Sigrún jogs up behind Patrin to watch his back while he casts over the bodies. Once the halfling is finished she stoops in the snow beside the bodies curiously looking them over for anything that might be useful to her or her companions, These fallen folk now being dead no longer require.
"They'll aid us in death even now Patrin," Sigrún says with a somber expression looking them over.
She looks for weapons, armor, coin, and or other valuables. Nature gives and nature takes, today looks like a giving day.
Investigation: 5 woth Patrin's help {please} 4
OOC: Yup, seems about my rolls lately! Anyone else want to try?
“But no living man am I! You look upon a woman...You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
Patrin reaches out to stop Sigrún as she searches. (OOC: I think that’s reflective of the ‘help’!)
‘I don’t think they’ll be able to tell us much, Sigrún. Best let them rest now, wrapped in their cloaks. We’ll collect their bodies later, when we have avenged them..’
He reaches down to close their eyes, leaving them at peace as best he can.
"They won't need what they have little man where they go they walk with nothing," Sigrún replies. "What they leave behind could be what keeps you alive out here in the wilds," she adds curtly standing up and leaning on her spear looking around at the nearby landscape.
Perpection: 8
OOC: If people don't want to give the help action that's totally fine. I'll ask for a general help in future but asking and waiting always seems to take up too much time.

Sigrún does not find much on the bodies of great use. Each one of them was wearing studded leather armor, but it is now tattered and full of holes. They each have a sheath for a sword, but their weapons are nowhere to be found.
Aslaug steps back from the bodies as Patrin moves forward, doing something to create a light over the bodies. The old stories must be true, she thought in awe. She knew about her own ‘knacks’ but she had never truly seen magic before. But the stories of the old days mentioned it frequently.
After stepping back, she took a moment to inspect her wounds and bind them up. She particular paid attention to make sure that she had not caught whatever had brought them back to life. Medicine: 9 with bardic inspiration 6
(OOC: Happy to help on request - just RPing the roll of the ‘help’ being even lower than your original roll 😂)
Patrin stands, brushing off the dirt from his clothes. He speaks quietly to Sigrún.
’You’re right of course, Sigrún, who they were is no longer here, but I worry about the morale of Lile and Thorgren too.. These people must have been their friends, or comrades at least.’
He looks over to Aslaug, recalling her injuries. ‘Were you injured badly? I might be able to help if so..?’
"Damned idiot. They are not supposed to move that quickly," Aslaug muttered under her breath as she inspected the wounds."Powerful too. He may have cracked a rib."She turned to Patrin."I can walk fine. I am not going to slow anyone down, but I am going to feel that one for a while."

After the others are done setting the bodies to rest and move away, Fenwick moves closer to take one last look at them. He ponders what he's heard of witches and what the black veined affliction might be.
OOC: Apologies, RiderofRohan86, I totally glossed over that roll.
Sigrún, as you survey the landscape, you see little beyond the sparse trees that dot the land, and the melting snow that muddies the road. You do not see any other threats, or much of anything, beyond the rolling, snow-capped hills that surround you.
As Aslaug finishes her inspection and binding of the wound she utters a prayer to Dura, calling on her for strength throughout the coming journey. As she does so, Aslaug feels warmth radiate throughout her and the pain seems to ease. (Cure Wounds: 9)
Aslaug, you do not seem to have caught anything from this wound. The creature, though powerful, did not tear any flesh.
Fenwick, you seem to recall something about dark magics being able to create a necromantic venom that would re-animate its victims after a period of time as zombies. You don't recall the name of this venom, nor how it is created, as that is not your area of expertise, but it does ring a bell.
(Sorry, I'm posting at work so I tried to make it quick, and instead I just glossed over a bunch of rolls!)

Fenwick follows behind most of the others as the group gets ready to move on, remarking "oh my, that was the most terrifying of experiences." "It does get the blood flowing though, doesn't it?Still this may be unwise... hmmm....." He trails off while mumbling to himself "perhaps we shouldn't be doing this..."
"That was a nasty bit of necromancy" he remarks, seemingly mostly talking to himself. "Perhaps a bit more protection." Fenwick casts Mage Armor
Soon Hemming returns from a brief scout, reporting nothing too threatening, then reluctantly return to the skies to scout ahead by a mile or so before returning again. Owl perception once the party is moving again:21
