((I feel like maybe it’s Isaac now… if not, just slip this into the right place!…))
Captain Isaac just about finishes his one-liner about the statues needing to try harder to hit him, “…or my name’s not Captain Isaac Jeremiah Darkwarter the 3rd…”, when they do indeed seem to step it up a gear and crack him hard around the chops twice. ‘thwack, thwack!…’.
His head rings for a moment if two, “Well now that don’t seem altogether too sportsman like… Now I’m gonna have to make ye regret that!…”.
He spins and tries for a mighty blow, to the statue going toe to toe with him…
Gruntor will search trough the broken statues to see if he can find if they innards or not. He just uses his toe to move the parts around. "We still gotta find a ways throughs the doors....all this for books readings...Hrrmph!"
((Whatever animated them. Was it a spell built into them or were they animated freshly by something else in the room when we attacked the door. If the latter, where did the magic originate.))
As far as you can tell, these statues were animated a very long time ago: decades at least. The magic is ancient and very difficult to understand. They were probably given orders to attack hostiles, and something that party did led to them being considered hositle.
The door you were battering is still closed, though when you looked at it before the fight, it looked damaged. The other doors are unknown as these were not touched.
When the final statue falls, Isaac let’s out a chuckle, “H’yarr! Me hearties!… What a rip roaring battle, to be sure!… They’ll be singing about that one in the halls come the morrow, I’d wager!…”.
”This gods-forsaken place definitely wins my vote for most entertaining ‘library’ this side of the great meridian. No doubt about that! Ha harr…!”.
And with an unnecessary flourish, and a ‘shing-click!’, he relocates his cutlass back into its scabbard, keeping his dagger though, held surreptitiously in his off-hand still.
”Yar! Go on!!… Bash the blasted door to smitherines! There hasn’t been a door built that could hold us back, crew!… Heave ho! And blow the dang thing to kingdom come!…”, he encourages from the sidelines.
If anyone looks like they are going to bash the door, he’d simultaneously rush across the room — a veritable riot if flapping leathers and buckles — and give the door a huge kick, to boot ((hopefully ‘helping’ anyone trying to smash the thing through force, maybe providing advantage?)).
Leesha is safe. Only 2 statues remain now. Invigorated and hasted by something, they move in unison, one attacking Isaak and Firebolg

investigation -1
Leesha looks at the closest pile of stone bits and tries to get a sense of the source, and if strong enough, direction of it's animation.
Arcana: 21
She'll then go see if the buffoons managed to open the door a bit.
Gruntor skips on a piece of metal and falls for 1 blunt damage.
Leesha, need a clarification: what do you mean by "source/direction of its animation"?

((Okay! Did we manage anything on the door?))
The door you were battering is still closed, though when you looked at it before the fight, it looked damaged. The other doors are unknown as these were not touched.
Leesha gestures at the damaged the door.
"Finish the job."
She then moves back.

Shun, barely breathing heavy, walks forward, stepping over broken statue pieces, and hefts Big Smusher again. It falls against the door, hard.
Attack: 15 Damage: 11
A giant crack appears at the door, and a rumbling can be hear beyond it.
Everyone roll dex saving throw.
