Thariv moves out with the others, ready to see what they can find out at the girl's house. He again looks at the sky, seeming to enjoy the stormy weather immensely.
Zephyra continues down the road a little, matching up the description given with the right place and knocks firmly but politely on the door. Stepping back slightly waiting on a response.
Luther steps back about 20ft from the door so that he can cover the group and the doorway, plus the corners of the building. He stands ready but with his bow lowered so as not to frighten anyone.
"Would your people be buried anywhere outside the graveyard?" Blossom dumps his corpse with the others, and scratches a whisker with a sizeable claw, as he ponders the zombies having not come from the graveyard.
"There are no graves other than the ones here and those in Lathander's Temple graveyard." Lehkraskol replies "may Kelemvor guide you on your way."
Dadric's home is easy to find, soon after Zephyra's knocking the door opens to reveal a tired looking woman. She is Dadric, Millie's mother. Hearing that her daughter turned into a zombie she falls to her knees crying. Silently she takes the rock from Zephyra's hand and holds it close to her heart "my poor baby girl" she sobs, "I don't know what got into her."
Stading guard outside, Luther notices a hooded figure looking at them from a couple houses away.
Zephyra hearing her last statement. "I'm so sorry to tell you. I carried her with my friends to Kelemvor's Temple so that they may see to her burial. They know we are coming to speak with you. Was she acting unusually recently? Speaking with anyone that was different from normal?"

Unsettled by the mother's grief and the memories that it starts to invoke in him, Luther is almost thankful for the distraction of seeing the hooded figure. He tries to subtly get Thariv's and Blossom's attention before slipping away to move out of the figure's sight, around in a wide arc and coming at them from behind. All the time he is trying to keep an eye on the figure.

After a few moments, Dadric gathers her wits and stands again "my dear Millie, she was was obsessed with her little Furball and something broke in her when it died under a merchant's cart. Then she started saying that Furball was alive again, I think it was another cat that just looks like him. Now she is gone..." Following Zephyra's advice, the woman goes inside and collapses in a chair, sobbing quietly.
Meanwhile, Blossom sees the stranger Luther noticed before and watches how the fighter disappears from his view behind a small cottage. Moments later, Luther grabs the hooded man from behind, twisting one of his arms and making him drop the quarterstaff he was leaning into "please don't hurt me, I know where the problem in the forest originates." He is wearing a deep brown cloak with green piping, and the left side of his face is badly bruised.
"Is there anyone that we can fetch for you to be with you? You shouldn't be alone right now." She glances about for tea or something else to soothe her. Pulling a shawl from a nearby chair and wrapping it around the woman's shoulders. "The cat. Have you seen it?" She says, looking about quickly for it in case its in the house.

Ufeza steps inside the house with Zephyra and subtly tries to aid in the search while adding, "I'm sorry if this is hard, but time is of the essence and I'm afraid we cannot give you the appropriate time to grieve. With Millie's fate, it's very possible the cat she found actually was Furball and could lead us to whoever around here is messing with Necromancy. It's important we know where it is and where Millie was finding it."
As Blossom sees Luther move in to apprehend the man, he springs across the ground towards the pair, with more acceleration than his large frame would suggest. He draws up as the man finishes speaking. "Who's this then?", he growls.
Luther pulls the man's hood off and keeps hold of him. To Blossom he says "No idea yet, but I have a real good feeling he's about to tell us"
He gives the man a little shake to make it clear that he is now part of the conversation "We'll take your name now please, friend. Tell me about this problem in the forest. And where did these bruises come from?"

Thariv joins Luther and Blossom in their interrogation of the newcomer. He stands beside them, staring menacingly as the rain keeps falling. He holds up his coral in hin fingers, moving it around slowly in his fingertips.
"Tell us everything you know, now,"he says. "Time is of the essence. Do not make us...extract the information from you."
Looking inside, Ufeza and Zephyra find a cat bowl with some scraps of fish and a small cushion that used to be the cat's bed. But there is no cat, living or undead, on sight. Dadric pays no attention to your search, only talking when asked "I have not seen this new cat. Furball is dead and buried."
Outside, the man answers with a trembling voice, keeping his gaze down. "Bonewits is my name, I'm a druid and tend to the Gulthias trees as my fathers before me. We make sure they are cared for and in turn the trees protect the city." Noticing that you are paying attention, he quicly adds "there is a great tree deeper in the forest, so large that a community of Wood Elves established their dwelling underneath its roots. I have reasons to believe every tree in this forest was born from a sapling cut from that tree. In this past year something has afflicted it, its roots have darkened and receded, now there is a single entrance to the buried city beneath it. I have not seen the elves above the ground since, and have notice people from many villages going missing."
His voice breaks as he continue his tale "I've been trying to find what is causing the dead to rise, but I don't want to attract too much attention and cause panic." Lifting his head so you can see him clearly he keeps talking "The bruise you see in on my cheek is a reminder that I have to speed up my research, roots came for me as I slept, some are still buried under my face and my magical force is almost drained to keep them from growing."
Zephyra speaks calmly but firmly to her. "We are investigating what is happening in this town and to the trees. We need to leave you here and hope you will be ok? Please keep yourself busy, maybe see friends? You shouldn't be alone right now." She looks at the woman trying to encourage her to seek others. Then turns quickly and leaves the home, waiting briefly outside for Ufeza and then searching for what they were investigating.
Once she spots them, she'll rush to meet up with them. As she approaches, she notices the bruising on the figure's face and firm hold the others have on him. Wondering the state of things, but keeping silent until she can assess having missed any conversation.
Before departing, Ufeza echoes Zephyra's sentiments, "She's right, you shouldn't be alone. Find some companionship and grieve. I'm so sorry for what has happened."
He respectfully bows his head before departing, curious as to the scene awaiting outside. He remains silent, trying to pick up on what's going on.
Ufeza thanks Lehkrasol, then follows Zephyra.

Blossom feigns interest in the mother's wailings, while doing his best to watch the person using his peripheral vision.

"Here, lets sit you down. May I come in?" She offers, sensing something going on behind her. Want to keep the woman away from it.

Thariv considers everything he's heard. His stern gaze has softened somewhat hearing the druid's tale of woe.
"It seems like if we are going to get to the bottom of what is happening, we must find this great tree," he says to the gathering group.
He turns back to the druid. "Do you have a map or can you make us one so we know how best to get there?"
