((Oh, the Help action normally works on Ability Checks and Attacks, not Saving Throws. For this specific situation, I'll say if you rush towards and spend your Action holding Vanys (Grapple, automatic success as he willingly fails the resisted check), it will grant him advantage on the Saving Throw against the Avalanche 🙂 You could also try the Resistance cantrip instead if you have it, or some other feature.))
((And since the Avalanche "acts" twice I'll need another save from Mihris (at Initiative count 0), which will define whether Vanys will have advantage or not on their second Saving Throw. I'm considering he has guaranteed advantage at least on the first one since Mihris succeeded and is probably holding/helping him.))
(OOC: I forgot to roll with advantage, so that roll is below, but hopefully the first one is enough to succeed. I will wait to post my action until I find out whether Vanys is buried.)

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
After standing her ground against the initial pounding of the avalanche, Mihris glances back and sees Vanys about to get hit by it, and a few steps later she holds the sorcerer firmly, helping him against the shower of snow and rocks. Both of them are able to hold off briefly against the incoming force. However, as the bulk of snow piles up against them, a rolling rock hits one of Mihris' legs and causes her boots slip from the ground, and she begins to falter and slide off.
2nd Avalanche damage: 2 bludgeoning.
((Vanys succeeded the 1st saving throw! Vanys takes no damage (0.5 rounded down) and avoids being pushed because Mihris is holding him. However, Mihris is about to fail her 2nd saving throw. Vanys acts before the Avalanche and can return the favor by grappling her, though he must first succeed on his own 2nd saving throw at the start of his turn to avoid being dragged before he is able to do help her.))
"Run!!!" Mihris half-dragging half-leaning on Vanys straggled to get out of the dangerous area - she had no idea how many more waves of snow to expect, especially if the avalanche was not natural. She just tried to move toward others in hope they all can make it to some kind of shelter.
It was more of an "educated guess" - they were here specifically because suspected fowl play (with an avalanche in mind too), but now she returned to that thought. Perception: 8 even if could not point exactly how one can orchestrate an avalanche.
(OOC: Not sure exactly the order of events here... so correct me if I have it wrong...)
With Mihris's help, Vanys is able to avoid getting pushed too far down by the snow, and decides to return the favor by grappling her as he says, "We can make it! We just have to hold on for a bit longer."
If Vanys gets dragged down before he can grab onto Mihris, he spends his movement trying to climb back up the cliff to reach Mihris and help her. If he cannot reach her, he dashes to try and get to her.
While they were initially able to stand their ground against the incoming avalanche, Vanys slips from Mihris' grasp as he is overwhelmed by the increasing weight of snow and debris set against them and eventually falters and is barreled down and carried downhill, submerging and disappearing from view completely somewhere under the settling avalanche.
(( I ended up mixing things between post orders. Sorry about that. Let's recap: Initiative 10: The Avalanche's first wave reaches you, forcing you to two save, both Mihris (22) and Vanys (18) save successfully and take no damage (0.5 rounded down). Initiative 9: Mihris moves towards Vanys and grabs him to help him. Initiative 4: Vanys also braces Mihris, so both have Advantage against the Avalanche's next wave. Initiative 0: The Avalanche's second wave reaches you, forcing you two to save, Mihris (10 and ??) still has to roll once, and Vanys (13 and 4) fails. The second wave deals 2 bludgeoning damage to Vanys and drags him below the snow, he is now blinded, restrained, and has total cover (so who knows where he was dragged to.) Mihris may take 1 or 2 bludgeoning damage and maybe suffer the same fate, depending on her last roll from the Advantage.))
Mialee and Red are able to see as Vanys is dragged under the snow and disappears, and Mihris is still faltering against the wave, her destiny still uncertain.
((The save DC is 15, so after Mihris rolls, we can continue with Mialee and Red, assuming a Roll<15 means she has suffered the same fate as Vanys.))
((Nope, Vanys eventually slips from your grasp as he is dragged by the avalanche. All you could do without any specific magic was to Help him with Advantage. 😞 Mihris takes 1 bludgeoning damage and is pushed back 15 ft., snow up to her waist, but not buried.))
Mialee and Red watch from a distance as after a moment almost faltering against the sheer weight of the piled snow against her, Mihris finally is able to steady herself. Mere seconds after it started with a blast near the peak of the hill, the bulk of snow and rocks is now settled over the lower part of the hill, hiding many of the rocky outcroppings that used to be visible around, and also completely hiding the current whereabout of Vanys, who is nowhere to be seen, buried under the snow. After the rumbling cacophony of the avalanche, the hill is now eerily silent.
((You can all describe your actions. Vanys may attempt to dig himself out of the snow with an Action by rolling a Strength (Athletics) check (if you fail this check 3 times, you may no longer attempt it, and must figure out something else (while still blinded and restrained) or wait for help.) All the others may attempt any actions to try to find him and dig him out.))
Tense seconds pass as Mialee and Red approach, while Mihris looks around the irregular piles of snow for any signs of their companion. Some time later, to their relief, they see a hand jut out of the snow, quickly followed by the face of Vanys somewhat bruised and gasping for air. The sorcerer is eventually helped out from under the snow by the others, and the group now stand halfway up the hill with the mess caused by the avalanche mostly behind them and the ever present howling wind blowing snow on their faces.

