However, upon seeing Nara races ahead of the pack, she snaps to attention, seem to start performing a short dance maneuver like a maniac, and then with a snap of her fingers, blue sparks of power flash across her skin. She takes off a second later, dashing through the first set of doors, and continues to virtually beeline ahead.
Marmaduke rushes in to do battle, propelled by unnatural speed.
The creatures move in. They click and hiss toward each other, moving in a way reminiscent of hunting wolves. Due to their size they are able to utilize cover very effectively. (Any cover for them is total against ranged attacks.)

Tier 1:
"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one of tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. "You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
The next match will bring back some of our veteran contestants. Any interested Level-7 contestants may participate. The match will start in about 24 hours.
To win this battle... 3... Defeat your opponents. New enemies will join the fight every three rounds. Defeat your foes before you are whittled away.
The time: 3 Night. The sun has set, and the battle field is lit with Torches and Dancing Lights. Checks relying on sight will suffer disadvantage even with Darkvision.
The arena is unchanged. A tall marble tower stands in a well manicured garden surrounded by marble halls. Steps lead down into the garden and again into the tower interior. Inside a dais offers the high ground, and advantage on and against melee attacks from opponents you can see.
