "I was just finishing my school work when I saw the chap you were describing walk out of that pub with another bloke. Five other men followed them. I didn't see what happened because my ma needed some help with the dishes, but I saw them frequent a warehouse on Candle Lane. My ma told me not to go there because of the snake symbol on the door."
As he's speaking he hears a voice yell "Pike, dear time for bed."
"Right away, ma!" Pike yells before turning to Demalis. "Good luck." He goes back into his room.

Lussashakes her head, "everyone is either talking in drunk, or I have wax in my ears. I haven't picked up any info." She smiles at him in appreciation, "nice work finding that out! Now we just need to figure out where that warehouse is."

Walking over to the card game, Meep clears his throat as he casts Friends on the bugbear, since he's the biggest and clearly the smartest. You see, I'm very important and you've probably heard of me, and I have business there and I could use your help finding it."

When the bartender is not occupied Sybil will saddle up to the bar with her drink and pulls a few silver (3sp) from her pouch and sliding them over but holding her hand over them as she talks, "I'm not looking for trouble nor want any trouble. What I do want is information, not much, tell if you know or point to who may know if you would be so kind. We're looking for a warehouse with a serpent on it's door. We concerned for a young man who may have gotten escort them by accident after drinking here. The bugbear blinks for a moment and glances at his companions. "Oh yeah. That warehouse is down the street on Candle Lane. I usually steer clear of it, but that's where it's at."
At the bar, the bartender watches Meep for a second then turns to Sybil. "What Mit said. Just go down Candle Lane and you'll find the warehouse. That guy you're looking for he's very well connected. He was seen drinking and playing cards with Renaer Nevermember. Nevermember's dad was the former Open Lord of Waterdeep until he tried using our funds and troops to help Neverwinter. I've heard some other rumors about him. His kid's okay though. Your typical rich bloke."
One of the patrons walks up to the bar," Didn't the two walk out together?"
"Yeah they did," the bartender adds.

"Well, that's that taken care of. How about we celebrate it with another round of drinks? Actually, this went a lot easier and faster than I feared, so how about I buy a round for the whole bar?" Alberich offers as he digs out his money pouch. He continues, as he starts counting coins: "Was it two of us who said they don't drink? Then that would make it...four copper by...six, nine, thirteen people... Five silver and a couple coppers should do, correct?" After thinking for a second, he adds: "And I heard good word about the Chicken and Potatoes here, I'll take a plate of those as well."
The bartender nods as he takes the order, Alberich's money and keeps the drinks pouring. The food comes out about fifteen minutes later and it's some of the best food you've eaten.

"Aah, good grub, good ale, and good friends. There mustn't be a better way to spend an evening", Alberich muses after he helps his last piece of chicken down with the rest of his ale. While eating and drinking, he would have asked others about whatever they'd be willing to share of their past, as well as telling of his own. He'd tell of how while he and his father were both born here, his grandfather came far from the south-east, a gold dwarf settlement in the 'Giant's Run Mountains'. He'd complain about not being able to afford a place large enough to practice the art of brewing that his grandfather had taught him, and explain how he is more of a 'figure out a crime after it happened' type of watchman.
To Lussa, he says reassuringly: "Forget about it. I do know that the other cities do not have it as good as we do here, it's just hearing talk of it here so suddenly surprised me a little." He takes a look all around the table, making sure everyone's finished, and then says: "I guess we should get on with that mission of ours. Candle Lane, wasn't it?"