Mia was frozen in place, helplessly watching her friends struggling in the avalanche. And finally the white onslaught ended. Mia starts to run, stumbles, gets up and runs again. Becoming like a little snowman as she hasten to join her friends.
"Miri! Van! VAN WHERE ARE YOU!"Just when the druid girl is about to use her magic to find him, the sorcerer breaks the snow prison and takes a big breath of air. "Oh thanks mother nature! You are safe! I was so…so worrying about you!"Mia sinks down to the snowy ground. (I'm druid, I know nature)She thinks. (And I don't call this freaking avalanche natural!) She turns her gaze toward the hilltop, searches the sign of another snowslide and the cause of this disaster.
Mihris was checking Vanys's condition - nothing appeared to be broken and right now it seemed like magic was not needed, not right away, though one never knows. "How are you? Can you walk?" She nodded to druid "I agree, that is too much of a coincidence to be natural. But was it done to stop us from getting up, or does it make the road unwalkable for the caravan?"
Looking back down towards Ten Trail, Mihris is able to see much of the snow and debris from the avalanche did settle over the road, making it impassable for vehicles for the moment. Certainly, any wagon caught in its way would probably be damaged, if not completely crushed. However, since this avalanche wasn't a particularly massive one, she guesses that a few hours of shoveling may allow the beasts and wagons to move through once again.

Jogging up to the deshevled but safe crew. "Hey Hey, that's a new one. Mark survived an avalanche in your journals. That'll be a good story. Looks like the road's scattered.. but we were ahead of the caravan... Think that was meant for us, or as a block for the caravan to slow them for night, or think it was meant to kill them-but we forced the hand early? " Scanning the mountain above us where the avalance came from. Red tries to see if he can catch a glimps of anything past the settling snow, reflective haze, and general bad weather
Vanys's head pops out of the snow and he spits out a chunk that had gotten into his mouth. "Ouch." He glances up the mountain with the others, and Mihris asks how he is, he just responds with a wave of his hand and a nonchalant "I'll live." When Red mentions his theories Vanys chimes in, "Either way, if this wasn't natural, then whatever caused might still be up there, or maybe they left a sign or something. I think our next clue is at the top of the mountain."

"My feet are fine. But my eyes…Chauntea's hair! I can't see a thing! It's too foggy! " Mia squints her eyes at the top of the hill and irritatedly rubs them. "I agree with Van. I don't think that avalanche is all they got. If the enemy wants to slaughter a whole caravan, they must hold something bigger. Which means we have to be careful. Red, would you give us your glowing orb? So that next time someone is buried under the snow, others can find them easily "
