Nasaar finds a suitable place to sit down and rest. He mostly ignores the other hobgoblins as he does so. Only if the commander summons them, or stops by, would he come to attention.
"Having slept decently, Nasaar grumbles as he is woken up the next morning. "Fine, fine." He mutters to the messenger. "Give me a moment..." He dons his gear and summons forth his force balista, prior to leaving the quarters given to him for the night. "Lead on then." He tells the messenger, as if it was them that was slowing things down not Nasaar himself.
The commander of the fort is a burly heavily armored minotaur. You can see he is surrounded by maps of the local area, with sites of clashes marked. He looks up as you come in.
"Ah, the auxillia. I guess I should first congratulate you for killing one of the giants. That was certainly helpful. The question is, what will you do now. We were hoping for a larger force to reinforce us, but is seems we, and you, are isolated here."
"We spoke up some ogres, it seems they don't want to work for the giants. If we can kill the giant's leader, it will throw them into chaos, and perhaps gain us ogre allies."

"Yes, hunting the one that calls himself "Big Maw" would certainly break apart the army he has built up. There are some problems however. The first is that this giant is more cautious, and does not go running by himself carelessly into battle, he sits on his throne and gives orders. The second issue is something you have seen yourselves. Ogres keeping themselves armed with complex weapons, ogres going on patrols, orgres knowing when to fall back... None of this is impossible, but these things require a greater mind from the commander than one I would ever expect from a giant."
"Seems to me that someone needs to get in close and see if this giant has something that makes him smarter than the run of the mill giant, or if there is something, or someone, else giving the giant orders." Nasaar speaks up. "Either way, an assassination mission on this giant, or a scouting mission to see what is the reason for this non-giant intelect behind the orders, it sounds like we need to get into the enemy camp and near this leader of theirs."
"We have scouts. We know the approximate location of the main ogre army. The giant is probably there. Perhaps we could provoke him somehow to either send his troops away from the army camp or come out himself."
"Very well. Let us know if you find anything which can help in the war. We will send our own scout teams as well. Should you need supplies, you can always return to the fort to rest."

You are allowed to rest at the fort before being summoned to the commander's headquarters.
(Long rest or short rest?)
Long rest, you are given some military lodging, which is spartan, but lets you rest yourselves.

Narancala takes the form of a small red songbird as she returns, perching on before nestling down on the firebolg's chest as he sleeps.

Nasaar stands back, a bit impressed with the leader's size and bulk, but feeling he has little to add that was not already said.
"If we know where this giants is we can hunts em"
The commander responds.

The minotaur responds.
"The troops in the fort can provide support. We could not fight the main ogre and giant force, but anything short of that can be done."
"Do you have scouts? To locate the giant leader to be taken out?", the firebolg asks.

"This would be good. Don't want to fight them all at once, but if he can be put down, it might take the fight out of the others."

"What will you do in the meanwhile? Will you join the scouts or will you operate independently?"
"Independently would be my choice." Nasaar says, glancing to his companions.
"We work well as a team.", the firebolg agrees.
