"Likely we will find something unhappy with our presence in either room." Sydril says, stepping up next to Tarak. "Maybe Kip could use his expertise and see if one seems better than the other?" Sydril asks with a smile, looking at the halfling.
"A good plan if the little one is willing?" Tarak comments, looking at the halfling. "I will happily stand nearby to assist should anything get upset with your investigations but my chainmail is not conducive to sneaking around so I won't try and follow you."
Tarak smirks at the hobbits comments and follows him towards Room 2. He plans to get as close as he can without actually having to enter or even make a stealth check. Just so that he can get to the halfling's side and support him quickly if needed.
Entering this granite chamber, two large capped urns flank each side of the doorway at the entrance, their stone surfaces carved with imagery of gears and springs that are painted in the hues of precious metals. Two stone pillars are spaced equally across the chamber, acting as dividers between three pairs of finely crafted chests that are in turn spaced equally around the chamber.
Entering reveals a finely appointed chamber with various instruments and objects revealing its dual role as an alchemical laboratory and personal study. Two suits of armor flank the entrance into the chamber, and two long counters filled with all manner of devices and resources run along the length of the chamber. A fine rug depicting the inner planes lies on the floor between them while a desk sits opposite the entrance, covered with books, papers, and other collected trinkets. A cauldron rests on a metal stand to the left of the desk, and an empty cage sits on the floor to the right of the desk. Hanging from the walls are five paintings. An ancient wizard is depicted in the painting above the desk, with the otherworldly paintings depicting one of the inner planes in each of the other four.
Zook ritually casts detect magic. He has to step back like the acid he dropped 5 minutes ago just kicked in. Magic permeates from much of the room, especially the clockwork column. Abjuration, conjuration and evocation stand out the most.

As Camilla walks toward the books, a humanoid skull sitting upon the desk rises into the air, alighting with fire. A booming voice announces, "Death to the defilers who dare trespass upon my master's sanctum!" Camilla would likely shriek at this, but she suddenly realizes the rug that she is treading upon...is trying to wrap around her.
Rug Attack: 18 Damage: 8 The creature is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, blinded, and at risk of suffocating, and the rug can't smother another target. In addition, at the start of each of the target's turns, the target takes13 bludgeoning damage.

Sydril sees Camilla being swallowed up in the rug, she pulls out her bow and backs up so she is about 20 ft away from her, learning her lesson from the last time. She gets ready to shoot.
"Death to the defilers who dare trespass upon my master's sanctum!" Emitting a short comical high pitched scream like Homer Simpson, Camilla then gets her ass kicked by a rug.
Geometric shapes and probabilities rush through Zook’s mind in an instant. As he sees the rug reach up his eyes flash blue.
Chronal Shift
Starting at 2nd level, you can magically exert limited control over the flow of time around a creature. As a reaction, after you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can force the creature to reroll. You make this decision after you see whether the roll succeeds or fails. The target must use the result of the second roll.
I would like the rug to reroll the attack on Camilla.
