Before going to sleep Gabreil will lay out his gear, oiling his armor, and oiling Mighty V. If it's possible he will take a bath, and use lay on hands to neutirlize the poison (alcohol) in his system.
(It's been mentioned a few times. Probably it's never actually been told to us in game, but we all just recall it. We can treat "the Redbrands" as "the bandits.)
(My apologies the post that the name red brands was mentioned was a post to Katherine character not mine, I read it wrong and took as the guys answering my question about the shadowy figures, so it was my bad Gabreil has good hearing? Hehe)
If you happen to come back down to the common room you find Lanar still snoring by the fire. Muttering and the sounds of dishes being washed come from the kitchen.
Trilena is the one who comes back out of the kitchen carrying a tray with mugs and a steaming pitcher.
She pours hot coffee into mugs, placing a pitcher of fresh cream and a bowl of sugar on the table.
"I have to ask.... is there any chance that you could get rid of these awful Redbrands?" her voices lowers and she glances around, even though you are the only ones in the room.
"We want peace here, we came here thinking it was a new start, to just live our lives. But now these gangsters, ruffians, bandits - they have taken away everything we came here for!"
Trilena turns away and walks to the kitchen door. Her upright posture and composure fail her just before getting inside. Her shoulders slump and she sobs, but then is out of sight.
No need to fear, the teenager will bring your adventurer-sized platter of bacon and eggs out shortly
Grzak lifts a mug of coffee and blows the steam off before sipping on it, black. That simply joy was welcome in order to offset the bad news about the Redbrands.
As he sees Trilena sob, his heart breaks a little. He sighs and wishes everyone a “good” morning while he continues to sip on his coffee. He turns to Cringer but says loud enough for all to hear,
”See Cringer, bullies are everywhere. And many are too weak to fight back.”
"Cringer see." Cringer agrees. he picks up the cup with coffee and tries a sip. He frowns at it. "This no taste coffee..." He says. "Coffee no taste good.... This taste good..." He takes another sip, smacking his lips. "How get dark no add dirt?" He asks, looking into the mug.
Kathrine settles at the table, giving the younger woman a friendly smile before the teen heads off. as the mother breaks down Kathrine gets up and follows her into the kitchen. She pulls the older woman in for a hug. "We will do what we can to look into these ruffians, but we need to decide which item is of the most importance to the town as a whole. A friend of Sildar's is currently held prisoner by some goblin king, so that might have to take priority over these ruffians for the moment, but I promise we will do what we can, even if it takes a bit longer than I would like."
Alarion fights the urge to charm the poor woman into feeling better. He assures the girl that he'll deliver the message, and then sits down to eat. If anyone (Grzak) seems particularly hungry, he will offer them some of his breakfast. While they eat, he conveys his plan:
"Kathrine and Cringer can go speak with Mr. Edermath, you two can investigate the orcish threat, and I can speak to the Alderleafs and, if I have time, go try to find this sister Garaele. I do not think that the Redbrands would be so bold as to attack any of us in broad daylight, and, even if they do, I have my magic to protect myself, and the rest of you are all capable in combat. Is that a sound plan? Do you have any suggestions?"
Gabriel has a half glass of white wine to set him up for the morning, along with the eggs.
"Sounds good Alarion, while we are at we can look into this Redbrand issue as well. If we can handle it quick and now we should, if they haven't killed Gundren yet a day shouldn't matter.....i don't think."

Alarion will also take a bath if possible, either before he goes to sleep or in the morning.
"Huh." the sword speaks as Gabriel comes out of the shower. (totally sheathed, nothing inappropriate)
"So... how does Alarion know the name of this gang?"
(It's been mentioned a few times. Probably it's never actually been told to us in game, but we all just recall it. We can treat "the Redbrands" as "the bandits.)
"Hmmm..."
the sword goes back through previous posts. Nope, no mention of Redbrands.
(Emphasis mine)

(Post 981 I asked about the shadowy figures, and post 982 the Redbrands name was dropped.)
(Plus we all compared info)
ah ok, i really do appreciate that you looked into it and helped me not worry that i'm not quite that senile yet ;)
( hmmm not sure we said you aren't senile.......hehe)
(hey if you're old and wise as all that, you should know by now - don't piss off the DM!)

You guys all have a good night's rest at the Inn.
If you happen to come back down to the common room you find Lanar still snoring by the fire. Muttering and the sounds of dishes being washed come from the kitchen.
A teenage girl saunters out of the kitchen.
"You guys want something? Breakfast? Mom said I had to ask."
She would be chewing bubble gum and wearing black lipstick if those things had been invented yet.
"Bacon and eggs mom, the usual!" the girl yells towards the kitchen door.
She plops down on the bench beside you and leans over, whispering.
"Could you guys get a message to Carp? Q's son. Just tell him... I don't care that you're short. I still wanna... hang out."
She jumps off the seat when Trilena barks from the kitchen "get back in here girl!"
