You notice the same person through the house window, but they seem to notice you almost immediately. You see them yelling, but what they're saying is too muffled to hear. Shortly after, three guards appear from the back of the house, running towards you.

Polly will dart to Halfast and grab his arm as they both run from the guards. If they can run faster, excellent -- she'll try to lose them in the streets. If not, she'll dimension door herself and Halfast 500 feet, several blocks away and out of sight to lose the guards.
Knowing an operation going bust as well as the next guy. Tuner will first tag along with with Polly and Halfast and say: "Lose the tail and let's reconvene in the local tavern before leading guards to places we don't want them to go" (which of the shops would the tavern/inn most likely be?). Then he darts off in another direction, trying to lose the following guards. First without magical help and just darting in and out of alleys. If that isn't working he will either disguise self if he sees an alley where he think that's viable, if there is no plausible way to do that will also resort to dimension door.
When he has lost his tail he will sit down for an ale in the tavern looking like the same commoner when he met the party for the first time. Waiting for the others to show up. Might no one show up, after a little less than an hour (the duration of disguise self) he would walk out and start off in the direction of the princess, if people do show up he would press the need to "debrief" on what just happened.

You were able to lose them thanks to the dimension door. You now find yourselves within Bahamut Fields. All there that can be seen are grassy hills. The town cannot be seen anywhere in sight.
(Dimension door moves you 500 feet at the most - I’d assume the teleportation happens still well within the town, and if not and they are in a field, then they are still within range of seeing the town? Unless magic went wonky here and the spell moved them quite far away!)

(It actually depends on where you teleported, if you teleported north or south, then you'd be out of the town's range. And Bahamut Fields is filled with hills, so they could obstruct the view of the town)
Mason will take a quick detour over to The Bubbling Pot and walk in to see what might be available. He enters.
The Bubbling Pot is a dimly lit shop with several damaged shelves stacked with potions on your left, and two tables filled with magic items to your right. In the middle of the store is an iron cauldron filled with a glowing red liquid.

Okay, we'll Calvinball this!
Polly drops her dragonborn disguise for her normal villager appearance, looks at Halfast in confusion, and says, "usually when I do that, I arrive exactly where I wanted, but I guess this took us elsewhere."She darts to the top of the nearest hill and looks around for the town. Assuming she sees it, she beckons him to follow. "So that wasn't perfect, but I suspect we've lost the guards. Let's head back to the shops, maybe they've purchased the forgery kit."She walks back to town and beelines for the shops, and joins the others at the Bubbling Pot.

Mason walk over the two tables on the right and begins to examine the its laid out. While looking at the items the glowing red liquid gets his attention and he say out load "What in the world is this!?"
You don't get a response for a long time, but then a gruffly female voice echoes through the store "That's healing potion, don't drink it, because it will only hurt you." it goes silent for a moment "What are you looking for" just as the voice finishes its sentence, the halfling and shapechanging woman from earlier enter the store.
"Hello! What are we looking for? Well, I think, perhaps, this fellow here, a long-lost but new friend. Also, what is it you have for sale here?"Polly says, looking at the table of items.
Mason is startled but regains his composure and says "Hello, just checking what might be available for $115 gold pieces. I would love to find something simple but useful. I've heard of a cloak that can help keep me safe or a simple magic wand that can improve my spell casting." He looks thought fully at the table waiting for descriptions of the items laid out.
"Oh and a friend of mine had a shield made by a skilled magic craftsmen that gave added protection from attacks. That would be awesome as well.
Mason looks at Polly, "I never know what to expect when you are around with those disguise skills of yours. I'm learning what is available here from this fine lady" He smiles at the gruff looking female.

Do you have any of these kinds of items?
The voice answers back "Those items may be somewhere in that pile, you may have to do some digging though." (Make a perception check)
Mason helps Polly search (advantage that she took) He pulls a few things that look promising from the pile and examines them while Polly examines her items.

You were able to find a cloak that matched Mason's description, however, you find no wand of his description, nor a single shield. "Place your items on the counter." The voice says, coincidentally after you found what you needed.
Mason, places his cloak on the counter and pull out his pieces of Gold "So how much do I owe you for this fine garment?" He is trying to figure out if the gruff looking women spoke to him or if it came from somewhere else. He looks around.

"Oh no."
I have a weird sense of humor.

Polly perception: 15 (and a separate advantage roll if she's helping Mason): 14
The warlock nods, through her disguise, grinning.
She's looking for any magical sword that might be overlooked in a corner, in addition to the types of items Mason listed off...
