Serit stuffs a handful of the berries into his mouth and speaks through it, "A proper task. Hobgoblins are strong creatures though not nearly as tough as our kind," he says as he gestures to Gruntor and himself. "We will gladly teach them the benefits of banding together."

Gruntor nods at Serit's comment.  "Has fought thems before.  They speaks the same and are smrat."

 "As far as I know, they are not too friendly too each other, but I would have felt if there was massive bloodshed. Perhaps our hobgoblin friend knows more..."

Just waiting on the DM's response in the OOC for what Nasaar knows.

"Well, from what I recall, the two main groups see themselves as protectors against the humans." Nasarr says slowly. "They follow the Warrior's Code, no harming allies while at war and such." He shrugs. "Most internal issues are violent, but usually not fatal." He stabs another piece of food with his knife. "If we can convince them we are allies against the humans, and work out how to join them into a single unit, then that will be a great win."

"How? You tell them?", rasps the firbolg.

"Yes, we tell them" Vrakskan says to the firbolg with a nod. "It is the simplest way, and it is the way it should be. But I do fear things sometimes get more complicated"

He looks at the hobgoblin again. "You are one of their kind, right? Would they be willing to listen to you?"

"When. We go now?", the firbolg asks as he tosses a few berries in his mouth and brushes off his hands.

"Listen, maybe." Nasaar says with a shrug. "I am not from the old legion, so hard to say if they will care about what I say though."

The firbolg grunts and begins idly igniting his hand and snuffing it out, over and over. 

Old Bear asks:

 "Do you have any questions before you set out?"

He then beckons Serit, and hands a sack, similar to the one you got last time.

"You already know what to do. Once the mission is complete, give it to the highest ranked commander."

"Yes, I do have a question," Serit replies as he takes the bag, "What is in this? Do we not deserve to know?

"As for the hobgoblins, yes they will listen. If they choose not to then we will make them."

Vrakskan nods. He quickly devours the nuts and berries left on his 'plate' before standing.

"I pray that they might listen." He says. "But prayer is useless without taking action. Please, lead the way."

He turns to the others... and, for a fraction of a second, to an empty place beside him. "If there's nothing else to be said, let's go. We shouldn't wait any longer."

"You don't have a map of the area by any chance, do you?" 

The firbolg and bear stand ready.

Old Bear also hands Gara a basic map of the mountains.

Gara thanks Old Bear and starts to study the map.

Nadaar looks at the map over Gara's shoulder.

Gruntor pretends to look at the map, and then walks away muttering under his breath  "squiggly lines".

The firbolg eyes the very flammable looking map and stands well away, flame flicking on and off in his hand.
