Briar sighs. "It seems a shame to kill so many people, but I suppose you are right Leshanna. We can't have them come after us." She turns to Lokat. "Clara is right about them not having many ranged weapons. Maybe she should use her bow on the guard. That might be safest."

Lokat lets loose a gruff hum, eyeing around the area, though he does duck down to take cover and waits for the elf's actions.

"Well, I am not for killing on sight but they are pirates and probably not well welcomed here in Baldur's gate. I guess a preemptive strike is an option."

Clara stays just long enough to see how many pirates are coming at her

 So Clara wants to sneak near the ship and take out one of the two pirates holding watch on the deck with her bow. Correct?
If so, does the remainder of the group also try to sneak close to the ship or wait in proximity and wait for Clara's signal or an alarm on the ship?

OOC: I guess so... trying to shoot from far. Clara might be able to shoot a second time before the pirate closes up on her.
Then Leshanna tries to use the ice explosion to get more targets.
Once pirate runs on us , our melee guys protect us ?

OOC: Briar will probably wait for an alarm on the ship, or a signal from Clara or Leshanna before joining them. Then she would try to stay close to both of them if they are close to each other, or Leshanna if they are far apart.

*OOC Lokat is doing as he said and just ducking low behind some barrels or something waiting for someone to get close to our ranged folks and rushing like a madman*

As one of the guards stands close to the railing, Leshanna loosens her bow. It was not a bad shot and would probably hit its mark if the railing was not there. The man on the ship winces, curses "Shit!" and scans his surroundings. He does not seem to notice Clara. The second man on the ship comes to the first. "What WAS that?" The first man puts his index finger in front of his lips and ducks down behind the low wall of the railing. The second man mimics the action.

Quick question... Does the couple hours of watching consist of taking a short rest?

Yes, you can take a short rest during that time.

Nothing happens for a few moments. Then one of the pirates in cover yells: "We know you are out there! Look, we don't want any more trouble. Ceasefire!"

"All we are wishing is to make sure no payback is looked for." Leshanna calls out. She steps out of cover and to where the pirates can see her. "Seems like that ship there needs a new captain. I would suggest making yourself one and moving on."

Persuasion rolled in log, net was a 12.

For a few moments, you hear nervous chatter in lowered voice from the ship. Then, one of the men carefully takes a peek over the barrier. "The way this went, we want nothing more to do with Rhonda's, uhm, I mean Tarina's business. Deadeye, the one who came searching for Rho... Tarina was set upon taking his revenge. Now that the old captain is gone, we won't bother you anymore. Just give us until next dusk to get some supplies and we will be off again."

"works for me." Leshanna says with a nod. She does try to tell if they are being honest or not though...

“Agree, enough blood spilled in one night. But we will come by at after dusk to check. You better be gone by then. “ Clara adds.

Leshanna gets the impression that they are telling the truth.
They nod at Clara: "We will." They stare at you a bit uneasy, awaiting what you do next.

Briar is relieved that they were able to avoid more fighting. "I suppose we had better return to the tavern and see what Tarina knows," she says to the others. She starts walking back towards the tavern.

Clara whistles and her bees fly back to her, landing on her golden hair. After a last look at the pirates, she follows Briar.
