“More heads couldn’t hurt” Baedor replies. He then thinks about his comment for a second and adds “But I suppose our murderer may have similar thoughts…”
“I suspect a tall fellow… it’s tough for us shorter stature types to decapitate the unwilling. Which most are,” Baedor says grimly. “In truth, I’ve just begun sniffing around this business… I’m afraid I’ve not much but the fact that it’s been happening around the docks…”
(Not really, mostly just elves and half elves being killed. Mostly when they are coming back from bars and such and late at night. It is still early evening right now so you have some time to scope out the area)
Jeremiah scratches his head absent-mindedly, his mind leaping around the problem. ‘I think we need to find out precisely where they died, and their routes, where they started to see if the watch missed any clues. Maybe find out more about the victims too, see if there’s anything else in common between them? Do you know where the nearest watch outpost is?’
At that moment, a half elf clad in chain mail, carrying a shield and a battle axe walks around the corner. "Ho there! Baedor is that you?" He walks up closer to you, you see there is a symbol of a gauntlet on his shield. "Who is this? Are you ok?" He is on guard, looking nervous as he rounds the corner, but relaxing somewhat when he observes their manner. He turns to Jeremiah and Guardian and says "My name is Olaerys." he turns to Baedor and says "Are they ok? Remember, they told us to stay together! Teams of two. I want to keep my head on my neck, personally." He looks around at the surroundings nervously. "Have you found anything? Any clues?"

“We’ll you do need to worry, what with keeping your neck so high. Just the right height for an axe swing, I’d think…” Baedor chirps back at his companion.
“These two seem alright enough,” he answers. “Can’t say I’m thinking the decapitator is a kid. From what they say they’re curious about the killings as well…”
"Sounds good. Let us help. We were trying to do the same thing. Which direction were you going?" Olaerys poses with his shield and his arms flexed just so, accentuating his muscles. He takes a few practice swings with his battle-axe, trying to show his prowess and value, a little self conscious.

You all have heard that the victims were out for a night on the town before being killed. There are some bars in the area. Baedor and Olaerys, you both have investigated around a couple of them, the nearest being Muleskull tavern. Guardian, you don't notice it but Jeremiah, you see around Muleskull Tavern, a large number of dark alleys and good ambush sights. You also notice a number of half-elven sailors drinking there.
‘This seems a likely spot for a misk..’ he pauses, as though listening, and corrects himself ‘miscreant to be hiding out in.’ his youth is showing a little now, and he’s grinning with excitement. ‘So how do we draw out the killer? I could disguise myself as a half-elf…’
Olaerys smiles and says "You know Jeremiah, I didn't want to suggest it until you said it, but I think that might be a great idea. We could hide and get into position, you could walk out like an easy target and when the culprit tries to grab you, we will jump on them. How should we do this? Where would be a good spot?"

Olaerys smiled to himself as he observed the protective behavior of Guardian to Jeremiah. “You are aptly named, aren’t you?” he says to himself. “Ok, ok, I agree there is some risk. We will be waiting and watching, ready to swoop in if there is any trouble. If only we had someone sneaky perhaps to tail you as well when you come out of the tavern, someone who doesn’t look like us” he points towards himself and Baedor, “or....you” he points to Guardian. “We stick out like sore thumbs. We need someone stealthy....”

"It's settled then, do you have any leads?" Guardian asks.

'A kid?!' splutters Jeremiah, plumping his chest up and standing as tall as he can (Not tall - 4'8"!)

“Yes, a kid,” Baedor answers. “Even if capable and skilled and powerful as a mad mage in a moatless tower, age is age. And your age is kid.”

"You can disguise yourself as a half-elf?" Baedor asks Jeremiah. "Could you disguise someone else instead?"
"No insult to the kid," Baedor says to the others. "But he's probably not the one best suited to act naturally in a tavern..."
