Slink follows Oricoril as Sofia and Debauchery are checking out the dumb waiter. She sticks her head in the door and sees him by the cabinets. "Find anything?" she asks as she wanders towards him, looking around the room. Guess they have a thing for wolves...she thinks to herself and stays well away from the stuffed creatures. Noticing the wine she goes over to see if it's open.
The dumbwaiter goes up to what appears to be servants quarters. The undecorated bedroom (area 7A) contains a pair of beds with straw-stuffed mattresses. At the foot of each bed is an empty footlocker.
Sensing nothing through Zoomi, she recalled him to his pocket dimension as she returned to her own body. Then flicking her wrist quickly in a circle, she conjured a puff of smoke in front of her from which Zoomi dropped gently back into her arms. "We didn't find anything strange up there. Just a couple of beds and empty footlockers." Placing Zoomi back in his traveling bag, she turned to the tiefling and added, "I guess we should join the others then. Maybe they had more luck."

Oricoril will look over after shuffling through the cabinets.. "Are you good with locks? This might have something of interest...and yes a thing for wolves and creepy things. It doesn't seem to be a home fit for growing children, but who am I to judge" He'll shrug his shoulders and if he notices Slink checking the bottle of wine, he'll smile slightly amused.
Slink looks up from the wine cask at Oricoril's question. "I've...opened a lock or two, always willing to try." She heads over to the cabinet and after examining the lock she pulls a small leather roll from her pouch. She unrolls it part way in her hand and choses two slim, metal tools. She rerolls the kit and stashes it back in her pouch. Taking a deep breath and letting it out she inserts the tools into the lock. "Come on baby, open up for me" she says under her breath.
Keeping his eyes on the stairs, Felix follows Oricoril. "Tis passing strange that we have seen nor heard anything. There is also a suspicious lack of a way to go down. I had hoped this room would contain it but it appears we must go up before we go down." Felix walks over to the table and looks at the goblets and the wine. (Investigation? 15, he is trying to see if they were used recently.) He then passes his gaze over the room as it settles on the wolves. "Once we meet the parents I shall need to impart some advice on decorating." He lightly kicks one of the wolves in disgust.
"Well"...looking back at Oricoril..."you'll be happy to know the parents keep the weapons locked up." Slink steps back to let the others see and returns her tools to her kit.
Oricoril will pause for a moment. Thinking to himself as he tries to find reason for what they've gathered so far. "Strange, there's a monster or creature in this house and the children were able to escape, but no signs of struggle or attempt to get these weapons? What do you think? I could be overthinking things but... perhaps it's time for us to move onward." He'll suggest as he scratches his head, trying to put two and two together.
Debauchery enters behind, catching the last part of the conversation about weapons. He looks over the crossbows, grimacing as he shifts the quiver and bow on his shoulder. "Nah, I wouldn't be trading you for those, my sweet," he says. "We've been through too much together." He nods to Oricoril. "Strange indeed, but should we be surprised. This whole land is strange." Looking about a bit more, he offers, "Perhaps the struggle is in the basement...if we can ever find out how to get there."

"It seems we've seen all there is to see on this first level. Shall we continue up the stairs?" Sofia commented before heading in that direction. Before ascending, she quickly paused to examine the stairwell before continuing up when she found nothing amiss.
Unlit oil lamps are mounted on the walls of this elegant hall. Hanging above the mantelpiece is a wood-framed portrait of a family: A father and mother with their two smiling children, Rose and Thorn - the children you met outside. Cradled in the father’s arms is a swaddled baby, which the mother regards with a hint of scorn.
Standing suits of armor flank wooden doors in the east and west walls. Each suit of armor clutches a spear and has a visored helm shaped like a wolf’s head. The doors are carved with dancing youths. DC 12 Wisdom (Perception) check reveals:
...that the youths aren’t really dancing but fighting off swarms of bats.
The red marble staircase that started on the first floor continues its upward spiral higher to the next level. A cold draft can be felt coming down the steps.

Felix: The wine glasses have NOT been used. At least, not that you can tell.

Reaching the landing, Sofia was immediately drawn to the photo of the (mostly) happy family.
That is an odd look for a mother to have for your family portrait, Zoomi boomed in her head, his small weasel head poking out of his carrying case
Hmm, perhaps the child is not hers? You know how the rich can be. Sofia she mused.
I believe that is more your department Sofia. Or at least it was... he replied back.
Ignoring the retort, she scanned the landing for anything unusual before heading to room 10 (though she'll stop if she spots something)
