Zelk waits with Andarel until the elf comes back to consciousness and then as she comes to he says, "Hey! Are you okay? You took quite a blow there." In the meantime, while Andarel is still unconscious, he searches the bodies of the dead Kuo-Tao and looks for any clues that might point them towards where the civilization is.

You find a total of 18 gp, 13 sp, and 12cp on the bodies, a brass orb etched with strange runes, and a ring made of glass that cannot be broken, but no directions. Shuushar knows the way to the city, though.
Zelk will pick up the coins as well as the orb and the ring. As he waits for Andarel, he messes around with the orb, trying to decipher the runes or better understand perhaps its purpose.

Tossing the device to Fuse, Zelk waits patiently for Andarel to finish waking up. To the artificer, he says, "Not sure what this is, but it looks interesting. Maybe you could patch it up?"

"Seems useful, Could maybe block areas, or capture enemies. Worth a shot. We've got some time.. though if we linger too long more may show up." Fuse will play with and try to repair the object best he can.
Zelk will let Fuse have the object, as clearly the artificer understands it better than him. After some time Zelk also feels some of his natural magics restored and so he whispers a word of healing to Andarel to wake her properly from her slumber so that they may move on.
During the Short Rest (First Hour): Natural Recovery to regain a Level 1 Spellslot
Bonus Action: Cast Healing Word on Andarel Andarel heals for 9 HP
(Yeah. Just lacking some direction. between jumps in time and such. i'm not entirely sure what name are other player characters at this point though. Other than Zelk)
Fuse reiterates his preivous question. "Should we even see that city if these attacked us? Do we know why the yattacked us?"
(AFAIK they didn't kill our ally before we joined the battle. so I assume they might be able to providie input on this)
Zelk shakes his head, "Some civilization is better than none. Is there any way that we could perhaps convince these people that we mean no harm?" He directs this last question to Shushar.

"That's true... At some point we're gonna run into more Drow; or something we can't win against.... we did kind of uh.. slaughter a lot of them just now though. Unless they were bandits?" Fuse adds to Zelk's line of questioning
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Still a little disorientated, Andarel nods appreciatively to the other two as Zelk heals some of the injuries and the group rests "Thanks for handling that... one moment everything was right way up, then it wasn't then it was black. Don't normally get hit that hard on the practice runway... I guess practice time is long over though."
"They don't strike me as 'we come in peace' types any more... What exactly did you say to them Shusshar?"
If I read that right, we took a short rest, so I'll expend a hit die on top of the heal 7
OOC - apologies, work and life have kept me off the forums for a couple of weeks, I'm still good.
"They asked if I was a follower of the Deep Father. When I responded that I was not, they attacked. I believe there may be a religious civil war in progress."
"Perhaps it would be possible to just pretend that we follow the Deep Father so that we can rest and lay low in the city until the drow give up on searching for us." Zelk muses. He then asks the others as he thinks about the answer himself, "Does anybody know anything about the Deep Father?"

"I'm not sure if the City is a great idea considering that.. difficult welcome. but stumbling around isn't much better. Any ideas why they attacked?"
It appears to be some sort of device that spews webs, but it is damaged. Fuse could easily fix it.

Zelk:
You cannot recall anything about the Deep Father. However, you do remember that Kuo-Toa communities come up with new deities practically weekly.
