Can dogsleds hold 6 characters and 1 driver? Also you have to buy the dogs separately?
Depends how many dogs you have and how strong they are - dogs obey the same drag limits as humans, as for unclear reasons, quadrupeds get no carrying capacity bonuses.
Depends on the dogsled vendor, but ordinarily, I would assume you buy a dogsled from a woodcarver and dogs from a dog breeder.
An animal pulling a carriage, cart, chariot, sled, or wagon can move weight up to five times its base carrying capacity, including the weight of the vehicle. If multiple animals pull the same vehicle, they can add their carrying capacity together.
So that just leaves it to the size of a sled, which I would guess can fit about 4 people uncomfortably based on weight and cost compared to a wagon (which I have have to guess can fit about 6-8 people).
As for cost: sled dogs, bits, and bridles have to be all bought separately, though DM can adjust price for haggling, etc.
Also ignore the Adventure League recommendation on a dog rest every other hour. We figured a team of six dog sled team could go 6 hours. Hold 5 people 4 on the sled and the driver.
Since there are no official sizes for any land vehicles, that always has to be guessed. Not sure the short rest per 1 hour of travel thing is limited to AL, but it does seem pretty unfun and worth ignoring if only for that.
It's important to note the one hour resting rule only applies to dogs actively pulling the sled. What this means is by having enough dogs to rotate out in teams, you can greatly reduce or even remove the need to rest. This is how sled dogs operate irl gives a risk/reward when forming your sled teams; big teams with high pull strength or small teams with faster speed

Pulled this relevant rule from PHB:
