Jenaer> The hot steaming offal makes a zipping sound as it falls, unfortunately that fall passes the airbag entirely, though it does hit an orc currently suspended above the ground and struggling to free itself from Sky's ropes. Worse yet, he looked up at the sound... and didn't close his mouth.
Laitraxa> The blue man and the red-haired dwarf are halfway up the rope. Their movement is lethargic, but precise. It's still not clear how many others the pile of rags in the cage contains, but it's suspended securely now.
Theena> The other woman says something in orcish, but all you can tell is that is't a worried question. The Sky responds to Theena, "Then it is decided." You feel the ship shift it's tension, bracing it's weight and pumping more air into the damaged airbag. If it continues to move straight up as it's doing, one ship or the other will need to adjust to avoid a collision. "You will convince the orcs to stay onboard, and I will use them as fuel until we reach our destination. There, you will seek our new crew, and tend to your business among the dwarves."
The wagons are now either mid-flight, or their owners are trying to retrieve people so that they can be.
Eclipse> You can see the cauldron missed, and the Hungry sky will clip the side of the Reaver's Word if it keeps rising at it's current trajectory. It's picking up speed.
"BLAST IT," Eclipse exclaims seeing the cauldron's minimal effect on the ship. "Laitraxa, Jenaer, Dru-zard?! --we cannot defeat that cursed ship! If you have any ideas, now is the time!" Eclipse is steering the Word out of the way of the Hungry Sky while eying his own rigging. Are there any ropes he can use to swing on to the Hungry Sky's gunwale if the Pixie comes out?
Seeing the ship in its climb, she roars at Eclipse. "Get these people up the line! I have an idea. You better come get me!"
She takes a running dive off the cage, flaring her wings at the last moment as her trajectory hits a nadir ten to fifteen feet above the Hungry Sky. Still focused on the aspect of Copper, the traces of that noble lineage in her blood, she stirs her draconic ember into a fury and releases a gout of acid into the top of the hostile airship, spraying as much of the drop-hopper and surrounding airbag with sticky green acid.
Bonus - Cast Dragon's Breath (acid)
Action - Breathe Dragon's Breath 14(15 foot cone, so should cover like 225 square feet of gas bag and drop hopper...)
She uses her momentum to climb as far up as she can, but knows she'll likely be grounded before long. And if that ship is truly sentient, it will probably be angry.
"Of course. I'll do that right now." Theen lied. "Can you open the door, we're still trapped in here. And how exactly do you use them as 'fuel'" Theena asked the ship, trying to learn anything that could potentially be it's weakness or downfall.
Eclipse> You now have the time you need to get to the other deck if you like. The first to captives are on the Word's deck.
Laitraxia> The top of the balloon opens like a blooming flower under your acid. The ship falls to the ground and releases those on deck.
Theena> A dozen voices screech out of sync and the ship falls. As the door flies open, the ship's voice has changed now, climbing up the back of your mind like a desperate creeping vine. "Our.... situation changes." The orcish woman disappears up the stairs immediately. "They have clipped my wings. Negotiate a truce. Promise them anything. I will deliver. I can build dreams when pressed."
Jenaer> Loading it takes an action, but this might be the end of combat.
The orcs on deck jump or fall off, fleeing with the rest of their wagons.
Ow... What was that?... Theena thought to herself as she slowly pushed herself back to her feet. When she heard the desperation in the ship's voice, she quickly surmised that the other ship must've done something to damage this one. Continuing to play along, she nodded - can it even tell that I just acknowledged? she wondered to herself - and made her way out of the cabin and back onto the main deck.
Out of the cabin, she made her way to the railing, and using her pole of collapsing, lifted herself to stand on top of the rail searching the Mawn on the other ship. "Mawn! We must speak at once!!" she shouted as loud as her little voice would allow in a faux-formal tone, keeping up the charade a little bit longer.
Eclipse is on the far side of the fo'castle from the Sky, helping prisoners up when he hears Theena. "Lizard woman! Can you help?"he shouts to Druaz, and if she'll assist with prisoners, he moves to the gunwale in answer to the Pixie's call. "I am Eclipse Faraway, Pixie! What must we speak about at once?!"
Druaz assists pulling people up. "Is the ship-thing dead?"
Pulling back her hood, the red-haired dwarven woman seems to be studying Eclipse, while the blue man watches her face. In a few moments the rest of the slaves are on the deck.
On the Sky the orcs are being prevented from leaving by the ropes, but they seem to understand the ship isn't actually fighting them anymore.

Can you help?"he shouts to Druaz, and if she'll assist with prisoners, he moves to the gunwale in answer to the Pixie's call. "I am Eclipse Faraway, Pixie! What must we speak about at once?!"
Here goes... Theena thought to herself before beginning. "I am Theena Arveene from the Gallow Glens. I am speaking on behalf of the ship 'The Hungry Sky'. The ship now wishes for peace and would like to broker a truce between our two groups..." as she began, she started to use the Mawn Double Speak - a mixture of laced words and gestures - used by her Mawn cohorts to secretly send messages to each other when in the company of others, hoping the captain would be able to decipher her true intentions. "...in the form of a ceasefire." (Hidden code: The ship trusts me.) "The Sky has offered to help each of you aboard the other ship..." (Hidden code: The ship uses people as "fuel".) "...accomplish whatever goals you wish to achieve..." (Hidden code: The ship is grounded, weakened desperate.) "He has a strange power and promises miracles;..." (Hidden code: He has a strange power but will devour you if given the chance.) "...I've seen it myself." (Hidden code: It "ate" half our crew). "What say you?" (Hidden code: How do you want to proceed)
(Note, she's using Thieves' Cant but thinks it's something specific to Mawn)
Eclipse has never actually used Thieves Cant before, although he's memorized many pages of vocabulary he found over several months in an old archive he sometimes hung out in to meet women. Oh yes-- Izidor la Manche... ('Focus, Eclipe!'). He pauses for a moment, running his hand over his furred brow, then replies to Theena, "Well met, Theena Arveene from Gallow Glens,"and in an 'accented' Thieves Cant, (Hidden code: I would like nothing batter then to burn that sheep to the grown.) "So long as we are not under attack, I am certainly willing to parlez." (Hidden code: 'Blast it, I can't say two things at once' ...Why don't you goat off the sheep and leaf it to dye?)
He turns to look carefully at the prisoners eying him so carefully. Does he have anything to worry about here?
Laitraxa sails back around, catching some of the lower ship rigging of the Reaver's Word with her claws to arrest her flight. Folding up her wings tightly, the young dragon climbs aboard, a huge grin on her serpentine face. "And that... Is why we dragons rule the sky!" She beams to Janear and Druaz, flaring her wings out briefly in a flourish.
Looking over to Eclipse, she sees the mawn gesturing strangely. A curious head pokes over the railing to catch eyes on the small pixie back on the hostile ship. Wisps of acrid smoke still trail from her nostrils, the smell of hydrogen chloride filling the air near her. She says in a low grumble to Eclipse, "Need me to finish the job? I have about a half minute of spark left before I will have to release my hold on this energy."
Jenaer comes up from the cauldron, looking like an excited child. “Did you see? I got one of them right in the mouth! That ship sure was unusual, I’m not sure if a ship can truly die, so who knows. We seem safe for now though. Shall we land and clean up the bodies, i would quite like a memento of our adventure.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On the Insight check; No one seems dangerous. Most of them are groggy and sluggish. The blue man seems to just want things to resolve and calm down. The dwarven woman is studying Eclipse closely, but in an unguarded way.
You notice her look say to the blue man, "Noticus, he's a Mawn..."
He shrugs, "I did, in fact, notice that. So?"
"He's the captain..."
"And?"
"Did you not notice the name of the ship?"
"I don't follow."
"The oracle said, 'On the word of a Mawn..."

Laitraxa will be prepared to leap for a final acidic strafing run, feeling the fury begin to subside as the magic runs it's course. She looks at Eclipse."Well?"
OOC Not sure how much time Ihave left on the spell. Bunnni?

"That is great to hear!" Theena continued enthusiastically, in part to keep the ruse going and partially because her secret message was actually received (Hidden Code: I think that would be unwise). "Let me know if there is anything you desire..." (Hidden Code: It'll rampage like a dying animal if it feels threatened; and kill the captives.) "...and I will relay that to the Sky." Jenear> Target Acquired. Roll it when you can get to it.

There are, but that's still a sizable 3-story drop after that. Plus, there's not a lot of clearance between the bag and where you would land.

Refilling the cauldron, he gives it one last go, waiting till more orcs are below so it won’t be wasted if it does miss. 16
