Kia continues quietly, taking in as much as she can. She hangs with Odmun. ;)
She has been carefully examining the damage to buildings, and now the church, and its altar. She seems much calmer than you have seen her, her tail is almost quiet as she pads along, eyes roving, nose questing.
She will observe the burial ceremony with interest, unless (until?) it goes sideways.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
OOC > I forgot to add some color to my combat action, that everyone would have seen. Crispy says Kia did get to attack the wolf, and when she did, especially since it was at night, the party would have send this:
Kia rolls into a crouch, tenses, and springs at the wolf, claws out. Her leap carries her past his snapping jaws, and she reaches out and rakes his side. As she does, the scarred brooch on her chest flares with a purple light.
OOC > That is all. As you were. On with the burial.

The cemetery is peaceful and quiet, behind the church. You witness an incredible sight as you carry the body to one of the empty plots. You see about a hundred ghostly humanoids walking towards the cemetery, from Castle Ravenloft - as in a procession taking place. The ghosts do not notice you, they don't attack you, they simply walk slowly towards the graves. Once they find their spot, the sink into the ground.
"Don't mind the ghosts" Donavich says mournfully, "They're just dead adventurers who tried to kill the Vampyr." Ireena nods in agreement.
The burial goes uneventful, and Ireena and Donavich say a few words about Ireena's father, have a moment of silence, and turn to look at you all.
"I want to kill the Vampyr. He has tourtured this land long enough. Who is with me?" Ireena says.
Martha cocks an eyebrow, “You know, I think the fact that you both are talking about this so casually says more about this place than the giant wolf. Anyway, I’m happy to help. This place is giving me a bad feeling and it would speak poorly of Eilistraee if I didn’t help.”

"When you have lived in this land as long as I have, nothing much scares you anymore. But HE does." Donavich gives you a weak smile. "Only my faith seems to barely keep him away."
Ireena puts a hand on his shoulder, then address you all. "Come. While the sun is still in the sky. Let us take the road out of town west. Toward the Castle."
Kia cocks her head. "Would we not best wait until daybreak again? I am not fearful of the night, but he seems to be a creature of it. I would not arrive at his lair as his power begins to climb."
OOC > Or is it still early in the morning? I thought it might be, but I'm not sure how long the burial took, and "While we still have daylight" sounds like "Quick before the sun sets!" to me.
(Let's see if I can hit the main points I missed:)
(To Briella upon entering the house:)
"Mind you words, priestess," the necromancer spits, "Servants of Nerrul are not hindered by simple wards. As the wizard invites himself to the various rooms, he mumbles, "Death cannot be stopped..."
(After sleeping in the house:)
Grishkar wakes up with the same abominable demeanor he went to sleep with. A room is the mansion is now stripped bare of all holy symbols and wards; below a window they can be found in a crude pile.
(Arrival to the church:)
Grishkar follows behind the rest as they approach the ruined church. The sight of constant assault brings a smile to his mouth. As they enter, Grishkar whispers a silent prayer to The Reaper asking Him to finish what was started. Despite his Lord's malice toward all living things, Grishkar saw no purpose in prolonged suffering as it slowed the transition into death and, whenever able, undeath.
Throughout the church as the various people discussed the business of burials, Grishkar poked around, slipping through books and opening various sacred apparatus. This was partly curiosity, partly passive-aggressive desecration.
(After the Burial:)
Grishkar played a surprising move by attending the burial and appearing quite reverent. However, upon examination, the truth was much less pure. Grishkar said prayers to his patron, giving thanks for ending another life in this world and praying that it find further to come. As the spectral army approached to their graves, Grishkar stood awestruck, leaning to Ireena, "Exactly what manner of spirits are theses? Do they still possess any connection to their former selves or are they stuck in a limbo between life and death?"
At the offer of hubting the Vampyr, Grishkar reluctantly aggrees, "Killing him would remove a threat to us." The wizard begins walking away, "...and less competition for me..." He mumbles.

"Gertruda. Yes. For all of her life, Mary kept her locked in the house, for, as long as anyone can remember, the Vampyr has tormented this town. Gertruda is an innocent girl, full of wonder, but naive. One night she ran away. We haven't seen her since. We just assumed the worst. That's when Mary went mad. Some say her cries draw HIS attention."
Martha perks up from thoughtful to a tad surprised, “Oh well, I’m a surface drow. We typically live underground, but my family have always lived on the surface... do you not have drow here? Actually... I haven’t seen any elves, aside from my traveling partners, since I’ve gotten here now that I think about it.”

"Interesting. No, I have never met your kind before. All Barovians are humans. The mist prevents anyone from leaving this land. It's a spell that HE has placed - anyone who tries to leave chokes and dies. I have never left this land. I have no idea what lies beyond the gates of Barovia. It is my dream to one day find out. I would like to know what it's like to feel a summer day, or to explore where the shore meets the sea..."
Bors attends the burial with interest and assists when he can. As the group leaves town, he approaches Ireena. "Milady, you have my sword, for I feel I was sent here to accomplish some task, tho I know not what. Did I hear you correctly last night? Did you say the vampyr bites you in your sleep?"
”Yes, he has bitten me twice, for some unknown reason, while I sleep..” Ireena explains as you all travel west towards Castle Ravenloft. “Luckily, nothing more has come out of it except when my father died the attacks on my house stopped.”
Grishkar's face splits a wicked smile, almost disturbing on the ruined half of his face. "Creatures of death and darkness work in a myriad of cunning and unforseen plots. You say you were bitten twice in your sleep. How did you say your father died again? The attacks stopped once he was deceased, yes? While I don't know a method for myself, I'm sure someone more versed in death could stage a death to look 'natural'." Grishkar slinks to the fringes of the party with his minions to let the words sink in.
"Guard me," Grishkar is heard saying, "A rabid wolf is not known until it turns on the pack."
(If I just spoiled the movie, I apologize. That was not me metagaming, just trying to play Grishkar in the "How would I kill someone" character)

Ireena eyes Grishkar very carefully, not answering. She becons to the road that continues west.
“That reminds me, have either of you heard of a girl named Gertruda?”
