Ufeza stops and thinks for a second, "Hmmm, that's a good point. I'll grab one, Blossoms maybe you can get the other. Let's cover them, though. We really don't need a panic started by a passer-by."
He removes his cloak and covers as much of one of the zombies as possible before getting a good grip to haul it to the temple, realizing he's likely going to have to drag it along.
Thariv offers to pitch in to help drag the zombie bodies back toward the temple as best he can.
"We should quickly get back here to see if we can follow the path these zombies took,"he says. "I am no tracker, but hopefully we can follow it. They don't appear to exactly be the stealthiest of enemies."
Blossom nonchalantly slings the zombie corpse over his shoulder, and looks at Ufeza quizzically. “This town contains plants with murderous intent, and you’re worried someone will be startled by a corpse?”

"I'm worried about what startled villagers might do to us, complete strangers, suddenly connected to necromancy. We are far more likely to be blamed for their problems than hailed as heroes. Our imprisonment or death follows shortly after..." Ufeza says as they are walking.
Luther finds no markings in the zombie corpses. By the decayed state of their clothes you can tell they were buried at least a few months ago.
Since the temple is just next to the graveyard, Ufeza's message reaches Lehkraskol easily "what kind of evil could have caused this?" she replies. The rain is keeping most people indoors today and there is no one visible around to notice you taking the corpses into the temple.
The dragonborn priest has the door open and is waiting for you to enter and points to a small chamber next to the entrance "leave the undead in here, I'll have to perform a cleansing rite before we can bury them properly." Seeing that one was a child, she gasps and takes a handkerchief to wipe her eyes "that is Dadric's child, Millie. I don't understand what is going around here."
Zephyra lays the child down in the small chamber gently, adjusting her as she does so to give her a peaceful appearing position. Then hearing the child's name asks, "Is this the child that had the cat? There was a story in town about a girl who's cat came back after supposedly being dead. Could this be the same girl?"
Then to the others, "We should investigate the forest further to see if we can determine anything else as Thariv suggested."
Ufeza nods after dragging the zombie into the side room and returning. "I agree with you both, I think it's time to look in the forest. Priest Lehkraskol, any words of wisdom or aid should we inevitably run into even more necromancy?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Where is Dadric's house please?" asks Luther of Lehkraskol "We may want to check in there as soon as we have traced the origins of these zombies".
Agreeing with his colleagues, Luther waits for an answer and then heads back out to the spot where they encountered the zombies, hoping to pick up a trail.
Zephyra has a thought, "May I?" She says leaning and looking into the pockets of the little girl. "I want to see if she has something to explain why she is in the forest." She searches the little girl quickly, in full view of the priestess and then once she hears the answers to the questions asked, rises and heads back out to the forest with the others.
Lehkraskol wipes her eyes again and replies to Zephyra "indeed, little Millie's cat passed away recently and she was most distraught by his death." Turning to Ufeza she adds "I'll pray to Kelemvor for guidance, but this is the first undead attack I have experienced in this temple." Finally to answer Luther's question, the priest gives you directions to a house a few blocks away.
She lets Zephyra search Millie's corpse. She is only carrying a lumpy rock with a smiley face scrawled on it.
Once outside, the heavy rain has made it almost impossible for Luther to find where the zombies came from. But after examining the graveyard you can tell they did not raise from these graves.
OOC: all of you gain inspiration. You can spend it to gain advantage on an attack, saving throw or ability check.
Zephyra gathers the rock, explaining to Lehkraskol, "It will serve as proof to her parents of a sort until they can appear to see her in person. If you do not object."
"With any trail washed out, perhaps we should find the girl's parents and see if there's any place she spent a lot of time, particularly if she often went into the woods. Maybe we can get a lead on who is behind this that way? Thoughts?"
"Would your people be buried anywhere outside the graveyard?" Blossom dumps his corpse with the others, and scratches a whisker with a sizeable claw, as he ponders the zombies having not come from the graveyard.
Luther nods in agreement at Ufeza's suggestion "Yes, the girl's home should be our next stop. See if she or the cat or the cat came across anything there"
Checking for any objections from the party he raises a hand in thanks to the priest and prepares to leave.
Thariv looks for a moment at the smiley face rock and feels a pang of something not all that familiar to him. He nods at Ufeza's suggestion and Luther's agreement. "I agree. Let's see if we can find anything out at the girl's home."
Zephyra raises her hood and heads for the door. "The girl's home is not too far and her parents are likely worried. Let's not give them the whole night to do so." She steps back out in the rain facing the direction given for the girl's home.

"Blossom has a point" says Luther. "This town seems to have something for every phobia"
Zephyra makes her way back to the temple quickly with the others, eager to return to check the source of the zombies.
