Zook peers down the stairs to see if any others glow with the same runes.

Morrigan ascertains there is a pattern to the steps with runes. The stair after every odd number is trapped. So there is 1 safe stair, then 1 trapped stair, then 3 safe stairs, then 1 trapped stair, etc... 

"Noice!" Camilla says to Morrigan.

"So.... I guess we try to jump down?"

"Sure. Lets." Camilla will jump down with Morrigan - of course, stepping on the right steps. BUT NOT TODAY.

Zook looks dine at this meek frame.   "Hmmmm...." draws calculations with his finger in the air.  "Maybe it would be better if someone toss the gnome so to speak.   I know it's hard to believe but I am not the most athletic."

Camilla easy leaps over the trapped second step, boosting her confidence momentarily until she realizes she didn't land correctly. As she loses her footing, there is a brief moment where she looks into the camera before beginning a tumble down the stairs that is accentuated by the occasional burst of flame, utterance of foul words and quite a few screams of pain. Camilla face-plants at the bottom of the stairs amid two scorched goblin corpses. As the rest watch, a low moan comes from her body before one hand comes up with a thumb up.

Camilla takes a combination of bludgeoning and fire damage: 12

"I'm..okay!" she whimpered, face down.

Morrigan watches as she stumbles down wincing. "I guess that is what you get for killing your familiar like that." Morrigan makes sure her books is properly stored so that even if she triggers the stairs, it will remain unharmed. "My turn.... huzah... Jergal preserve us..." (Casting bless on herself and 2 others who want it from the discord.) She waits for the other two she blesses to go. Once they have gone, she takes off with a running start and leaps.

Seeing Camilla tumble down the stairs Sydril heads down to see if she is mortally injured.  When she gets there she checks her over.  "You will be fine once we get you some healing."  She says as she holds her hand. "The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain."

Morrigan's first jump is successful. Her second seems almost a ballet performance. She stumbles a bit on her third, falling short on a trapped step and suffering 3 fire damage. Slightly toasted, she lands safely at the bottom with her fire jump. Looking down at her slightly "crispy" ally.

"I guess that is what you get for killing your familiar like that." 

"Wow, thanks, that's..a helpful comment?" Camilla looks at Morrigan a little obtusely and dusting herself off as she gets up. When it came to Crispiness, Camilla was, so far, the winner.

Sydril acrobatically makes her first three jumps, but misjudges the distance on her final jump, suffering 4 bludgeoning damage as she turns her ankle trying not to land on Camilla and the goblins. 

"Hmmm....no one wants to throw a gnome today?  That's odd.  At my 3rd school that was a common past time.  Well....here goes..."

Laying face down next to Camilla also gives a thumbs up.  “I’m okay...(cough)”

In the room at the bottom of the stairs is another pool. Like pool on the level above, this one is covered with slimy green algae despite the lack of sunlight. The eastern side of the growth has been recently disturbed. Hallways lead off to the north and east. Motes of dim magical light float about the room.

At the bottom of the stairs, lie the burned, crispy bodies of 2 goblins.
