"Huh.. How long ago did the man say the Kobolds took over the mine?" Kaloruk asked, running his finger over some of the dust. He walks in further looking around for any clues.
(Ooc: is there anything that seems out of place or doesn't belong?)

Long time roleplayer and artist, I enjoy the fantasy world of dragons and magic. It only makes sense I dive into Dungeons and Dragons!
Looking forward to learning the game and making new friends. :)
"How curious. This adventure is becoming a mystery too! What could kobolds want with a mine if not for its treasure? If it is kobolds behind this... What could be lurking in the shadows? What secrets does the mine hold?" Kolurok mused, walking along the tracks.

Hrothbert listening to the conversation stops to look at the ground in the area. “Do any of you notice if there are more tracks going one way than any other?”
(Do I see any obvious signs of increased traffic?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Balasar turned to the tracks, wondering if they were all kobold in origin.
OOC: Balazar wants to do an investigation check to see if he can discern anything about the tracks themselves (originating creature/creatures, age, etc)
"Huh.. How long ago did the man say the Kobolds took over the mine?"
"Pretty sure Speaker Masthew said it was a couple of days" Hrothbert looks around quizically "Though looking around it seems a little longer doesn't it?.....Hey Balasar! You think maybe this mine is dried up and we're here as a way to increase revenue of some sort?"

Thulmar slings his greataxe on his back with a sigh of resignation. Though he favoured the big axe, he knew that his two smaller hand axes would be better suited to the possibly tight confines of the mine ahead. Gripping one tightly in each hand he follows the others down into the mine, eyes and ears straining against the black depths of the tunnel. Even his nose is on high alert, sucking in huge lungsful of air and blowing it back out through his teeth, searching for any sign of a possible threat to his new teammates.
(investigation check: 9 )
Overhearing Hrothbert’s comment to Balasar, Thulmar adds his own thoughts “Perhaps the good Speaker merely downplayed the danger in order to convince us to undertake this quest for only 50 Gold. A little underhanded maybe, but hardly sinister”.
Anya nods at Thulmar."That makes sense." She thinks about it for a moment. "But then, it doesn't seem wise to send us here unprepared because if we fail they won't get the mine back. Perhaps even speaker Masthew himself doesn't know the full extent of what's down here?"
(Is there more than one exit or is the path straight for now?)
”Well despite what Masthews intentions are we are here now, might as well continue on” Hrothbert looks at the others “ Kobolds are generally simple creatures are they not? We shouldn’t expect to many traps I mean.”
Hrothbert takes point, moving carefully, sword in hand, and watching for openings, tripwires, or pressure plates as he goes.
"Oh, the Courageous Five, they enter the mine. And they found that something was amiss. They were told kobolds, but only heaven knows what truely lays in the dark aybss."
The bard did a playful light jig on the tracks as he softly sang, hoping to keep the spirits up in this grim setting.

Hrothbert looks at the tiefling smiling “Much appreciated, but maybe wait to add to until we’re done here as it may alert those we may not want to.” Hrothbert continues on quietly humming the bards tune despite his efforts to not.
(That is other than the one we entered? Which one has more tracks through it? Investigation check? Rolled a 17 in the app earlier, can roll again if you wish)
Still humming Hrothbert moves across the opening looking for signs of traffic, “ Hmm, Did we want to split up? What do you figure the chances are that the meet up again?”
"I don't think we should. We don't know what could be down here, and if we end up having to fight it will be easier if we are all together instead of in groups of two or three"
"I agree with Anya," Balasar said, "If we are divided, we are easily conquered. And we already suspect we may be dealing with more than kobolds in this mine." Balazar looks over the passages leading out of the chamber, "I vote for following the path with the most tracks."

Balasar blows a light puff of air over the tools, blowing away the dust that had settled on them.
"These have not been used recently," he said, "Unless they brought their own tools, these kobolds did not take the mine for the gemstones within."

Balasar scratched his chin, suspecting the worst.
"Hopefully, we are not lambs for the slaughter," he spoke with a frown, "We should take great caution."

"One should always expect traps, Hrothbert. Especially if there's something the kobolds--or anyone else--wants to remain hidden."
