Cringer seems frozen. Katherine and Alarion hear footsteps running back the way they came... Pinky and Thinker.
(Gabriel had been behind Grzak in the tunnel with the torch. He handed off the torch and swapped places with Grzak, still not illuminated from any torches/firelight from the adjacent cavern. The shouting about prisoner exchange occurred, then an apparently shackled human Paladin is shoved/stumbles out of the tunnel and into the (dimly lit) cavern. As the eyes of the goblins first focus on the new prisoner, he catches himself from falling (there was never an attempt to shove to prone) and he makes a beeline to the three lower goblins, revealing that he is not shackled either. When Gabriel begins his sprint (the jig is up no more need for deception) Grzak sprints out of the tunnel, making his own beeline to the upper cavern to make himself a meat shield for Sildar.)
As Grazk shoves Gabriel he pretends to stumble, then stumbles for real (My low iniative rolls) catching his footing Gabriel (on his turn) yells a war cry "FOR TORM!" And will charge and attack the goblins.
Before we get into it, and have the same issues as last time, I want to stress that what we posted is our plan on our turn. Gabriel didn't run out into the middle of four goblins then stand there. If we are not doing a surprise round and the goblins get to act then Gabriel and Grazk I don't believe would have moved yet. The point of our deception would be to catch them by surprise not to run into the middle of them and stand there.
In other words Alarion the initiative master would go, then looks like the goblins, then Katherine Grazk then me, then Yemmick, and Rowan if he is still playing, if not make him a npc tell we get done with the caves?
Does that sound correct or am I missing something? Play by posts seem to go at a weird pace that I am not used to so I want to make sure I have it in my head what will and is happening.
Grazk then Gabriel run out and do their thing. Gabriel should get an attack at this point I would think. Guessing Grazk has to dash to get into position.
Then we would go to initiative... Alarion would go, then the goblins, then Katherine, Grazk, Gabriel, and Yemmick last.
Kathrine is not entering the chamber yet. Remember Grazk and Gabriel have Emboldening Bond, so, once per turn, you can add a 1d4 to any attack, save, or ability check you make.
(OOC Yah, that makes sense. I'm learning pbp as I go, it has been weird, and although I knew DnD inside and out as a kid, I'm still re-learning it with 5e. I was busy and distracted, trying to post to keep up yesterday.
I haven't heard back from Rowan. I think you guys make a good party with or without a rogue, but if you want one, I can post ad for PC or someone can take on a 2nd level goblin nicknamed Cringer ;)
So... I think that means everyone in the party has their action before we go to initiative. Then the rolls.
Are you all running past the 3 goblins to attack Yeemik?
That sounds right. Alarion will run forward and nonlethally attack Yeemik with his dagger.
Attack: 5
Damage: 4
(It's my understanding that the three feral goblins can be reached and melee'd in a single round. Gabriel is doing this. Yeemik and Sildar are too far to be reached in a single round unless you sacrifice your attack action and replace it with the dash action. Grzak is doing this.)
Grzak dashes and reaches the top of the stairs to put himself between Yeemik, just rising out of his pile of furs, and Sildar, hanging from metal cuffs, blood and bruises all over his face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I am damage rolls wrong, I have had max every time and that can't be right, the virtual dice gods have shown they don't love that much so I am gunna reroll damage to keep it as my 15 year old says "legit")
(Your doing a great job dming, just learning how to make this go smoothly. As for Rowan I say npc him tell we leave the cave then he can move on, we got a sold four man group. That also gives him time to come back if he wants.)

For S&Gs the goblins on the ground floor will have separate initiative rolls from Yeemik on the upper:
Yeemik 4
3 goblins 18
I still win so far!
Since DragonsDenn posted that this is a busy time, I think it will be ok to roll for Katherine's initiative?
lol Alarion!
Kath: 13
Initiative rolls are:
Alarion: 20 - you see 3 feral goblins as you enter the cave, and a ledge
The 3 goblins who were peeking out will attack... 18
Grzak's charge through the cavern and up the stairs has brought him face to face with Yeemik, and he sees Sildar, hanging from shackles, wounded. 14
Katherine is close behind 13
Gabriel has attempted a non-violent solution, but finds himself under attack by the feral goblins. 7
Yeemik is waking up from a nap, caught off guard 3
Not sure how swinging a long sword at a goblin is non-violent hehe.

(Ouch)
I agree with you Dragonden, is that how it is going?
If so then I'll take my attack.
Attack: 7 Damage: 11

Ok. In that case, Alarion will dash.
(Thank you Veth13, sincerely, afk a few hours)
I always look forward to this game, which is saying something as I am in a lot of them. You are doing a great job.
I would be willing to control a rogue-version of Cringer if that is wished by others. Just let me know. I would wish to build them out though.
