Baryus, high elf (moon elf) monk
Baryus wasn't always the monastery type. Born in Baldur's Gate, the young elf found himself scraping to survive amongst the dregs of the city's underbelly. He managed to keep one step ahead of his marks and two steps ahead of the Flaming Fist. His life of larceny came to an end one night when, while escaping from the scene of a theft, he tumbled off a rooftop. It was a fall that should have killed him, but he walked away unharmed. The next morning he went to the temple the moon goddess, where the priest directed him to a monastery far to the North. In retrospect, the old priest probably assumed the young thief wasn't serious, and gave the young fool a fool's errand, but Baryus completed the journey through sheer determination.
Years passed before fire lit the night sky, blazing a trail among the stars to the north. Baryus immediately felt called to follow that star. Much to his surprise, the prior of the monastery agreed immediately, and told Baryus that he had had a vision of the young elf going north.
Thus the young monk finds himself in the ruins of the vale, pursuing a destiny yet to unfold.
Feat: it is important for a monk to be able to unclutter his mind and live in the moment, being truly aware of the world without internal distraction. As part of his training as a monk, Baryus has learned to be Observant. The +1 bonus will be applied to Wisdom.
Edit: those stats seem a bit OP. For the sake of flavor, could I cut that 16 in half?

Name: Blasco Freehunter
Race/Class: Human Artificer
Backstory: "There's got to be an easier way to make a living". Blasco voiced his displeasure out loud as if saying it might magically change his life. Having followed in his father's footsteps, he had become a bounty hunter. Problem was, he didn't have the stamina for it. His mind was always running, looking for the next big score.
A colleague, perhaps informant was a better term, had recently heard of some huge disaster near the Spine of the World. Allegedly, a huge rock had hurtled through the sky and crashed in the area opening passages long forgotten. Treasure spewing from dragon lairs that would make even a dwarf blush with the amount of gold and jewels. Needless to say, it more than piqued the young bounty hunters interest.
For days he travelled. Alone to start with, but as he drew closer to this Tomar Crossing, the roads began to bulge with traffic. Groups of 10 or more with caravans even larger headed towards the town while parties of 2 or 3 would stumble past him headed away. "Must be plenty of riches for those smart enough to find it."His own desire for a better life clouding what was clearly right in front of him. Less people left than arrived. Not a good sign when headed to a place of disaster. He kept moving forward, not seeming to mind.
Hook: You've heard rumors of treasure-filled ruins uncovered by the disaster and have come to fill your pockets.
Class: Either Grave Cleric or if you are okay with UA Spirits Bard (going for a shaman and the bard fills that exactly but grave cleric fills most of the goals of it so either is aokay)
Backstory: Shonir grew up among the proud Black Raven tribe of the Uthgardt. For much of her youth, she spent her time learning the ways of her people. To be of the Uthgardt is to earn your place through strength, to raid, and to follow the old ways of the spirits. Shonir and her tribe traveled much of the Spine of the World and through those wanderings, she developed a deep connection to the spirits of her people. Under the tribe's shaman, Shonir studied the histories of her people, of their many tribes, and of the hero Uthgar. When she turned 16, Shonir set off on her own to earn her name. Out in the Spine alone, she tracked an Owlbear and slew it with her hands, aided by the spirits of her people. After carving a raven totem from it's bones, she returned to her people at Raven Rock and earned the name Arau to her tribe. On one of the tribes many wanderings they set up camp on the Rimetongue glacier and Arau lead a raiding party south. While the raiding party was away, the meteor struck and melted the glacier. Arau and her entire raiding party was caught in a landslide and as she was swept away, Arau felt the spirit of the raven lift her out of the worst of the disaster. When she awoke, she was alone near the road to Tomar's Crossing. Now Arau is searching for her tribe and hoping that some of them survived. If none of them did, she knows it is her duty to make sure that her tribe's name is engraved in legend.
Hook: Shonir is searching for any of her tribe that may have survived the disaster and found her way to Tomar's Crossing to find them
I can definitely post multiple times a day. I really enjoy roleplaying and watching characters grow and develop bonds with each other. I look forward to hearing from you as this sounds like a really fun adventure.
Backstory: Simon grew up in a small village with parents who wanted Simon to be more than a farmer. His parents would find him books whenever a peddler would come to town and encouraged him to explore the countryside. Simons's first discovery was a long-forgotten (at least to his young mind) kobold encampment. He spent days in this camp looking at the simple writing and decoding what it said. He came back home with pockets full of treasures that actually earned him a couple of copper pieces. This caused him to search out any and all books he could find on kobolds.
In his early teens, an adventuring party came through town and Simon saw this as his opportunity. He studied out which of the party was a spell caster and went to them with what little coin he had saved up. He begged this caster to show him how to cast the few spells he had found in books and one written by the kobolds. The caster took his money, showed him the somatic components of his spells, and left town. Simon practiced those spells every day on small animals or the village bully.
As he became an adult his parents worried that their little village would be a hindrance to his learning and so they gave him some coin and food and sent him on his way.
Hook: You've heard rumors of treasure-filled ruins uncovered by the disaster and have come to learn what you can of this foreign race.
Tanen was born as the result of an orc raid on an isolated human community. Although his origins brought shame to his family, they never shunned him. As a result he grew up loving his parents, especially his mother, Suanne.
Tanen has spent his life trying to bring honour to his family name and working to protect his people. Slowly, the rest of the community came to tolerate and then accept him, especially as he grew out of his teens and left to serve in the local militia, working to protect their borders from future raids.
After one season of patrols, Tanen returned home with a wife, Filicity, a human from a nearby village where he had been stationed for some time. Returning to his home, they settled down and started a family, with two children, a young boy named Derrin (now 10) and a daughter named Willow (now 7).
Recent times have been tough on the community, with little work available beyond tending your own gardens and a hunting for your own food. Desiring more for his young family, Tanen had left home to utilise his skills and look for paid employment as a mercenary or merchants guard.
While away on patrol with the guards, the valley was rocked by chaos. He saw as the comet fell from the sky, leaving a trail of fire behind. The earthquakes brought down the hills around them, killing most of the patrol the Tanen had left with. Escaping, battered and bruised, he made his way home to his village, where he found bodies scattered like toys, his son, Derrin amongst them.
Nowhere did he see his wife and daughter though. Not knowing where else to go, he simply followed his feet from settlement to settlement until he finally found himself at Tomar's Crossing.
Hook: - You used to live in the valley, and are now yourself a refugee arriving at Tomar's Crossing. (Included in backstory)

Just to clarify, are you still choosing the people to participate? Or have you all ready chosen and let them know?
I updated the main post, I've chosen already.
