Blossom, who had been listening to the conversation attentively, slowly climbs to his feet and shuts his eyes, standing in the middle of the camp. His ears twitch involuntarily as he waits for something to happen.
After the fires are doused you hear multiple footsteps among the trees. Blossom is the first to pinpoint their source. Hundreds of zombies are walking along a dry riverbed that runs close to the camp.
Most of the horde moves unaware of the encampment. Archer over the trees are quietly dispatching the few that stray towards the tents. As Luther climbs the nearest tree he spots a few undead that have detached from the main force and that the archers have not spotted yet, coming directly to your position.
OOC: there is time for Zephira to cast guidance on someone.
Zephyra reaches over and touches Thariv gently casting guidance for his next skill roll then grasps her quarterstaff learning from the last battle that 'sharp' is not as effective as blunt and turns in the direction the others face keeping alert to her surroundings.
Can she get an idea of where those hundreds of zombies are headed?
Seeing the leaves on the branch of tree Luther has climbed to shiver slightly at his flinch, she looks quickly to Luther for what he sees then notices Ufeza staring in his direction but at him, not around him. She wonders at this, but will sort it out later, returning her attention to the incoming zombie potential.
Thariv nods at Zephyra's touch, feeling a hint of helpful magic wash over him. He proceeds to follow in Luther's footsteps, getting close to the same general area but choosing a different tree. He climbs up, trying to use the skills he learned on the masts and lines of many a sailing ship, so that he can get a bead on the enemy.
"Hold for a second, let me check with the rest." Ufeza says firing off another Message to Luther as he quickly shuffles over to Zephyra (and potentially Blossom? Not sure where the big guy is right now) and whispers, "Luther has eyes on a large number of zombies. Most are passing past us, but a small group is coming right at us. He's asked if he should begin firing. Perhaps we should be patient, making sure they are far enough from the rest so our fight will not be heard. We may even be able to set an ambush."
He then looks around for Thariv to give him a head's up as well via Message.

13 Stealth to not be seen by zombies, not sure how far from us they are.
Zephyra agrees to wait until they are further(farther?) from the horde so not to trigger the whole lot, but will join in if 'Nanny' starts any sort of attack.

The main horde is following a dried riverbed that would intersect the path you have been following just a few hundred feet across the elven campsite. the few that Luther saw from atop his tree are going in the same direction, but started somewhere else and are going to pass through your position in a few moments.

If possible and before battle begins, Zephyra shifts into a Grey Wolf, coat color matching her silver hair warning the others before she does so that she's the wolf. If she is unable to do so before battle, she will do as an action on her turn.
OOC: the horde is passing next to the camp, only the four zombies that Luther spotted are coming to your position. There is time for Zephyra to shapeshift before the fight starts.

Ufeza gives a quick look at his companions to see they are ready, then tries to take down a zombie as quiet as possible. He crouched and lightly drums a beat on his legs, mutter a jarring, grating melody under his breath as he feels the magic channel through him and shooting towards the nearest zombie.

Wolf-Zephyra hesitates slightly charging in with Blossom for an attack. Leaping at another Zombie if within 5' of Blossom, otherwise same.

Alternate Zombie preferred but only if within 5' so she doesn't lose Pack Tactics advantage. Hopefully their low strength will help in giving them a negative to their save roll.

An arrow from Luther pirces a zombie, Blossom and Zephyra quickly gang up on it (Undead fortitude save: 8) and take it out of combat. A second zombie takes a hit from Thariv's eldritch blast, but shambles its way back to Zephyra. Attack: 7 Damage: 6
Another limps to Blossom and tries to hit. Attack: 17 Damage: 4
The last zombie flees as fast as it can from something only it can hear. It tries to find its way back, but is unable to go all the way.

Luther flinches as Ufeza's voice appears in his head, then steadies himself - his mother told him about this low-level messaging spell.
"Lots of zombies, most going wide but a small group is heading right for us. Want me to engage?"
He draws his bow and takes aim, not wanting to start a fight without orders unless there is obvious danger.
