(OOC hope y'all had a great Saturday, it's starting to feel like spring is around the corner. Kudos Veth. I'll be busy for most of the afternoon, but checking in.)
"You want I go get 2 of Yeemik's gang to come?" Thinker swallows, looking anxious. "Ok, I get Cringer to do it."
He scurries away, and 10 minutes later, 2 goblins follow Thinker into the cave with the waterfall and pools. They look meaner than the goblins you've met so far. They have facial scars that look as if they were carved there on purpose. One of them growls upon seeing the party and his teeth look as if they've been whittled into sharp points. The other one wears bones of various kinds tied into her hair, as well as in necklaces and bracelets. She crouches as if ready to spring.
While the instructions are being given to retrieve 2 more goblins, Grzak will without warning sprint back into Klarg’s chamber, “Be right back” is all he said as he dashed up the stone steps.
He wants to do a cursory search for replacement clothing amongst the crates. Shirt, trousers, boots, those sorts of things. Of course realizing they would need to be half-orc size to be usable. He will also examine Klarg for whatever garb he has and if it is in better shape than his current cut and tattered clothes. He will not plan on changing clothes now, but just inventory/set it aside for later. If anything is suitable.
(I seem to recall a goblin (Cringer?) offering the location of a healing potion or two. Did they ever get picked up and put into someone’s inventory? If not, would Grzak come across them in his search, recall what the goblin said about the liquid, and put them in his inventory? Or am I misremembering the whole thing?)
Finally, Grzak wants to try a dry run through to see how the caves will carry sound. He will position himself back near the garbage chute but face roughly towards the steps exiting Klarg’s chamber. He will lift his voice towards the ceiling and bellow, “YEEMIK! YOU SLUG! KLARG MAD! KLARG SAY YOU COME NOW!
Then he’ll bang the Morningstar against the stalagmite in the back of the chamber a couple of times. Clank Clank “YEEMIK! KLARG SICK RIPPER ON YOU IF YOU NO COME!”
Grzak will then dash to the steps and look expectantly at the group to look for signs of approval. Or maybe the sound of the water drowned out his performance. Or for signs of disapproval, if he was too loud and the sound possibly carried too far ...
(Yes Kathrine found the potions and the 'treasure' from the bugbear's stash. She left it up to the group who carried it, but I have put it in a log of treasure to be split up later.)
Kathrine, seeing that these are more feral than the other goblins, decides to go with intimidation instead of being nice...
"Surrendor or die." She snaps at the two new goblins. She would use the fact they have the goblins completely outnumbered to make her point even better. (Hoping we get advantage due to there only being the two and they are outnumbered...)
Gzak finds a variety of clothes in the bags in Klarg's cave. Most of them don't fit well. The only pants that fit him are checkered. Other than that he finds a black top that fits tight around his torso.
He does find black leather boots, a bit tight, but manageable for now.
Grzak sets aside his new outfit (stunning) for later. Once the whole cave structure is “friendly”, he plans to quickly bathe to wash away the crusted blood and grime and mud and filth that he has accumulated over, has it been nearly a week? It won’t be a leisurely soak as he imagines that the water is frigid, but it should prove “exhilarating”.
Now after his attempt at acting and he pops his head around the corner with a wry grin. The confirmation that Thinker and Pinky give of his performance causes his grin to turn into a comfortable smile.
Unfortunately, when the two feral goblins enter his view, his smile turns to more of a scowl. These two maybe spark a memory of the cutting and cruelty. The one-eyed Gruumsh (absent for so long) whispers in Grzak’s ears. Kill them, they have it coming. They deserve a much slower death than you’ll give them, but kill them Kill Them KILL THEM ...
Grzak approaches the two new goblins in a round about circle in an effort to cut off any escape they may have considered. As he walks he hefts and swings Klarg’s Morningstar so that they get a good look at it. This delaying tactic of walking around the enemy had the effect of quieting Gruumsh and a new voice begins to whisper in his other ear. Could it be Helm the Protector? Do not be hasty to deal death to non-combatants. These two may save YOU in the end.
Grzak’s face involuntarily turns from stern to confused. His circling maneuver complete, he leans in to get an even better view of these two new goblins. Both Gruumsh and Helm are vying for Grzak’s attention, but instead of giving in to either, he softly and somewhat sarcastically asks, “Do you remember me?”
Seeing Grazk circling, Gabriel does his best to position himself to be ready for whatever comes next. While he is not blood thirsty he understands Grazk might need vengeance. At Grazk's words Gabriel finds his grip on his sword tighten and his eyes narrowing, knowing how they respond might very well lead to violence.
Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to my enemies but tempered with wisdom, be responsible for my actions and shoulder the consequences. Can these goblins, especially the last two be left free, will they cause more harm if set free? If they harm one good person that blood would be on my hands. Torm guide my actions, Gabriel silently prays.
Grzak rises as Cringer brings these bad tidings. He then shifts his attention to the two newcomers. "Choose quickly! Swear loyalty to your new masters or die with your old ones. Three. Two. One." As Grzak counts down, the Morningstar is raised higher and higher with impending doom to follow for the two.
"We swear!" cry the new goblins, backing up to the wall, hands up.
The other goblins look at Grzak with fear in their eyes. "We tie them up for you Master!" cries Thinker.
There is something... something in the face, the teeth, the bones around her neck that Grzak remembers from the days of pain. He is barely containing his rage.
"NO!" Grzak shouts. "These two have sworn loyalty and it is fitting for them to come with us and have their loyalty tested!" Grzak lowers the Morningstar and begins to make his way to the upper passage.
"Everyone follow me. No one is left behind. We will take Yeemik together. If they wish to fight, they will surely die."
Grzak begins yelling ahead up into the tunnel. "YEEMIK WANT MORE? YEEMIK GET MORE!"
To this point in Grzak's life, turning his back on these two, who nearly killed him earlier, was either the bravest or the most foolhardy thing he had ever done.
Kathrine quickly sets up a new emboldening bond between Grzak and Gabriel. She sighs as she sees the barely-controled rage in Grzak's body language. She hopes he can hold out long enough to keep the death toll down to a minimum.
Grzak will hastily make his way up the tunnel, continuing his shouts. The plan does creep back into his mind to try and draw Yeemik away from the prisoner, this human whom Grzak owes a life debt to for distracting the goblin torturers just long enough ...
Grzak slows his pace allowing the others to catch up. And will stop before the tunnel opens into any kind of chamber or allow any firelight from a chamber to illuminate him.
Grzak gazes at the spikes of the Morningstar as he rolls his wrist bringing the different spikes into view.
”YEEMIK, KLARG GOT SOMETHING SHINY FOR YOU! YOU COME, KLARG GIVE YOU!”
Grzak then urges everyone be quiet as he listens for someone to approach from ahead.
Sheathing his sword, Gabreil rushes to the fire to light his torch, turning on his heels and holding the now blazing torch before him he heads off after the barbarian.
Gabreil smiles when he hears Grzak yelling, at least he remembered the plan.
Not having dark vision Gabreil is uncertain if it's effected by bright light, so he will keep his torch low trying to mask Grazk by creating shadows and a larger silhouette.

The two new goblins cower. They are not friendly, but they can be kept in this cave by the other goblins you've 'friended'.

Yah... me neither
