One thought for another future campaign would be "origin stories" for those that wanted to continue with me as a DM - for those that survived =P Just one idea.
OOC: Oh? What would that entail?

OOC: I'm curious too. Origins like in our character's origins or something else.
OOC: “Wow! What a nice castle! Hello, sir, who are you?” “Prince Strahd von Zarovich, a pleasure to meet you.” “... oook... hi... mister... eh heh heh...”

Basically it would be a campaign about how you (or whoever wanted to play) became adventurers. Literally every campaign i've ever played or DM'ed involved the PCs as adventurers, but so little about what did you did BEFORE you became an adventurer. So the thought crossed my mind: All of you are not native to this plane. What is the story of your life before you became an adventurer AND what was your story before you started this campaign. What was your life like up until you arrived in Barovia. So Martha at level 0, or Briella at level 0, for example.
OOC > I love the kernel of this idea. I think it would be difficult to do, as a group, with these characters (come watch Kia as she grows up a lost kitten in a monastery!) since they would never interact.
That said, I think it would be a lot of fun to start a bunch of characters at level 0 who already know each other, from the same village or whatever. Class-less, weak, maybe at level 0 they get a limited point-buy, and upon leaving level 0 they get the rest of the point buy? I would be all over that.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
OOC: Another proposal I had in to Crispy earlier would be to complete some "one-shots", where we all build an extremely high level character (say, level 20), and go up against literal Gods like Tiamat or Tharizdun or a tarrasque. Basically a cage-match.
OOC:Another thing we could do is play as alternate universe versions of our characters. Like instead of being a kind, helpful cleric maybe Briella's a cold, withdrawn ranger who's only trusted companion is her pet wolf. Or she could switch with Grishkar and be a happy go lucky cultist who heals others because "Damnit you can't kill them, I'M gonna kill them." Heals out of spite.

But i like the idea of some new characters.
That's a pretty good idea, actually. I'd explore it for sure. Alternate reality campaigns are always fun.
(Did that idea on a recent forum PBP called "High Level Fights". Everyone lvl 20, optimized to fight instead of built from lvl 1. It was great, but since characters were optimized and fights occurred in a small scenario bubble, even godlike bosses were a pushover.)

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero

Exactly why i'd have to think about it to make it challenging.
OOC > An idea for the high-level fight concept, pushing these characters to level 20 and reuniting them for one big fight might be fun. You know, if they survive. :) And I'm happy to take this to the DM thread if we want to pull it out of the game thread...

If you guys want to stick around for the next adventure, feel free to send me ideas for the next campaign in PM, and I will entertain each and every idea - and pick one.

(Two words: Mass Combat. I rolled tank with a melee-/Mid-range cleric. Holy Aura, Protection Fighting Style, and Battlemaster fighter severely inhibited enemy ability to hit without disadvantage. Ranged support was a God Wizard (total battlefield controller/manipulator) and an Eldritch Knight Archer. Oh, and the ranged attackers had flying items. The only way we could've been beat was by having to contend with attacks on every front simultaneously while having magic nullified.)

Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
Oh yeah, huh. That's another idea. I would need to re-think that idea to make it a challenge. Or more challenging.

Ooc: I'm game. Btw, your last post shows Jhezryn at full health, we'd done a number on him. I'm at work on mobile, hopefully not to sloppy .
Bors squares up with Taevia:
Bonus action: cast divine favor
Attack 1: 18 for 15
Attack 2: 9 for 9
Magic slash + radiant

Thanks for pointing that out. I cut and pasted the wrong stats because i'm ******** LOL.
Jhezryn(21)22, Martha21, Imryll18, Zaedra(43)17, Taevia(30)10, Grishkar10, Kia8, Shy3, Bors0
Ok new round. DING DING. The vampires heal a bit, which i've accounted for in the new order block.
Jhezryn attempts to grapple Imryll: 21, you'll have to make a STR (Athletics) or DEX (Acrobatics) save to resist.
Martha.

Yes
Alright, Reckless Attacks on the vampire engaged with me. Martha spins her glaive wildly around herself, Attack 1: 25 Damage: 16 slashing + 7 radiant damage. Attack 2: 21 Damage: 10 slashing.
OOC: Oh also Crispy, only the vampires that didn’t take radiant damage regenerated, right? Just wanted to make sure.
